I don't like CHs any more than the next guy, but they do pay skill ponts for their pets, rather than getting them as a FP freebie. It would seem extremely unfair to prohibit CH pets from attacking factional targets.

Totally agree with you there! Whats not to like about CHs though?

Wow a change that makes sense...

As for the CH thing ..they spend skill points, they have to go out and train it...and to be honest most CH pets aren't even in the same ballpark as an AT/ST

Not just AT-STs. This should go for all Faction pets.

Kill the same mentality of someone ( of either faction ) running around with three NPCs to kill monsters. Stromtroopers, Rebel marines, any, and, all. If you want pets to kill PvE stuff become a CH.

My friend the bunny slater i love ya to death but this time i have to disagree first off an atst takes a lot of faction to get i dont think if it takes sombody 3 or 4 days of power gaming that you should tell him that he cant use it except in pvp thats just wrong i mean what if they are like me ? i play at 3 am est whebn ther is hardly anybody on and my levels are so high i have nop choice but to hunt big things and the at st helps greatly and if a person wants to hunt durni with his at st SO WHAT he earned it he can do what he wants with it right? i mean think of this and this will happen its just a matter of time i know of 2 people who have kimos and are just waitng to get to master ch whats goona balance that? an at st so you wanna hunt kimos huh or a krayt dragons ? you better have a hell of a tank to use on it cause your gonna need it if the group is small in other words i dont think that a person or a small group should be penalized cause they come on late of cant find anybody to group with or maybe its just one of those days where you dont want to group anyway all i am trying to say is this idea stinks.

Have you seen the rebel pets, they suck.

Anyway, just to mention this, I agree that faction pets should ONLY be able to attack faction targets. And just to mention this, if your imperial difficulty 14 missions give 80 faction for the base iteself holy crap. My Rebel difficulty 25 give me maybe 45-55 for the mission complete, but oh wait they somtimes have at-st's in them to kill... and oh yeah I get 13 faction at best if I kill that at-st... 13 faction for killing the at-st, something is definately wrong with that.

here is the thing, A imperial CHEF can grind to get 1 at-st. That at-st Lets them do the level 25 missions quickly, now yes they lose a lot of faction by doing that but they can shoot and get very fast weapon xp by using that pet, also the base faction + mission complete is still a LOT when you are doing higher difficulty missions if you are able to get them and use your at-st to complete them, ugh, the at-st's are so overpowered and you guys are going to cry about no longer being able to PVE with them, just get over it.. maybe we rebels will cry when we can no longer run around bullseye'ing womp rats but right now the AT-ST is not balanced for PVE at all, and anyone who argues otherwise is just out for thier own benefit.

I agree whole heartedly. I see Imps w/ AT-ST's on Endor, Lok, etc doing high lvl missions all the time raking in 300k a hour. This is unbalancing the game in favor of the Imperials massively. Not only do they have a large advantage in PvP but it allows Imps to amass a huge amount of cash doing missions they should not be able to do solo. These ppl will be able to buy Starships, Vehicles, etc, when they come out, with ease right now.

BTW when are the AT-STs going to be vulnerable to Blast damage?

No, I dont agree. For one, sometimes these faction pets are the only thing that help us take on stronger mobs. If you want to use the old "Creature handler is a profession" thing, then you should make AT-ST's free apon request along with all other faction pets. Becouse if I have to limit my use of such an expensive item that takes work to obtain the same as boxes in a profession, then I dont want to spend several hours working on faction points at 12 points per mission to get a 9400 FP at-st. If it can die permanantly and only in situations where it is bound to die, then make it free. or else its plain stupid. Sure creature handler is a profession, but the pets do not die, you can heal them, you can get a rancor bio engineered to have even more strength then it allready has, and it can fight in any situation. That sound fair? So what I have a facton pet that suffers perm death, cant be healed unless you put it up, if you die it dies, and I have to spend half a week working to get another one. You guys never think things threw whenever you cry nerf, its always something poorly thought out and even poorly executed

Notice imps hate the idea, i however like it made two posts to the same point and got flames.

Woot holo.

In regards to Ch pets:

Ch pets are the result of an elite profesion, and the existance of factional pets with high cl's undermines their acomplishments within thier profesion.

Ch profesion is fairly balanced atm, takes tons of skills points to get uber in it and ties many up in scouting, which limits other combat profesion options.

BEST of all maybe there will acually be battles at the battlefields

Screw that. If AT-ST's cannot be used for PVE purposes such as tanking a large creature so we can kill it, how do you justify someone using a graul to tank for them in PVP or on factional missions? Im sorry, you can try to justify pets in the star wars universe all you want, but the fact of the matter is not once did you ever see or hear of an imperial or rebel using a giant creature to fight for them in battle. If you are going to nerf the AT-ST's use in PVE do the same to CH's in PVP and factional PVE.

This one sided, short visioned nerf junk is what angers me.

you know the answer here isn't very hard to figure out. Ok, using your example, who can go out and get an AT-ST and have it hunt with them. Any Imp with enough FP or credits to buy one. Who can take a Graul out and hunt with it, oh, only CH's. Someone who has dedicated themselves to the training of animals for combat. Any tailor or chef could have an AT-ST walk behind them while they take on whatever they feel like. But myself, I'd be open to the fact that you must first obtain a certain rank, like Major, you know something reasonably high ranking to command an AT-ST. I don't think a Warrent Officer Second Class ought to have one assigned to him.

But the AT-ST and the CH are two completely different things, like apples and oranges. Also, Grauls don't have type 3 armor, and 70% resist to all damage except blast right?

Actually CH pets eventually wear away, they have a vitality score, and when it reaches 0/0 it's useless, months of training this pet and watching it grow till it is unuseable. I'm all for making all faction pets only able to fight in a faction battle. But I think it is very unfair to allow Imps to spend their faction points and give them the ability to go to endor and solo Goraxs.

Now you say, it should be free if it's limited to only Factional combat, or you don't want it because it costs hours to get, well honestly you don't have to spend your time to get it if you don't want it anymore.
