Generally I think most alpha's would love to get started but we also have been telling them to make it work rather then just push what they have. They are not lies - this is why they say they don't like saying stuff... people accuse them of lying when in fact when they give the info they give the best info they have at the time. Tryant has said that time and again. Want more info? stop saying they are lying when they can't deliver on something they talked about.
See the issue of galaxy wide group join - they just had to can that today because it creates other side effects that are unexpected - people are saying they lied already aboutitbut that is why it was in testing and not on live.
As for wether it will be three months or more before Alpha hits... I am pretty sure for what has been said lately we are getting ready/ramping up to start. I will not place a date - but it should as far as I can see be much closer then 3 months.

I guess even SOETryant is not as reliable as Garvin believed.
But it is not the missed deadline that really pisses me off. It is thelack of acknowledgment by them of the continuing delays. When I read Garvin's post in december,I beleived that SOETryant was different and was being honest with us.

PS...and I know this won't be any comfort, but SOETyrant did keep his promise...he NEVER stated that testing would start in January...He stated more information would come in January and it did...a lot more came...and that's what I was referring to in my post (I was stating that I believed he would start leaking out some CU Doc info...and we did see some of it come out)...
When it came to the Sandbox, it was me and others that kept saying it could be any day now and that we HOPED it would be in January...SOETyrant didn't say it would happen in January, and I can't find a dev post that did say the Sandbox would start in January...TH did make that post awhile back, but as we've all unfortunately learned, things change...

We have been working to complete the alpha version of Combat Upgrade since Publish 9.
Initial alpha testing will start in a few weeks. We are inviting correspondents, former correspondents and five people each current correspondent has chosen to do this initial testing. We expect alpha testing to take several weeks. When we reach the point where the implementation is complete but some tuning and debugging is needed, we will begin beta testing. At this time, we will begin inviting community members in who have signed up for beta testing. The closed beta testing will probably not start until after the Holidays, dependent on how quickly the alpha testing period has progressed.

As you see from the red highlighted section that the sandbox=alpha. Now please note form the green highlighted that closed beta is different from the the sandbox and will occur after the Sandbox is done.

Dont have the privileges to open clicky 4, and as for as Tyrant is concerned, I swear there are posts that are missing....
There was a time he was making quite a few posts between Nov and Jan...Now none are showing up...
I dont know...Its like they have disappeared in fear of players searching them out and calling him out on it. Which wouldnt surprise me in the least.
