Whomever gave Q that message to give to us is crazy. I'm not going to rant, do personal insults, demand, or anything of that sort. Simply put, whomever is working on the commando profession and giving the information to Q obviously is the WRONG person to do that job.

All these posts in this thread alone have vented anger and disgust at the "proposed fixes" to the commando profession. I know it's not the only profession in the game and it IS supposed to be a hard profession to gain, but when the basic concepts, rules, and attributes to the Commando don't even work right, that is something to worry about.

If the starting profession's were THIS messed up, i doubt most ppl would have stuck around for this long. I, for one, would not have DESPITE myself being a huge Star Wars fan who has been waiting for years for this game.

Basically, I think the major frustration that is coming from all this is the fact that there is little to no communication between players and the SWG crew.....although there are exceptions. I think that if SOE did emergency hire's for communication then at least we wouldn't be as frustrated as we are now, but I may be wrong.

I, as a commando and the only reason I bought this game was to be a commando, am pretty depressed at this first patch. On the bright side however, I plan on giving this game some time to develope in terms of gameplay and developer-customer communication. If these are not addressed, I will have to join the rest those other disallusioned individuals.

But, I plan on sticking through this and trying to help the rest of the Commando's and Soon-to-be Commando's with their problems.

I know it's only on Corbantis, but hopefully i can answer whatever questions you need. I am not a Master Commando, and relatively speaking, I don't have the tiers filled (due to ingame reasons). But I'll try and help answer any commando's and potential commando's question thrown my way, if I can.

Once again, Syklo Styx. Nevermind me being an Imperial because right now I think the profession needs work before I can roleplay the Galactic Civil War, so I'll help ANY commando out there that needs help in Corbantis.

Yes as the name implies i am female..

I know it is unheard of to go Dancer/Commando because dancing gimps my combat stats or whatever, doest help them.

I went commando, took me a week to get the master marksman and even longer to actually find a commando that could tell me where a trainer was, because commandos like, dont exist.

I had been using the FT i bought and the LP cause it was like relly cool. Well, i was doing like 13 damage on a good shot(uncertified with the flamethrower)

I went on a tour to Lok just too see what kind of XP i could get there. took me a little while to get in a group, np, i got one and i was happy, was great even had a squad leader(BTW as commando, I WILL NEVER GET IN A GRP W/O A SL, as it takes me about the same amount of time to get in position to shoot as it does for the other professions to kill my targets, i like the group to be on a target and be organized) Ok, well we went hunting Kimo's, cool, never seen one, theyre HUGE. Well, we all get in position and amazingly, i was shooying like crazy with my FT, i felt GREAT, i was doing some damage, then i clicked on the combat tab, and to my surprise i was hitting for around 13-50 AGAIN, so i ask myself "AM I STILL NOT QUALIFIED OR WHAT?", no biggy, so i get up and get a little closer, heh, DONT DO THAT NEAR A KIMO........somehow to get that close i lost all but about 3 points on my action bar, and i mean wound damage, said i was diseased or something, WOW, i was putting on a GREAT fireworks display, that was about it though.....Well, the Kimo falls, and to my surprise.......**edit** i got no XP???

So i went back home on Naboo. Found me a diseased nuna, WOW, was i gonna surprise a nooby, hehe o did i, i flamed him for bout 45 seconds b4 he died, i showed my FT off all the time, until one asked me, are u certified for that, ur not doing any damage..........well, not gonna show that off anymore.

So, i start using the LP and now that im certified i was pretty impressed, but WHY AM I GETTING PISTOL XP ON A COMMANDO ONLY WEP???? So i trained pistoleer(ok, i know that is kinda blowing my own class off, but i didnt no what to do, i never read these boards and i was thinking that i might have missed soemthing somewhere) My intentions were to make a good rank in pistoleer and show my LP off cause it was pretty, ummmm, wait a minute, my scout blaster does more damage than this, what am i thinking, o well, its pretty.

Well, after a long day today of fighting light blues, cause its all i can kill with my LP and body shot 2, i decided something is wrong, so i go to my clan leader and he reffers me here.

ummmm, this is posed to be a profession, what am i posed to do with it........i am not going to stick a rocket launcher in a nunas nose at close range, i am retired AF, im not dumb(i like to think that anywayz:smileyhappy Going on, i would like to agree with EVERY and i do mean EVERY thread i just went through saying that this is the worst thing i have ever, EVER, seen in ANY GAME(i played EQ for 2 years, much more fun than trying to find out why i have a FT that does nothing but look good in prone)

On top of that, ive not seen the Acid Rifle or the beam cannon or the rocket launcher, i talked to a master weaponsmith this morning to try and get some help on why i couldnt find them anywhere and they said its not worth making, so i said well, whats wrong with making it for me, TOO HARD AND NOT WORTH IT. Ok i am commando with no income cause i cant kill a Gnort without a grp, HOW THE HELL AM I POSED TO AFFORD A 30K WEAPON OR MULTIPLE WEAPONS AT THAT PRICE????**edit**???? ARE U KIDDING ME?? I had to get donations as a dancer(which isnt good income for me since the cantine DOES NOT PAY A GOOD RATE OR ANYTHING, and im not so sure i wanna act like a whore to get tips.....it took me weeks to get the money for the LP and FT, and FOR WHAT??? i cant get good xp with a FT cause i cant kill anything and the LP is a **edit** pistol.

Well, in closing i would like to say, Devs are overpayed, they should pay us to do us like this, and furthermore, i would like to say that this profession is nothing more than a GREAT thing to sit in the middle of a big town, duel someone and juss shoot at them for the pretty show, cause u definatly wont kill him/her

P.S. im still going to stay a novice commando just because i love the graphics on the LP, but im sorry i have no choice but to persue pistoleer cause its the only way i can do any damage at all. Any tips on getting money so i can afford to buy these gimped weapons, and where to get them?

ShadeofWar pretty much summed it up. I'm not a commando, don't plan to be, but this is absolutely ridiculous. I don't like the fact that commandos are so unbelievably gimped BY DESIGN that they can't be included in a game I also play in. I'd love to have a commando in my party if the **edit** class worked, same with fighting against one. This is a very big problem. Dev response to this post should be MANDATORY.

Even if it's only because a girl said in a post "So I went commando." (Sorry, had to take it)
