The dev(s) who put together the commando class needs to be taken out into the street and shot.

Didn't want to read thru all the post so I apologize beforehand if I'm repeating some things that others have said. To the person that said "bazooks were shot at close range". Only at first. The issue with this being that the german armor was so thick that they had to for any chance to penetrate. And in many cases it still didn't help. Nowadays you won't see heavy weapons used close up. Anyone tried to fire a TOW about three feet from a target? I very much doubt if they would survive to be here to talk about it. Do you set up a heavy machine-gun position three feet from the enemy? Of course not. It's idiotic. Heavy weapons (excluding the flamerthrower) are set at your own lines or behind them as support. That is why heavy weapons are also called support weapons. But here is how screwing things are in SWg in regards to this. Not only do the heavy weapons have a short range as designed. You have very long delays between shots. So let me get this straight. I hit a target three feet away with my rocket launcher since that's ideal range as designed. I then have to wait twelve seconds to fire again? Add in the bad damage the weapon does (if I can even hit) and I'm stuck there for awhile as the MOB beats on me. At least the rifleman/carbiner/pistoleer can start far enough to give them a chance at a second shot before it attacks even if the don't move. But then according to them the heavy weapons are a secondary weapon? Now I ask this. Why would I use a heavyweapon with no range, bad damage, and very long delays between shots. Even as a secondary? I'm better off using any other weapon. I can do it from further away minimizing damage to myself and do more damage in a shorter period of time. If heavy weapons are a secondary thing then make them part of the support brank in marksman. Don't devote a whole elite class to something that is so secondary to be pointless. The comments I see about commandos from the developers seem to be contradictory. Weapons are rare since they are powerful (ever try to use one?). The weapons aren't meant to be primary weapons (So why did I spend so long to get Master Marksman and Expert Unarmed? Just so I can keep using my rifle, pistol or carbine?). I really think someone need to completely re-evaluate what commandos are suppose to be. It seems not even the devs know at the moment. Why are there so few commandos it seems? If all the combat classes were even close to being balanced you should have about the same numbers in each. It stands to reason. Any guesses on the numbers of commandos out there? Bet it's far less than the rest. Read thru the posts in this area. You'll find out why so few want to play them and why those that do are so irrate.

I just had to register after i read that post. Did I buy a Collector's Edition Beta????

I have been a Commando for 2 weeks and have gathered a vast amount of 100 Heavy Weapon Exp. Every weapon I have been unable to obtain due to lack of resourcesand the ones I have obtainedare been broken. They do crappy damage and I don't even bother to attempt to engage in combat using my so called "heavy weapons". I still had a little faith that in a week or two mabye after this so called "big update" Commando would recieve a huge facelift for the next update. But I come onto the forum to read this big pile of bullcrap.....

Congradulations, I have no faith

My condolences on the death of your profession, guys.

I really, honestly thought that commandos would be fixed big time; I thought that a profession so broken must be a huge priority. I'm really sorry for you guys, it's sick.

Why waiting 3 weeks to post a **edit** like that.

You just had to told me 3 weeks ago that you dont give a .... about customer opinion and i would have put my time in an other class.

Now is to late, im quiting this game and the worst developper team i ever saw and ever heard about.

Be sure that nobody i know will have positive feedback on this game!

It would have been so simple to fix the class....

Sorry about the no enter thing earlier. Hope this helps some. I'm just a little irrate like most of us.

The issue with this being that the german armor was so thick that they had to for any chance to penetrate. Also rocket launched AT weapons were new and not well developed. Some didn't even have shaped warhead. Nowadays you won't see heavy weapons used close up. Anyone tried to fire a TOW about three feet from a target? I very much doubt if they would survive to be here to talk about it. Do you set up a heavy machine-gun position three feet from the enemy? Of course not. It's idiotic.

Well, it's been said before, but however at SoE its stuck-up on making Commando weapons to be extreme close range, all I can say is boot his arse up till he wakes up

lol, if people wanted melee range they'd play melee chars? Bet a TKA kills a monster 4 times faster than a Commando even at close range

I can only laugh at the thought of someone having to walk up to inches of someone in order to use his Flame-Thrower on him, or even worse, his Rocket Laucher

lol,

Basically the Dev's contradicted themselves by saying that the heavy weapons have Crap stats because the specials "shine" , then they say that the specials are "not designed to be primary moves" . Anyone else notice this contradiction??

NoTIG

Ya, we sure did. We also noticed the hurculian effort it takes to even get them to make any of those statments. We are truely doomed.

My, what a frustrating update that is.

Here are answers, and I have no hope that moderators actually read this stuff, but maybe someone will:

First level of Commando weapons - fast attacking semi-automatics that add up to a lot of damage equal to your TK's, but can do mass spray damage or something AE to make us unique.

Second level of Commando weapons - slow attacking HUGE damage weapons. These are nukes, plain and simple. The damage done is stronger than any special move out there, at a reasonable range.

Grenades - Make them easier and more charges per combine (20 instead of 5) for weaponsmiths. Right now they are not worth using.

How hard is this to do?
