Well why cant we make the issue into something else. Since Bounty Hunters wish to save 15 skill points and be able to do that. Which probably will not happen.

Why cant we lower the number of skill points for a beginning class? Scout/Medic/ Etc...

To maybe give us the players a few more skill points and the ability to earn something else.

I look at this as a long term game and in the game itself. A Skill Pt system is to limited to the player who will play the same person over and over and over again.

So lower the cost on the starting class to say something like 5pts per class and free up 10pts to put somewhere else. How will doing something like that seriously imbalance the game?

Then after lowering the basic classes amount of skill points Raise the Elite and Hybrid classes skill pts for the Novice level. That will keep people from advancing through those professions and creating some really strong characters.

Its a suggestion that will work if implemented correctly and gives the players something else to strive for other than playing the game and only having some gimp loot to show for it.

Hi, I am a bounty hunter almost master 3/4/4/4

I was sorta shocked when I saw the medic proposal(was also opposed to it). I am just here to say, please dont get all up in arms about it.

There are a number of reasons why you should be upset, but let me clear up a few things.

1) Alot of people have bad feelings about bounty hunters, they are very common and as such your chances of seeing a jerk bounty hunter is higher. While there may be many many bounty hunters, ones persuing master (investigation) are much rarer. The bounty hunter profession is really infested(very good word for it) with dabblers who just want the attack mods/specials. There is actually no real reward for pursuing investigation, and Wepps, our correspondant is looking for things to add to the line, as of right now overall its just consumes points, with no reward.

2) the medic proposal was just that, a proposal, along with a bunch of others as possiblities we could add to the non rewarding investigation tree. It, in my opinion was not a very good one, and of course some people would love to have it, and voiced that opinion. Myself, of course I would love to have it as well, but I see it as unrealistic. This proposal will never happen though. Too many bounty hunters themselves are against it. No need to get your panties in a bunch about it.

Maybe you guys could offer some wisdom on what to add to a skill tree that has the sole purpose of making money. Right now it gains us credits at roughly 1/5th to 1/10th the rate (depending on playstyle and template) that normal destroy missions would give. The idea of just making the missions pay more seems to make too much sense to the devs for them ever to act upon that idea.

Absolutely not. There is no medical XP whatsoever required in the bounty hunter profession. You don't get better at healing people by playing with a bounty terminal.

Well there is more flip flopping on this, and the Bounty Hunter correspondent has officially put this proposal back on the table. Here's the newest thread:

The idea of the huge skill points usage for mastering BH is prevalent still.

Although we are still hashing out bug issues, there are possibilities of adding a few more skills to us that otherwise would require us to ask for major changes in our marks.

One of these issues is the fact that it takes another 17 skills (of the last 33 we have) in order to attain First Aid I in the Medic trees.

A Bounty Hunter without medic skills is asking for a serious amount of downtime. Why is this an issue then?

Because yesterday the poll asked the player base what their intentions were when playing the game. What they like to do? A full 1/3 of the player base voting chose SOLO PvE as the poll result. This means DEV team will now be addressing issues which make the game easier to solo. This is great for the Casual player, it is also a tremendous boost to the Bounty Hunter who, by our nature, are solo PvEers through the Investigations tree.

The proposal to help solve the issue for Bounty Hunters is this:

Add First Aid I, andthe complete associated skills of Novice Medic, to Investigation 1 skill box.

First aid would be used for healing perma damage and temporary damage at basic rates, and the skill would be self-only.

Stimpacks and medpacks would have to be purchased.

This frees up enough skills to go pursue Ranger skills to track humanoid targets, and allows the Bounty Hunter the ability to heal in combat, reducing the need to change all Bounty Hunter Mark cons.

*shakes head*

well once i get to master doc, master CM (to be an effective healer/buffer/rezzer) i will also have very few skillpoints left. can we start a petition to get flamethrower cert and flamecone 1 at doctor's crafting? cause it really is a pain to SOLO PvE with a DL44 weapon. granted downtimes aren't an issue pretty much but killing a bantha takes forever...

Dont blame us friendly bounty hunters because our dev is being idiotic. In no way shouldwe be given basic medic skills. Our profession is strong because we are limited in what we can do after hitting master. We are limited by having only 33 skill points at master. Our dev seems to think we should be given medic skills so we can then get ranger tracking skills. My opinion is you take one you cant have the other. We get plenty for the 217 we spend.

I disagree. They do nothing even close to the medic lineup all the way to BH. The fact that a BH take 200 + points to be master leaves them with a few skill points. They will now be able to put them into other backup professions they normally shouldnt be able because they would of had to of used to those points in medic. Im sorry but a MAster BH kicks butt, even with eyeshot moved. They have owned PvsP since day 1 and they still want more. Enough is enough. They want healing skills, use the remaining points after Master BH to get medic. I see no reason why a BH should be capable of self healing on any level. They arent gettign nerfed, they keep their eyeshot, its just being moved to a more reasonable tier for the damage it does.
