For as long as BH has eye shot, BH should not be allowed free medic skills. In PvP a profession that can spam a devastating attack on the Mind bar is already overpowered.

If you give bounty hunters the ability to heal, then give doctors a combat ability... like a point-blank 'lethal' injection.

I think the idea is a cheap way to get outta needing a doc... other than to buy stims..

Funny how people just like to troll the boards to get people started and in a bundle about the most childish things.

If you read my post again, most BH's were against the very idea of getting any medic skills for free and some idiot came running to medic boards to throw this in your medics face just to start trouble. So if you think we are over at the BH board all yelling "YES TO FREE MEDIC SKILLS" your wrong, when in fact its the other way around. If some of the whiners would learn to read a bit and not just the f'in title they wouldnt jump to childish assumptions like our friend surfer here...All the thread on the BH board was just a brainstorm that is all. No harm done. Whats sick is these are our boards to discuss stuff about our professions and 90% of the people onthem grief and whine instead of helping their own profession. Thats when the nerf bats swings and hits us all.

Speaking of reading posts again, you obviously didn't do a careful job reading mine, which was the original post.

I indicated that Bounty Hunters were divided on this. I provided a link so people could read the proposals for themselves. I even summarized the basic argument in case someone didn't feel like reading through a dozen pages of teeter-tottering. Everything you're protesting that people should know is already available for them to read, if not in the original post, then in the linked thread.

If you've got nothing better than personally flame me and call me a troll, so be it, but as you say yourself, these are our boards to discuss things pertaining to professions. I informed fellow medical professionals about a debate that concerned our skills, and I did so in a way that I'll defend as level-headed, neutral, and not sensational at all. On the contrary, YOU have entered this forum and have started bashing others. That makes YOU the unconstructive troll.

That was one proposal floated by the new Bounty Hunter correspondent. The idea was to get Novice Medic and First Aid 1 thrown into one of the first boxes of their skilltree(and FYI,it really seemed like many people wanted First Aid 2 so they could stop bleeding):

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=bounty_hunter&message.id=61011&view=by_date_ascending&page=1

The forum was and still isdivided on the issue, and many people predicted that Medics would be up in arms if Bounty Hunters got these types of skills added to their skilltree at no cost. The correspondent officially retracted the proposal early on in favor of pursuing other goals. However, the correspondentlater claimed that he still supported the idea, which means that it may resurface in the future after his current wishlist is settled.

So, Combat Medics -what do you think of that idea?

BHs should not get medic skills if they didn't invest the points in the medic profession. It would hurt the healing classes and give the BHs something for nothing, so my answer would be no.

sorry to say if it is just the /healdamage command, I might be willing to let it slide depending on feedback from the medics, docs, and CM's. I can see a bounty hunter being able to heal any damage to his stats just to get the job done, but if they want to take care of wounds and bleeding on the spot, they should take a medic class with them

sigh... Another golden age of a lack lustre BH coorespondant creating hate on his own profession by making BH an "all in one inclusive class" just because they take a lot of skillpoints to master.

Well give me some LLC skills in my combat medic support line and you can have your healing skills in investigation, because that makes just about as much sense! Seriously sometimes I wonder what soe is actually looking at when they pick some of these guys...

if they get that I wonder what's next?

Free buffs? poisons? CH skills? Entertainer?

I don't know why they want that, well they want to save skillpoints, who doesn't. But I mean even if the master BH then can still pickup novice medic AND first aid 4 if they want.

But of course then they can't dabble in pistoleer/carbineer.

No medical skills without taking Novice Medic.
