That's not true, people spoke up aginst it - see examples in the threads provided. And even in the vote list itself:

But it does not matter now, what's done is done and we just have to wait and see for change to be published and tested.

I just want to make sure that our new correspondent will put nerfing changes in the list cautiously.

Again please understand it's not an attack on HoT, or Zarlor, but think of it this way: if I pick up novice doctor, come to Doctor forum and post on the current issue list a request to make CM diseases hit harder to be on par with cure disease packs, would it be included in the Doctor list ?

There is 1 (one) post asking for review, the post is from a MASTER doctor, who in other thread I already mentioned said that he usually cures poisons with one application.

There is only YOUR post asking for it.

> So far you keep giving me a one sided argument here, that in your experience your poisons

I gave examples from doctors saying the same thing (one application cures poison), I ran the tests (and I will run some more as soon as I find a doctor who will be able to post SS of the cure packs that he make, because apparently my word is not good enough), I had myself cured in battle with one application by a friendly doc and I had my poisons removed in battle with one application and (comparing to poison stats in other thread), I'd say the poisons I make are of a very high quality.

If it's onesided - oh well...

> I'd still list it as an issue because other folks around here are listing it as an issue

One person who also happen to be a doctor asked for review (which is more testing in my opinion) - and now it's addressed by devs

And it should not come as a surprise either, what happens is that issues like that gets resolved real fast on the grounds of "well even if combat medics themself said it's a big deal then it must be", whereas it's just a misrepresentation and issue was put in by a doctor, and pushed by a doctor.

Again I appretiate the work that you did and do (everything but this issue), however I would like to see our own correspondent appointed ASAP, and I would like for a person elected to NOT list issues reported by other classes that are harming our profession.

Actually, if you could show me that Cure Bs were doing something like curing Poison Cs, yeah I WOULD put that on the list if a couple of other people would respond in the thread to back up the claim. I'm not at all above accepting that corrections may need to be made in whatever profession to keep things balanced.

Where that issue would go on the list would then depend on the vote, though. So if only 2 people vote for it as their #10 issue, it's going to stay near the bottom of the list.

my only concern if they fix the use on AE diseases...is will they target corpses not cloned yet like AE poisons do on occasion?? if they end up doing that.....

...at least we'll see a lot of attention to CM's...maybe

Personally I think the reason that we continually have so many of these bugs (typos?? I mean really...that is an easy fix) is because we are a really small community within the game. Most of the resources are going to be devoted to where there are more people. This is the House of Representatives, not the Senate. It comes down to money. More BH/Commandos/Smugglers pay money to SOE then we do. It is a business decision by the company to devote resources to the biggest client. Does this make it excusable? No. As for the Combat Med Use Level for AoE Disease Pack C's, if there was a weapon for Commandos or BH's that they could not get a cert for ever, it would be patched immediately. As for opening up discussion about what other professions would like from us, I am all for it. But mediation requires BOTH sides to come to an agreement, a middle ground. If they are willing to listen to our requests for them, then I am ready to listen to what they want.

What Zalor posted was for the medical classes. Not just for CM. Besides, the changing of cure poisons affects combat medics. I am a firm believer that if the same quality resources went into the cure packs as the poisons then the cure pack should cure in one hit. Although non-doc CMs will have a tougher time due to the limited number of expiramentation points on the componants.

Is it true they are adding the terrain negotiating to the CM trees?

If so, that will actually make it a combat medic that can keep up with the troops.

IMHO. IF they are balancing Like cure to like poison, fine. (Actuall I think the imbalance, shoudl should proerly be there, is that I think it will gernally cost a Doc more mind to admister a cure than it does for the CM to toss the poison. I've been meaning to test that, though.)

Z first I want to take this time to thank you for everything that you have done for this forum. Now on to my laughter uh rebuttal.

I in no way think it will EVER take a Doctor more mind to administer a cure than it takes a CM to toss the poison. The reason i say this is simple. 8 in 10 stick. 1 cure cures. Do the math with the mind points but IF and I say that with a HUGE IF we get it to stick on the first maybe the second throw then yes it will cost more for the Doctor. But fat chance that happens.

Once you get to the 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th throw now add in the mind shots and head shots and eye shots the CM is getting while trying this and you have the CM laying on the ground drooling because he has no mind left while the doctor moseys up to the person and cures them.

Why am I paying $15.00 a month to play a beta that I wasn't even allowed into at first? Geez game testing is getting out of hand these days.

Well, Ded. All I can say is if you are having that bad of stick rates, you need to experiment better on your Ease of Use stat, since that also effect Potency. Get it up around 90 or higher and it will always stick.

Sorry, I didn't mean tosuggest that they couldn't be resisted, only that it was a pretty rare occurence. While I suppose it could be said that a cure is 100% guaranteed to go off. (I'm not certain if there is any of the same variability in how much a cure shaves off of a poison, though.)

At any rate, I still think the CM should have the edge in the encounter, but only slightly. I'm just not exactly positive it that is (or I should say will be) the case or not. THat's just my take on it, though. The Devs may have a different view which may suggest they should be direct counters.

Of course in that case just use an AoE poison as no Doc has a direct counter for that if they get cought bunched up in a group.

Do you think the DEV's should take into consideration that Doctors out number Combat Medics something like 10-1? (not sure about that, but on my server it seems to be about that ratio). With all these Docs around, it seems they should leave the Combat Medic with a slight advantage in this Poision vs Cure issue. Just a thought. Also the coolest thing happened about a week ago... I killed an NPC and the loot I got was an Advanced Resilance Compound! It was S-T-R-O-N-G too! I could only make A version grenades, so I put it into a Disease-A. It lasted longer than any C disease I can make now. ! I wish I wrote down the specs of it now that I think of it. Oh well...
