I think it's a problem. I think you need redress and a fix to make it viable for you.

I am still of the mind though that there has to be other solutions besides giving BH med use that get you what you need/want without making BH more uber/solo/less-dependent.

I'd be happy to help you think along those lines.

"Ok, show of hands, how many of you would be willing to take an hour out of your life to heal someone two times? What would it cost? I would expect that I would have to pay the same cost that you can make in an hour - so what can you make in an hour. I have 830K in the bank right now - how many times could I hire you?"

Dude, the fact that you HAVE 830k just goes to show you have nothing to complain about financially. Find me a combat medic that has 830k. Heck, find me a combat medic who has 400k. Aint gonna happen. Suck it up and hire somebody. My rate is 10k an hour.

"Ok... how is that all that much different than a BH getting a lesser heal that ony works on themselves? Here let me turn the resposese to me back on you. You (apparently from what you just said) have enough points to get the rez skill from Doctor. Suck it up and spend the points if you want the skill."

There's many who also feel combat medic should not get revive including myself. Oh and I am a master doctor too. I did suck it up.

"Also, to get back to my point (hey I am a BHer it is all about me right?) how exactly does this proposed skill (the one in my first post on this thread) detract from those in the medical professions? I am not 100% certain if that is the issue or just that you think this is a skill point grab... or both."

If you can heal yourself what do you need a medic for? Nothing. It would make medics obsolete.

To the BH's posting about wanting a Medic to accompany them.

Did you know that if we heal you while fighting a mark they can then turn on us? Happened to me out in the field once. I already have it chronicled in the SWG Discussion forum.

Before and immediately after I healed the BH I could not target the mark. Within a short amount of time I found myself getting fired upon by his mark.

All BH's have points left over after they take all the skills they need for BH. Take Novice Medic and buy some Stim A's or B's.

I understand the Investigation line is hard to accumulate xps for, but you shouldn't get healing init. You are investigators, not healers. Leave that to the ones that want to to it.

Please read the post I made showing the costs to bring someone with me. My 800K isn't going to last very long if I do.

Put your number of 10K in and the cost dops to a total of just over 4 million... and a per heal cost of about 4000 credits.

"I am a master doctor too. I did suck it up"

I am a novice medic... so I did too.

"If you can heal yourself what do you need a medic for"

I actually have less need of medics at the moment than I would with my proposal - at the moment I can heal some (all?) of my own wounds - I propose a stimpack that is less powerful than stim-Bs only so no ability to wound heal. Taking away the "need" for me to be a novice medic actually increses my depenedence on them. I also take more away from medics at the moment - I will heal other people with my stim-Bs - under the proposal I could heal only myself.

Also, as I have been pointing out, there are no medics handy in the middle of Endor... which forces me to have novice medic which means I can do the above. When I reach master BHer I will keep novice medic so my need on you won't change either.

You must have been the same faction as the BHer. If the BHer is neutral (or you are) then this does not happen. I would also say that is a bug that should be fixed.

Sigh... this interdependece argument doesn't work - as you point out I can (and have) take nove medic and have no need of you. Where is the interdependence?

To not take novice medic and have someone come along for the 300+ hour trip is going to be rather expensive (see otehr post). There is no viable alternative but to take novice medic. Other classes do not have this "problem" as then can (legitimatly and always) group with other people.

"What I said was that if you get the ability to use stim-b's"

I never propsed the sue of stim-Bs (I think I did agree with getting +5 med usage in the BH board - but I have since decided that that is a very bad idea).

I did propose a stim that is BH specific (used by them on them only) that is less powerful than a stim-B.

Also, as I showed, you get a wole 5 points more under my proposal by taking master than by going 0-4-4-4. So the PvP 1337 wannabees are going to slog through 300+ hours of investigation to simply get 5 points? And they wind up being less versitile than if they took novice medic? That doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

217 - 1- 2 - 3 - 4 = 207 (for a 0-4-4-4 BH) + 15 for novice medic = 222 points. 300 hours to simply get 5 skill points? Do you think a massive number of people will do that?

"then more customers buying stim-b's "

I also proposed to make the BH packs more expensive to make (or harder at least) thus getting you more chance for profit (but I could be wrong).

"Like you can heal using a stim-b every 20 minutes...that i would probably not have a problem with"

Twice every half hour would do. That means I could healk at 10:00:00 and 10:00:15 and then again at 10:30:15.

The typical usage (for me) is teo stim-Bs durring a fight with a mark. At the lowest level missions it is possible to do one miute every 5 minutes (unlikely but possible). But at that point you would not have the medical bouns (in my proposal) anyways so it is moot.

That I could live with (see ideas do come out fo things like this! :-)

Bad day - I for got the -5... so they are even. So 0-4-4-4 BHers with medic skills would have the same and a master BHer with (under what I want) less medic skills. The 0-4-4-4 BHer would be a more effective medic and get it in 1 second no 300+ hours.

So there should not be all that many people "rushing" (you ever try to rush 300+ hours?) to get master BHer for "free" healing?

Here's an idea, befriend a doc or hire one to follow you around. I've been hired before. While I'm not exactly cheap I will do everything in my power to insure your survival when you're paying me. But now you say you can't make a profit while hiring a medic/doc/cm to level?

Hah, try leveling as a doctor sitting around in the hospital getting tipped maybe 1k a day for woundpack d's on people with black bars. Then whine to use about losing money when leveling. This is one class that has no sympathy for anyone who has to pay to level.

You read the part where I would lose money if I hiered anyone - all I need is a novice medic anyways. The XP would be terrible for whomever it is... and overall it would be a rather large waste for them.

It is literaly one hour over waiting/travelling and one minute of fighting.

I guess you folks were just joking when you asked for Bio Weapon.

I see CM as healer, and since official web page call you healer with some combat skill to improve your survivability, I would say CM are not even close to being a combat profession.

But ofcourse I am wrong, and we all know CM are supposed to be kick ass combat class and frankly CM skill class doesn't have enough offesive benifit right? so ofcourse bio weapon make perfect sense. as well as Terrain Navigation, weapon bonus, etc, etc.

But BH think they need more healing benifit in thier skill tree?!? They must be out of their mind!!!

Umm... okay.

The big difference here is that we require combat experience (see Marksman) to even gain entry into Combat Medic. So here's my solution: Add an additional required Medical Line to the BH requirements (yup, 29 points) then you can get healing skills if ya want... and you can use your 4 left over skills points to polish your Schwinn you juvenile freaks.

Oops I hit the wrong key... I tip 1K per person that heals me (you need better customers!). It isn't really the lost money that is an issue (though to do that for any real length of time would be impossible).

I was not whining about losing money really - I was just describing the missions - showing the impracticality of the situation.

The thing is, for all of the people sayil that BHers are too strong - there is no real addition in streanght by getting master (and none while doing the investigation line). The argument is perfectly valid for the 0-X-X-X BHers (the PvP want to be uber people) - those people are not going to do 300+ hours of investigation - they are going to put points into pistoleer, carbiner, CH, or perhaps commando. I doubt you will find may 1337 people going for Master BHer - it isn't the right skill set. Like I said they are better off getting novice medic anyways - faster to obtain and better thatn what I proposed.

Bounty Hunters: 0 , Phrakture: 1

Score one for our team, lol.

Seriously though, how can you people NOT find it juvenile to request this? If it's a problem and you just need healing for the investigation line, here's a thought: this game has given you the ability to lose unwanted skills, so get novice medic and FA2 until you complete investigation and then LOSE THEM. I don't want to see a bounty hunter have MORE skill points to spend in pistoleer so they can eyeshot me better. Sorry to say it, but you guys sound like the little rich girl from "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" - I want it all!
