No i dont think we should be given Improved Bacta Shot at Master CM here is why:


Doctor have no defenses outside of their heals whilea Combat Medic we canstick on a -50.00 mind regeneration debuff(useful in PVP) a mezz attack called Paralyze without bio-suppression skill tapes it lasts 15 seconds Thyroid Rupture -40.00 Combat Speed,movement debuff etc.


While a Doctor only has their Heals to keep them alive they do not have anything Offensive all Doctor abilities are Defensive or Counter Combat Medic abilities extinguish fire, poison resist buff, poison/disease cure, etc.


Combat Medic Healing is fine in my opinion i heal 1.2k Health with Bacta Shot maybe since i have a +18 Healing Efficiency Shirt and 1000 - 1100 with Advanced Bacta Toss


If you really need Improved Bacta Shot you should try and work 2xxx Doctor into your template.

I tend to agree with this. Personally I'd rather see infect made more useful.

The self-root has been around since launch (It was NOT added later) and it was at one time one of our top issues. However the Devs haven't deattched the animation from the ability as of yet, though I could bring it up if it is desired.

K Psi, if you can get the devs to look at the rooting that would be great... it is rather annoying.


So, what I will ask you Psi is whether the devs want a MCM to be better at healing than a dabbler or betterat offense.... cause basically the only good things I see at MCM is the rez ability, improved traumatize and improved paralyze.... even at that doctors have a rez ability and improved paralyze is still the weakest daze in the game (stasis and concussion shot are much longer and have a longer range)... So if you could get back to us on that that would be great!


Tally so far:


10 - for improved bacta shot


14 - against improved bacta shot

(1 - Wants drag and a more useful Infect ability at MCM

2 - Want infect improved or replaced

5- correct the toss animation so we dont have to stop moving

1 - Move bacta toss to Novice CM and move adv bacta toss to MCM)


1 - leaving the profession

I think doc's should have doc skills and cm's should have cm skills.


Rather than give us a good working doc skill id like to have our disease work like the master skill its suppost to be and let us be the 4 in offence we are suppost to be...or was it 3...as it is were a 2 in croud controle (one target fairly well but only when close) and a 1 in offence and a 2 in defence/support just because of our healing.

Offense (4)


Defense (2)


Crowd Control (3)


But really I do think we are:


Offense (2.5)


Defense (2)


Crowd Control (4)..... our debuffs are great crowd control in my opinion, but i dont know if the devs consider that to be offense or crowd control

Thanks to everyone for your comments... I've beenthinking about them and have come to the realization that the Devs at least need to fix infect and if that is done and it becomes effective, I could be happy with our healing situation. I really dont think we have the (4) in offense that they state we do.... lol my dots get 60 dps (my gun at least gets 150 dps against master defenders!!!) and this needs to be corrected in the next few publishes to fix bugs!


Really I think advance infect should reduce max health by 20% over a 2 to 5 minute period, that way we have an ability that effectively counters nutrient injection (i think thats what its called)! Once the person recovers from the disease, the max health should regenerate at twice the rate of degeneration.Here is a sample of thecombat spam as follows:


[0 secs] Combat Medic hasinfected Opponent with a disease!


[0 secs] Combat Medic hasreduced Opponent's Max Health1% through a disease!


[10 secs] Combat Medic has reduced Opponent's Max Health 2% through a disease!


................................. etc.....................................


[3 mins 10 secs] Combat Medic hasreduced Opponent's Max Health20% through a disease!


[3 mins 10 secs] Opponent is nowrecovering from beingdiseased


[3 mins 15 secs] Opponent's Max Health has regenerated and is only reduced by 19%!


[3 mins 20 secs] Opponent's Max Health has regenerated and is only reduced by 18%!


................................. etc.....................................


[4 mins 50 secs] Opponent's Max Health has regenerated and is only reduced by 0%!


[4 mins 50 secs] Opponent has fully recovered from being diseased!


There are numerous ways to counter this effect:


1) Eating food would increase your health therefore with a spice and some food your health would still be above its normal (3k health + 250 thru food + 20% thru spice = about 27% increase in health.... with infect working health decreased by 20% of 127% = 102%)


2) Nutrient Injection is a 10% increase so still not too bad of a decrease


3) Possibly cause it so that once the combat medic infects an opponent he/she can not reinfect the opponent until they start to recover from the disease or possibly fully recover


4) Docs have a cure disease ability.... even an area cure disease I believe (at that, infect could possibly carry from person to person, but to not make it too overpowering the effect of disease is halved everything it carries.... so diseased 1 gets 20% reduction, disease 2 gets 10%, disease 3 get 5%)


Im sure this idea has probably been presented before but its just my little two cents!

I think our debuffs are mostly defense as they lower the combat effectiveness of the enemy. Our paralyze and E. drain would be our only "crowd control" skills.

Why couldn't you just say "I feel that we have adequate healing at master, etc..... therefore, I disagree", rather than what you did you "facker"?

Why do you want an improved bacta shot? Get doctor for that, you have enough offense abilities to hold yourself to, and IMO 1200+ bacta shot is good enough along with toss and spray. Seems this community is getting pretty spoiled, I get by just fine with 1200+ instant stims and 800+ heals from 0020 medic.

I had an idea for infect that also adds a nice replacement for the DoTs and Debuffs AoEthat we no longer have. Keep the name the same, Infect, but have its effect changed to actively "spread" any Dots/Debuffs that are applied to the target to those arounds them.


The chance to infect would bea percentage based on the CM's Chem War Effciency level. However, even if theInfect triggers on a target that target still has the ability to resist which would be improved by Doc buffs.


The radius or "hot zone" would be based on the level of the Infect (these are just round ideas).


Infect: 10m radius "hotzone"

Improved Infect: 15m radius "hot zone"

Advanced Infect: 20m radius "hot zone"


Chance to spread infections to those around the target would be calculatedevery tick.


Infect would only spread conditions applied after the Infect sets in and only applies to debuffs/DoTs for the CM who applies the Infect.


Infect would not spread paralysis.
