My point was Docs can get 1 line of CM prereqs for 14 skill points, yet the second line of CM prereqs will cost them 29 skill points.
CMs can get both Doc prereq lines for 14 skill points each, although one of those lines is of no use to CM.
You say you cant get Doc abilities without dabbling in Doc, I say Docs cannot get any of the CM weapon abilities without dabbling in Marksman. I am not talking about spray and toss, I am talking about the Marksman xxx4 line.
Maybe that is true in a sense but the basic forms of bacta jab and infusion are in the doc trees.... while you are getting the improved and advance versions of medic abilities in our trees..... those can't quite compare the way you are talking! For that matter a MCM would have to get MDoc to get advance bacta jab while a MDoc only needs marksman xxx4, medic x4xx and CM 4xxx for advance versions of our heals.... either way it works out better for the Doctor, again your logic is somewhat flawed!
I dont think improved Bacta Shot is necessary. The basic version of Bacta Shot, as it appears on TC is around 20% less healing than the Master Doc version, for the same healing efficiency. That seems pretty fair to me.
I would agree with removing root though.Rooting was not originally in-game but put in later to deal with super-long CM poison & diseases and hit and run techniques. The reasons for rooting are no longer in game.

Rooting????? When did we get on that topic? And hit and run tactics still exist!
Current count:
8 - For Improved Bacta Shot at MCM
2 - Against Improved Bacta Shot at MCM
1 - Wants drag and a more useful Infect ability at MCM
2 - correct the toss animation so we dont have to stop moving
1 - Move bacta toss to Novice CM and move adv bacta toss to MCM

Sorry, for the confusion.
What I was calling rooting is the pause in the toss animation.CM originallydid nothave a pause, that was deliberately put in well over a year ago as some sort of counterbalance for out of whack throwing distances (over 90m). There was no rooting in game, so thats what people called it. Of course when they fixed the distance issue, they didnt remove the animation pause.

So while we're stealing Doc abilities, can we give the Docs a defense against Paralysis, since there isn'ta 1:1 ratio between CM skills & Doc Defenses?

b) Bacta Shot is an iconic Doc ability (only in Doc and the Medic prereqs for Doc) - should not be in CM
c) ask for an Advanced Bacta Throw or an Advanced Bacta Spray maybe?
I tend to agree with this. Personally I'd rather see infect made more useful.
The self-root has been around since launch (It was NOT added later) and it was at one time one of our top issues. However the Devs haven't deattched the animation from the ability as of yet, though I could bring it up if it is desired.

I agree, but some more newb MCM/MDoc comments from myself:
The Bacta Shot & Jab should remain as Doctor / Medic Abilities. Healing should remain much more effective for a Master Doctor, since Healing is their main purpose, while a Combat Medic has offensive abilities to affect the target (in addition to Bacta Tosses and Sprays).
Bacta Shot & Jab w/ M.Doctors should be more potent by far. They are close ranged, single target heals. Bacta Toss on the other hand can be thrown a good distance and Bacta Spray affects a very good area. Bacta Spray alone has the potential to heal more than Bacta Shot or Jab ever could hope for considering the damage a group can be taking. This is while the Master Doctor can only heal one person at a time.
