I've never tossed a poison on a AT-ST, but I do know that everytime I toss one at a creature they aggro me.

I don't have any idea what some of you saying.

Also...to address a comment above...Saying that we are combat MEDICS...You got it wrong...We are COMBAT medics.

Well, I to have been aggroed by any and all NPC's other than the At-St's. I can walk right up to an At-St (while covert and no TEF obviously) and drop a "mind-bomb" on it and it will not aggro me. However all other NPC's do...I can't explain it.

Is it a bug? Yes. Is it still fun to do it? Yes. I really don't get anything out of it, other than some cool screenshots, but it's still neat when people watch the At-St blow up.

Just a few other points:

1) not everyone in the movies in an At-St had re-breathers.

2) If everyone "knows" when they're posioned/diseased why was there such a big anthrax scandal 2 years ago? How do people die from poison deaths, and it is only discovered they were poisoned through an autopsy?

3) If you think it is so unrealistic to have a "super-poison", then why isn't it unrealistic to have 2 rancors on one planet? Jabba was thought to have the only one tamed, and we didn't see that one till "Jedi".

Well Doogie once again I have to come here and educate you on star wars

*rings the bell*

Welcome to star wars 101

Class, Doogie here (god that was a stupid show) Thinks that ATSTs should not be poisoned or diseased. They are a mechanical creature and supposedly They have rebreathers. Pulls out the displays to show the difference between an ATST Pilot and an ATAT Pilot

http://www.cloudcity.com/Empire_Strikes_Back_Loose_Figure_AT-AT_Driver_(red_insignia)_C8.html

This is a picture of an ATAT Pilot's figure. Something which is based on the movies. Notice the Rebreather. They have one.

And now for the second Picture. The famous Atst pilot as seen in Return of the Jedi

http://www.cloudcity.com/Return_of_the_Jedi_Loose_Figure_AT-ST_Driver_C9+_or_better.html

Notice that you can see the open face helmet. Now i bet your thinking that your that they have a magical shield protecting their open ports as seen in the atst in the game.

So yes ATST are mechanical. But they have human pilots. Hence a target for poisons and disease to get through those open flaps to affect their target.

Btw Check your information next time before posting.

Thanks

Class has been dismissed

Yes but the pilots in an At St are behind a foot of steel in a cockpit seperated from the world and breathing air that is recylced to prevent poisons from affecting them.

Hang on...

In Return of the Jedi, the walkers had two open slots in the front that fliped open so that the pilot can steer. No glass. No armor. And no evidence of a sealed ecosystem, as Chewie and those two ewoks opened the cockpit hatch with no trouble from a vacuum seal. (oh, and the commaner of the at-st only had the scullcap helmet, anf stormtrooper armor have tons of leaks. You can see neck skin!). Poisons would effect them.

The At-ST's just seem to be walking gun platforms without sealed air. They're probably quite drafty...

Now AT-AT's have viewscreens and few open ports. I can see an arguement for that!

oh...and is it my imagination, or did chewie give a tarzan yodel when he and the ewoks swing over to the AT-ST? Good lord, i hope so...

So they will whine and moan for a while.

If they take away the ability to heal AT-STs with conventional medson the same day they take away the ability to poison and disease them...I won't say a word. But somehow I know that won't happen.

As long as an AT-ST can be healed by afriggin stimpack, they should be vunerable to everything a normal NPC is. The way things are now I think we should still be able to bleed them. I also think it's pretty absurd that you can have an AT-ST on a leash following you around and that you should have to pilot them yourself...but that's a whole other can of worms.

Oh good... ya got me... I have no idea what I'm talking about... for sure.

I do recall mentioning something you totally over looked though in my last post. I said, and I quote,

"I'm talking about in game mechanics and in game scenarios. The pilots helmet has a breather on it. Its in game thats why I mentioned it."

Scroll go back and scroll up, I'm sure you know how. We are all quite aware that the movie displays nothing about the AT-ST pilots helmet. I'm using the one SOE "NAMED" as the AT-ST helmet. Because we all know they are the authority on Star Wars...second only to you.

I'll I said to start out with is that they should be treated as machines, not organic creatures. I also hold the view point that they should not be able to be healed with normal medic/doctor/combat medic meds. There's to sides to the issue that I'm supporting here. I am NOT for making AT-ST invincible...only realistic. Why don't you try and be more constructive in your posts.

Thats all I care about on this thread...feel free to flame me all you want because I won't be reading it. (oooh theres one for you...call me illiterate, that will sure burn me). You undoubtably will be posting some witty remark to this and will recieve several hoops and hollars from other readers so I'll let you have the last punch. You need some kind of gratisfaction in your life and I understand that. And since you are so good about giving lessons teacher (I've learned so much), here is one that I'd like to demonstrate for you and your inconsiderate type of posters. Its a lesson I follow everyday.

This is my favorite SWG sight of all time...you guys could learn alot here...

Doogie.

Welcome to Star Wars Please watch the movies before posting. Thanks

Btw If you want to know which movie to see pilots in ATSTs My suggestion is watch Return of the Jedi

Thank you for thoughtless input.

Please come back and post again.

Oh I've seen the movies, I even own them. I'm and I know just what part of RotJ your talking about....But perhaps you missed the conversation we we're having. We are talking about the game and what the game gives us. If you want to mix in the movies please by all means do so. See if you can fast forward to the part where Krayt dragons are under attack by AT-ST's, or there is commandos flaming down people in starports as they get off the shuttle, or where you see Rebels crying nerf everytime you walk into anchorhead. I'm talking about in game mechanics and in game sanerios. The pilots helment has a breather on it. Its in game thats why I mentioned it. If you'd like to discuss more on the subject that people were talking about...please...join this thread with the rest of us. We could use a few more "thoughtless inputs".

Someone is a little defensive...

Remember, you are posting AT-ST posts on the Combat Medic forum. I don't know what you expected to happen. And i think i happen to write very constructive posts, and not "inconsiderate" at all. Do a search if you must. I'll wait...

I remember a AT-AT helmet in the game, but nothing is said of any "rebreather". If you wanted to talk about the game and forget the movies (what? Isn't the game supposed to be the same feel as the movies?), It's also "unrealistic" that you can pull 1 to 3 At-St's out of your pocket at a moments notice (for that matter, pets and droids too. And placing a house deed from your backpack to make a instant house?).

What i would have LIKED to have heard from you is more constructive answers and insight into what can be a better compromise. Let the anger go, and perhaps we can have a better thread here. With BOTH sides of the issue presented with respect.

And, you could have at least checked out if Chewie did in fact yodel the tarzan yell...

WasI "inconsiderate"? Now i have to second guess myself..

*pauses for a few seconds*

SEE YA! Thank you visiting the forums and please come back again.

btw the next time you post. It's English Class. You should learn how to proofread your posts. Now off with ya. Go shoot some unarmed civilians or something.

Andto your little web address. This is a forum. if you cant stand getting flamed or getting schooled by us regulars. Then dont come here. Your not a combat medic. Your just an outsider who wants to limit my class. Your one of thoseidiots running around withflaming sticks yelling "Nerf" So go and whine somewhere else.

So see ya Doogie. Get yourself a better name.
