Once again Brian you bring yourself back to this place.

Shoo Off with ya. Go Burn a city or blow up a planet or whine about how unfair it is that commandos and combat medics and bounty hunters can kill an ATST.

You want contructive critism. Ok here ya go.

1) The ATST is not a Mechanical creature. Its a tank. Plain and simple. It has pilots that have an open view point that allows air to get inside. They do wear rebreathers and have 0 defense to air attacks.

2) The ATST is vastly overpowered now since you can not do bleed on it. Also you can earn 3 of them and farm some of the strongest creatures in the game. Which greatly unbalances the game.

But the good news is. A nerf is coming for ATSTs. So enjoy it while you last and even after the nerf. Combat Medics and commandos can still drop them.

So what if Doogie is a Combat medic and a Master one at that. Who cares? He obviously wants to limit the class he shares with other people. Just to save his precious ATST. When he will never fight one, but will own one. So he is just trying to keep his character stronger than a rebel or neutral combat medic. Which is not cool at all.

Combat Medics are a Combative Support Class. Number 3 in the rankings on how expensive it is to play one. We should be able to drop tough monsters with out skills and a lot quicker than we can right now. But the PVE Aspect of the combat medic absolutly consists of one thing. Patience. Just sit there and wait. While Bounty Hunters and Commandos can drop a tough mob in 2 minutes maybe 3. It takes us an hour if we use poison.

So Toyota I await your response. Since youknow so much about combat medics being a Creature Handler and a Commando. Tell us what you think should be changed to combat medics. You are such an expert on the subject. Or are you just one of those little bitty cretins that just cry "Nerf" So please Enlighten us with your words of wisdom.

Oh i think it is time to come to starsider btw and bring a few friends.

At St's are not overpowered anymome. Commandos can kill them withheavy weapons easy which is what their designed to do. Patch is changing the role of heavy weapons to only be accurate to large targets like at sts.

CM are designed for biological war on groups its not their role to take out AT ST's.

If the pilots are wearing rebreathers which recylces their air how would airborne toxins affect em?

Me and doogie don't even have an At St and probably never will. Besides new patch is going to make them PvP only. Which means less rebels whining about people using them.

Actually ATST are still over powered. There is no anymome or anymore about it. And yes commandos can drop them easily. Which is the way it is supposed to be much to your Faction's displeasure.

CM are designed for biological war on groups its not their role to take out AT ST's.

I will toss this one on the fact that you know absolutly nothing about this profession. There are two types of poisons, diseases and Stims.

AOE and personal

So a combat medic can and will single a person out. They are not just for groups. They can be a scapel and not just a sword. Just ask any doctor that comes with the imperials raiding achorhead or moenia or where ever on who is the first to die. Most likely he is.

Ok here we are back to the rebreather theory. Let me put this in plain and simple english.

ATAT Pilots wore the Rebreather. ATST Pilots have an open face helmet. Enough said on that one. If you need a picture. Read up on my posts where i posted links to pictures from the action figures. They were based on the movies. The game is based on the movies. The original dice based RPG listed as the ATST needing 2 pilots. Can we finally get that nail into the coffin and close the lid on the rebreather argument.

Thank God they are making it PVP only Then we will never see or hear from them again. No more imperials farming the planets for great xp while the Rebels are stuck with their stupid troopers. Which will probably make a lot of people quit because the game is now to tough for them.

I just noticed something. I sent one of you running away. Doogie in particular and now you come back. Let me guess you going to get more of your friends to join in your campaign to nerf the Combat Medics.

Good luck with it. I shall be here lurking around and if your really nice i will pop in from time to time.

Once again casper shows he cares more for flaming then for reading the posts by people.

Doogie wrote:

anyway I can say that I AM A COMBAT MEDIC.....master one at that. I does seem absured that one can poison a machine. If you say different then you should ask the devs to let us poison FP lairs as well. They are mechanical. If anything we should be able to poison a warren or a dead log...those are orgainic arn't the?..why stop there...I'll drop a poison on your harvester and eat up all the maintance that you just put in it.

He's a master doctor/combat medic that I know well. Maybe if you actually read the posts that we made rather then just say the same flames everytime we could have this little thing called constructive criticism.....

Lol i never run to guildmates for help and i've never complained that AT ST's are killable. I think its good that they can be taken out now. Makes their use much more intresting.

There is 1 thing you keep overlooking casper. THERE IS AN AT ST HELEMT IN GAME AS QUEST REWARD!

How hard is it to grasp that concept? This game is Based on the starwars universe and as such they have a creative liscence to make changes. The in-game at st helmet has a rebreather on it and that is the final authority.

Not the star wars books or what your buddies say.

oh Great You again *sighs*

First i took your buddy to star wars 101 and now i am going to continue the lesson for you.

I deceided to go to stars wars.com A wonderful site and using my Hyperspace ID. I got to search through the collecting stuff. And picked up a few links for you to view.

I have gone through every RPG book Made by either wizards of the coast or the other one. Cant recall the name right now. I looked in the Imperial Source Book, The Thrawn Campaign Source Book. The Death Star Source Book, The actual Starting book for 1st, 2nd and now 3rd edition of star wars the RPG. They are giving me the same answer that StarWars.com gave me. All of them list the same information in one form or the other.

SWGalaxies is now a little over 3 months old and you say that 20 years of books, stories, RPGs can all be tossed out because one person on the Development Team Hit the letter S instead of the Letter A? Thus creating your fabled ATST helmet.

I think not. What your seeing is a typo. Nothing more and nothing less. Its great that you keep coming back here and trying to get a nerf on the combat medics time and time again. When you base all your hopes and dreams on is one little helmet. Surely you have something better tobuild onother thanjust thathelmet.

But lets get to the facts at hand from the people that originally created star wars and set up the action figures line to be authentically based on the triology. The same for the RPG.

*rings the bell*

Brian welcome to Star Wars 101 the refresher course.

This link here is to the lucasarts data base for the ATAT driver Notice the helmet. Btw did you notice his commander not wearing a face mask also.It even has a precious description and if you cant recall the Commander of the ATAT. I have included a picture for him also. Or actually the figure.

http://www.starwars.com/databank/organization/atatdriver/index.html

http://cargobay.starwars.com/webapps/cargobay/item-detail/2242/486

And here is a picture of the ATAT Driver.

http://cargobay.starwars.com/webapps/cargobay/item-detail/1606/5

It also mentioned in the RPG that the ATAT driver had to go through a lot more training to use the ATAT. If you wanted to know. The RPG says the same information.

Now to the other part. The ATST driver based on the original ones seen in ROTJ Endor Scene. We never saw into the ATST in ESTB, just saw it passing buy.

http://cargobay.starwars.com/webapps/cargobay/item-detail/1607/6
http://cargobay.starwars.com/webapps/cargobay/item-detail/2244/489

There are two pictures there. The one on top is the rerelease of the ATST pilot and the one underneath is the original figure from the 80s which i still have.

So does that make it simple enough to understand or will you constantly chant "NERF CMs They should not be able to poison or disease ATSTs"

And btw I know there is an ATAT Helmet in the game I have it sitting on top of some armor. But i keep it around just cause it looks cool. I dont go around chanting nerf because of a quest reward you get from a guy called Bren in Mos Taike.

They may have a creative license but so do all these other companies. Hasbro, Kenner, and Wizard's of the Coast. Since they produce the figures and the RPG. Which has been going on a lot longer than SWG. Not to mention StarWars.com lists that as being and ATAT helmet.

So what your ranting over is nothing more than a typo. Now off with ya. Come back with something better than a stupid helmet.

Class Dismissed

Oh one last think. Proofread your posts and never use all caps. It not only makes you look like an idiot but it is not considered polite.

And by the way the final authority ends with lucasarts. Not SOE who produces the game with Lucasarts. Why dont you email them and inform them of the typo and see if you can get it fixed. You obviously need something to do in your life. Because you keep coming back to the Combat Medic Forums and your not even a combat medic.

I guess the CH and Commando forums are to boring for you.Ah well one of these days they might spark your interest.

Also to any readers from StarSider who are combat medics. Please disease this noob and his pets. Just so he can have something else to scream about.

See ya later Toyota

Casper and once again you miss the obvious, Go read the description of this game. The first Star Wars MMORPG BASED on the star wars universe. It does not say the first Star Wars MMORPG that follows every technical detail of the star wars universe. This is written on the homepage of this site.

They negotiated with Lucas Arts for the right to use the Star Wars liscense and setting. In that negotiation they have the right to make small changes to anything they want as long as it is okayed by Lucas Arts.

When a movie is based on a book or premise they are under no obligations to consult the techincal journals when they make their movie as long as the finised product is true to the books perspective.

When they bought that liscense they were allowed to make changes and additions to the game such as the creation of new creatures and to modify existing creatures to suit the game better.

For instance in the movie and books krayt dragons are incredibly rare. In the game they are rather easy to find. Maybe the helmet was intended to be an AT AT helmet but until they say so or change its description its an AT ST helmet.

You want to pull up all your old star wars manuals and technical journals thats fine. I'll listen to the guys who made the games over books that were written 10 yearsanyday.

I'd just like to point out that i am all for combat medics getting tefs when they use poisons just as soon as we get faction points for all the damage we did with the poisons as well. I and a commando friend attacked a base full of imps including an at-st. and after all was said and done i got like 10 faction points to show for all the damage i did with my pistol, and 0 for all the damage i did with poison. my friend on the other hand got a huge load of faction from the same exact encounter. They need to change poisons to be viewed as a weapon attack instead of as a med use. Same thing goes for poisoning mobs, i get the same med xp if i poison durni's as i do for poisoning a gorax **edit**?

I'll agree with you on that death. They need to change that because I know it is extremely hard to get faction points as a CM.
