FotM whore CM/Doc and damn proud. As much as I am willing to deal with template whoring and such, the whole Havla CM thing is too much. With poison stacking, Havla, and Mind Healing, battles are completely won by CM, and all other templates are there simply to incap the 1 minded people before they get mind healed. It really isnt fun. Stacking, Havla, and range all need to be fixed fast for the good of the game. Maybe not a 75% reduction but something really does need to be done, and sooner then the soon to be delayed again combat rebalance.

Posions should not be better than guns, not in this game....aka...Starwars Galaxies....since when was posioning starwarsy...if you want a sci-fi thingy with alot of posions....I suggest you wait for Dune Online =] .... if such a thing will ever exist...

Why shouldnt they be? Poisens are a very deadly, in any existence. I think at most, nerf havla, the range, and Time between throwing.

You honestly think combat MEDICs should be the most powerful profession in the game??? A SUPPORT profession, fine 50% support if you must say 50% combat, should dominate everyone and everything? Maybe they should be anti-melee stacker, but not anti-everyone. BHs who spend an absurd amount of skill points and get nothing else to go with it should be defeated everytime by a CM who spends much less SP and also has the neat side effect of ranged and area stims and the ablity to also pick up rifleman which alone can decimate anyone else.

Well I stand corrected with that, all im saying is when the combat rebalance comes, it will be fine with what CM's have. Until then though, I am unsure if PvP will last.

I got one question here. At one time a few months ago didn't CMs get this? and they took it of if they did right? and what was the reason?

To propose that the CMs should have gotten a 75% PvP reduction when everybody else did is implicitly assuming that the classes were balanced before, which they might not have been. Furthermore, there may have been system limitations which prevented (and still prevents) implementation of a damage reduction of poisons and diseases.

The devs have not given an official reason for this (although they have been quoted as saying that poisons and diseases are working properly and they are happy with them), so any speculation on our part about why they didn't get nerfed is just that, speculation.

CM's never received a 75% damage reduction and I am a believer that the single target poison doesnt need it. Its the AOE where problems lay and the fact that 99% of the time its the mind pool thats targeted. Revamp should fix these issues, like Vort said, just wait and see

No, they did not.

You will have to re-ask these with a little more detail...I do not understand.

The devs stated time and time again there will never be a 75% reduction for two reasons.

- The damage from our poisons and diseases are on a healing platform, think of it as negative heals. Giving us a 75% reduction would nuke our healing ability as well.

- Even if poisons and diseases were not on a healing platfom a 75% reduction would lower our dps to almost nothing, 12.5 dps for a top of the line non venom 250 effective aoe poison (my non certified pistol does more) . Not only would this kill any viable pvp abilities but pve for use would be non existant.

Its been said many times, be patient and wait for the combat revamp. Heres some things for all you complainers to look forward to : )

-smugglers are getting mind poison mittigation spice

-mind will be more easily healable

-no more 90% res armor or 3k buffs so every class can finaly pvp

-no longer will cm/rifelman rule pvp, it will be jedi

First off LOL about jedi being top pvp'ers ever. That statement is pure fiction and ignorance. I nearly fell out of my chair... good one.

2nd and more importantly. Oh good so I hope all you combat medics like fighting each other for the NEXT 3 MONTHS.I have officially droped out of the pvp arena because of your overwhelming power. I played CH from the get go and my profession was nerfed, what 3 or 4 times, I forget. I rolled with the changes and bit my tongue not to lash out and get pissed off.

Point blank. combat medic is WAY over powered! It was never intended to be the BE-ALL of PVP. It just that. Fill in your template with rifleman and you are now unstopable. So congrats all you people who are combat medic, you are saved from what nailed creature handlers so badly. I think its fair that all the PVP will be one profession only, don't you? I can't wait to see the reduction of combat medics after publish 11. I will laugh and laugh.

The devs stated in no uncertain terms at the time just after the Bleeds nerf (which was after the 75% PvP reduction) that they were happy with the damage output of medical DoTs (meaning poisons and diseases used by CMs).

Did they? I thought the "we are happy with combat medic damage output" statement was dated earlier than that. Well, that answers that.

Actually, do you remember the date of that statement? I know it is several months old, but I'd still like to get a general feeling for how out of date it may be.

I really think we should just quote that post and ask point blank if it is still truewith a 19 answers question. Then again, there are many more interesting questions to ask too (and non-answers to receive)...

Edit: Oh, and if you happen to have the original post handy (a link for example), that would be wonderful to see.
