Combat medics have decent offensive ability but could use a little more help on the "nice" side. Ideally it should be some type of quick benefit that only lasts a minute or two durning combat. CM's will be getting an additional ability or two in the future along this mentality

why am I not surprised. Id rather have planetary restrictive resources that always spawn like docs than this crap. seriously, how hypocritical is that statement? if i'm a doc at least i can GET my materials for comps. if you're a CM you have to PRAY it spawned in the first place, then find it on one of 10 planets, and then go survey for it with skillpoints you dont have. /ugh

HoTron, I did make statements to each of the replies we recieved before I was given permission to post them here. In my statement with this issue I pointed out just how rare some of theese resources are and that some servers are only now getting them. I alsosuggested that some of the problem may have been with just how unreliable the resource shifts were when the game was launched and more time may be needed to get a balanced evaluation. So I don't see this issue as totaly dead yet, perhaps we should track how often the advanced component resources are spawning over a couple month's time for several of the servers.

Thanks Kavedawg. Good to see these changes coming. Now....can we push for CM effectiveness in PvE? I don't PvP so I would like to see CM become as effective in PvE as I hear it is in PvP. I'd like to see the Combat put into Combat Medic for PvE. Right now all I use my skill for is AoE and Ranged heals.

Oops, I forgot the second part of my post which was: thanks for the reply, dev(s)!

Crimus: My problem in PvP was that the people we were fighting were getting incapped and killed before my poisons had a chance to tick. That was when we were winning. When we were losing they had a doctor who removed the poisons before they had a chance to tick and I was insta-killed each time by a flamethrower. I guess it's OK either way but I stopped using them because it was a waste of resources.

In PvE I might use a poison on a really tough creature but usually the group that I'm with rolls through them before poisonshave a chance to tick. We should probably go to dath/endor more often than dantooine. Lastly, diseases are just plainWORTHLESS in PvE.

For poisons, I *am* using Cs, but perhaps I should use singles more than AOEs.

RESPONSE PLEASE FROM KAVEDAWG OR DEV.

I've asked the question 4 times on 3 different threads now, every time I asked, there were others needing to know the same thing. And now with this change in the schematics going live on TC, it's even more important and time sensitive to get this answered now!

Will the 2000 of each componenet I'm going to have to start crafting today to not waste 100's of thousands of resources with amazing PE still maintain the same stats after the patch goes live for all the other servers??? if not, I'd rather not manufacture the componenets and sell the resources. Please a little help here.

I thought I answered your question with the Q and A on upcomming changes thread sorry if I didn't, I plan on making components on TC and posting the results of the components and poisons made with them when TC stays up long enough. TC has been unstable because they bypassed most internal testing to give the big patch more time on TC so we dont have a repeat of the last big patch. This also means that there will be a LONGER PERIOD before the patch will be pushed to live. I am doing the best I can to get the information to you as quick as possible. Be forwarned, I will not respond nicely to another post like this, If I respond at all.

Woah Crimus, all I have to say will be summarized in to one word.

Don't have a cow and start to post something stupid like you did before. That only shows your immaturity. Not bashing you or flaming you, just some brotherly advice.

Everything you craft before the patch will be the same after the patch. This is the way it has always been to my knowledge.

4) Resources needed for the CM advanced components are too rare and costly to obtain.

Advanced components should be hard to get and not everyone should be willing to search for the resources needed to craft the advanced components. No changes will be made at this time to a resource type and quantity required for the components.

I did notice in this question AND response that there is no mention to WHY Doctors don't have the same rarity and cost to obtain resources for similar remedies? I mean ok fine, I can see they want it to be limited but then while we are waiting and waiting for stuff to make diseases and poisons why do the Doctors get to stock pile cures? It will get to a point that it won't be worth it. Give it about 2 months and you will see what I mean.

Ok, I agree 100% with the fact that these things should be hard to find. That's what makes it worth it to find them. At the moment I have every single resource you need for every advanced component you could make except for Radioactive Class 1. (which doesn't matter atm, since we cannot make Advanced Resilience Compound still) Most of it I have stockpiled. (not as much as I'd like, but still some) That way when I can make great components I can sell them for a killing to make up for all the hard work I put into finding and mining everything.

Youhave to expect to travel far and wide to find the resources. You can't just sit on Tatooine or Naboo and expect all the resources to show up. Sometimes you see something like Dolovite Iron show up on Rori and maybe nowhere else. In fact one of the loading screens even says that Rori has a low population but is high in resources.

Also, I think when they say that some components that were dependant on Potential Energy will be dependant on Decay Resistance they mean the schematics thatuse only resources that don't have potential energy at all. I don't believe they are changing the schematics that use resources thathave potential energy because there would be no reason. I could be wrong. An example off the top of my head would be something dependant on tolium recative gas and yavin fiberplast (not a specific example) since neither of those components can possibly have potential energy those kind would be the ones where the replacement will take place.

In my opinion #4 should not even be an issue. It should be repalced with a much more pressing issue that is we cannot craft one of the major advanced components necessary for poisons and diseases (Advanced Resilience Compound). We are missing one ofthe tools of our trade. That is major. Resources working the way they are intended is not only NOT a major issue, it's not an issue at all.

Not being able to craft something we need is much more pressing than the fact that people can't understand that the life of a combat medic is not an easy one. It's supposed to be challenging to find these things. The people that complained about that are probably the same ones who complain about an inter-planetary shuttle only coming by every 10 minutes! Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds?
