That said, I like vortexala's train of thought on this. What he is suggesting is that youmay be able to use your skills without the use of bio-engineers. I for one wanted to be the one everyone hated, you know... that lil bastage everyone hates. I started out good till I picked up Doc also. The guy mixing his poisons and diseases ... the biowarfare aspect i guess. To have people target me as soon as they found out who was throwing the bombs. I wasnt doin to bad staying under the radar, but the meds became my main role. Now just geting back into my original role I have a few questions like everyone else.

The 2 lines I see....

Healing/Doctor/CM Changes

* Medical crafting will be handled by the crafting line in Medic as well as Bio-Engineers.

* The use of the different stims will be determined by the player’s combat level. (i.e., novice players will be able to use the lower level stims while the elite players will be able to use the higher level stims)

Ranged stims are great and I use more of them over normal stims (I only carry Ranged and area) I throw them more then poisons and diseases.

Not 1 word about Poisons and diseases. (I guess that is the heart of my post) It was all about level to use stims, stims used by all and enhancers. Only thing I can see is crafting done by medic and/or BE. Are we keeping the P&Ds. If we do I hope the mind is still targetable for cemical warfare. Slowing down the action timer or mind regen or whatever.

Now as for the Only "health bar", the way I read it was that yes only one bar (just like WoW) but a riflemans mindshot or carbs action all still work and all damage/wounds are calculated on one bar. Thats just the way I read it.

As most people know as a MCM/MD my only ofencive weapon is the P&D I make and having a blast at it. I never wanted an "I win" button but loved to make those that cant have one cry. If in a duel and they insisted I dont use my P&D, then I'd say fine, Mr Stacker ... you MUST use a pistol if thats all I can use" LOL

I'm sure I forgot alot of what I wanted to say and babbled in other places... I think tons faster then I can type LOL so I hope this can be understood

Most of the cm shems will go away, since no attacking secondaries i figure. All the buff schems are gone, as are most of the stims. Won't be too bad.


I'm not dropping cm, not even an option, just going to be a challenge to learn how to work it into the new system. I agree that I will probably be dropping some doc, so that will help with the sp's.

I am 12 point doc/12 point CM.. any word on weather or not these skill tapes will be able to be used? or did I throw away 40 million credits?

I remember being a Bio Engineer... Reason I dropped it was I had too many people asking for too much stuff and none of it the same... Would have orders for pets, then for food additives, then for clothing additives.... the list never ends...... It makes some sense to me that BE would do crafting but dang.... I think enough is enough. Kinda wish I kept BE now...

Nothing's confirmed, but there is a possibility that Doc and CM experimentation tapes will be converted to BE experimentation tapes. That's just speculation but if it does happen, one of your sets will need to be sold.

This is pure speculation, but it seems more likely to me that the medical experimentation will remain separate from BE experimentation. 5 points of medical experimentation could be in medic and 5 points in BE (just like the current medic/doctor split). Med experimentation would be used for all meds. BE experimentation would remain completely separate and be used for all current BE schematics.


If they keep these separate, they could leave medical experimentation tapes alone and convert CM tapes to medical tapes. BE experimentation would not have any tapes. BEs don't want tapes in their profession. Doctors and CMs don't want to lose their tapes. And nobody wants docs to immediately take over the BE business (like chef tissues) or BEs to immediately take over medical business, so this systems seems the most fair overall.


But your guess is probably as good as mine.
