Hope they plan on finding some way for Combat Medics to bring in some cash to pay for these medications that we won't be able to make anymore. Being a Combat medic in a guild is very financially challenging as it is. This just makes it sound worse.
Or my Alt will have to drop DE and pick up BE to replace it.

With the removal of crafting and a push for us to go combat, you can always make money running missions. The best way to "pay" for this stuff is to hopefully be in a guild or town that truly helps each other. You provide the resources and materials, and all the be does it put it together. You should easily work out some sort of deal. There has always been to much emphasis on getting rich in this game anyway, having the most money doesn't make you the winner. Now we actually have a score system and we love it. The pvp rating thing is too easy to bork, so it doesn't count. I am so loving the changes that I am willing to bite the bullet on a few things. Heck to be honest I was afraid our prof was going to get totally crushed in the CU, so I can accept this.
I wish it would hurry up and get here......

Actaully th CM proffession, (from just looking at the docs) is going to come out pretty well, changes are being made, and the skill trees are shifting around somewhat (like just about all proffessions), but it looks like they will "work".

are the BE's going to infact do ALL of the medical crafting..which includes our area stims, and possibly our posisons?
Simple answer, yes. BE's will be doing the all the medical crafting.
Well then I know the day that Famine will die. The day the CU comes out.

As the CM correspondent I believe it is your duty to fight this with all of your non-existent power!!!
So in a few months there will be BE, Armorsmith, Weaponsmith, Droid engineer, and artisan professions doing all of the crafting???? Or will they be moving all the armor, weapon, and droid crafting to artisan and making those smiths worthless as well????
This is just Stupid!! What a homogenized load of manure.
I dare you to go into game right now and inside two hours find the BE item you are looking for if you aren't a BE. There aren't many of them left. I quit BE after the 20th Chef cussed me out for not making 40 crates of additives a day. Of course that will change with CU cause Chefs will be useless.

You won't need a BE to make the meds. The BE's make 'enhancers' that simply enhance your natural ability. They won't be required, they'll be optional.
As for sending Psi off to fight the battle... you all who are against it should go fight the battle in Blairs thread.

So it's basically like Food Tissues which BE's make for Chefs?
(If this is true, I am satisfied).

You have to be Medic to become a Doc or CM.
Since there only will be one bar, Health, when attacking, what will happen to for exampel, Mind Poisons? And since im a Rifleman, what will happen to HeadShot?

Psi is doin a great job! And for the record, I have faith we will come out of the CU in good shape. While they can't actually "say" anything, I get the feeling we will be ok. Sure there will be stuff we don't like, always is, but if it is something we can work around I'm happy
All I want are some defenses, thats all...hehe

With the CUthere will be the loss of crafting(just like doc), and a few other losses as well. But, there will also be some gains in there to help balance things out.
So, overall, CM should be ok.
Doesn't necessarily mean i'll still be one though...

I'm def not getting rid of my CM - Can't wait to see what this "gun-cert" is that we will get...right now as a doc/CM I can hardly hit the side of a barn
the only reason I take a rifle with me into the DWB is so the tanks can have any easier time seeing what has me agroed LoL
Depending on what happens with the Doc class though I might drop that for rifles or something else...just have to wait and see
Its awsome that they are finaly going to put some real "combat" into combat medic...its just disapointing that the crafting is going away...
I don't make anything and sell it as a paramedic in RL ( i get paid..which you don't really in SWG except for what you can sell) but I do know how to "make" bandages and splints along with a host of other 'skills' and thats what I compare to the 'crafting' in the game and why I hate to see it go /sigh
