I disagree Greeblesnort....Docs have REZ...far more useful in combat than any area/ranged stim. Their ability to cure states/poison/disease, oh AND BUFF make them the healers of choice in any groupI've ever been in. CM is second choice for group healer in my experience.

Here's my vote on the poison problem.

A. Scale back the dmg done in PvP in a similar (or even same manner as other dmg's).

B. Target should remain incap'd for the duration of the poison.

C.Combat Medics need to remember that we are required to have ranged support 4 for a reason. We are expected to carry a weapon. We are a support class. Poison is not suppose to be a main weapon but a complement to what others are doing.

Basically A and B are my proposed solutions. C is an attempt to stop the Wambulance from showing up after we get nerfed. Because we need a PvP nerf, same as the commando's do.

My preference for the survey thing...Allow Medical Forage ability to dig up in packs of 8 units. This is what is needed for stim A's. If we could pull up 8 unit chunks of fungus, Amorphous Gems, Wood, etc, we could actually MAKE something with them. Medical Forage should also be expanded at Novice Doctor and Novice CM to include the other materials we need (petrochem, gas, aluminum, etc) If you find a high quality forage of, say, fungus on talus, then go find a surveyor to get you a WP and a Harvester. It may take you a while to find two or three forage's of Lokian Wild Wheat...but it would be possible to do in an hour.

Nobody wants to step on the Artisan's toes...But SOE did a great job of making the scout "harvest" ability USEFUL to the novice scout. Everything she needs, from traps to camps, is made of bone, meat, and hide. And yet, novice Medic is not able to make ANYTHING, without the help of an Artisan. I myself, not being very bright, did not make my first stim A until I foraged for 1 month to get the materials...And I still had to beg 7 units of inorganic. It is simply not feasible to do this. And when we are already spending this many skill points for Combat Medic, we should be able to make at least some of our meds without going outside of our class. It shouldn't be as easy as if we had novice artisan as well, but it should be possible.

Now, the Bounty Hunters will say they should be allowed to heal, as well...However, the Bounty Hunter's do not have a medical crafting tree in their profession. We do. We cannot complete that tree without resources, and we cannot get those resources ourselves.

I think this is a reasonable solution. Best of all, it requires very little coding...Medical Forage is already in the game, whereas a new tool is not. All that needs to happen is for the quantity of resources that are retrieved on a successful Medical Forage needs to be changed from 1 to 8, and the variety of resources needs to be expanded to include more inorganics at novice medic, and additional profession-specific resources at novice doctor and novice CM. Doesn't SOUND too difficult . Also, it does not infringe on the artisan the same way our being able to use survey tools would.

All that said, a droid that surveys, and a droid that samples would be great uses for an underutilized, yet essential, aspect of the SW universe.

My views are probably going to be very unlikeable but here goes.

I love the idea of having a dizzy state applied to someone that is at +1 HAM, but I think this is going to create a problem since the developers would not be able to distinguish in the type of damage done either poison or regular.

I would personally like to see the incapacitation put back in, but give doctor's an area of effect cure. Maybe something on the lines of our mind heal. Make it cause them mind wounds when they use it. Also agood idea would be to give doctors a poison and disease resistancemedicine that takes combat medic components to build, like our healing medicines require doctor components.

I do not think medics, doctors, or combat medics should get the survey skill in any form. I think there are artisans in the game for that reason. If you give us survey skills, then I want scouting skills as well because the price of avian meat is out of site and I could not keep my scouting skills.

I am of the opinion that we need a bigger money maker in the game. This would allow us to make some money to buy resources, or even survey waypoints from artisans. That is what I do. I have an artisan friend that I pay 20000 credits per month to supply me with waypoints to the resources that I need. He is all to happy to do it. I then go out to those points and plop down a harvester and go to work.

I have just now hired three rangers to help me collect resources. Most of the time they do not need them but they have to harvest for the experience. So I pay them for their time and services, and they bring me the best resources they can get. All in all this works out alright for me and while it might not work for you, it is possible, to do.

These are my opinions on the matter, for better or worse.

Hi there

Well, I guess you guys will kill me, but I think nothing of the above should be changed or implemented. I am playing a Master CM and a 2-3-3-2 Carbineer and I am quite happy with my profession.

There is no reason to reimplement incap for poisons. Start handling your CM... or do you know a PvP-Profession who could fight a 10+ group (okay, I was killed in the end, but which prof is able to incap 4 people and reset the HAM to 1pt of 6 other enemies in PvP?).

But I have also a few ideas to the CM:

The CM is a supporting profession for Combat - especially in PvP. I am the first one who enters the battlefield throwing my poisons and deseases - then returning behind the lines and taking care of my taskforce by throwing my areaStims. But I like the idea that a CM - who could create poison/desease deliver units and apply deases and poison - is able to cure these things. This would make a CM a welcome profession to every raidgroup and it would make the raids more amazing...

Even so a CM should be able to heal the state effects...

This would make a combat medic to a very useful supporting character in every raidgroup and even the multiperson-pvp-raids would be very amazing and would be last more then a few minutes...

Greetings

> Start handling your CM...

Sorry to bust your bubble but you are doing as great as you are because you have high carbine spec, not because you are great CM. Not that there is anything is wrong with it, I myself enjoy being CM 4414 Carbine, but realise that you are winning battles because you are Carbine (KD).

Commando. Who by the way takes SAME AMOUNT of points as CM.

> The CM is a supporting profession for Combat

Says you. Many people think that CM is combat profession with few medic benefit Until (if ever) we'll have developers tell us what we are, you'll have to accept that some people playing COMBAT medic and would like to able to incap their opponents (I am making assumption here that poison+dieases incap is going to be changed).

Is it just me or does it look this this boils down to:

1) Maybe, but you'll have to wait until next month
2) Wait until next month
3) Forget about it
4) Wait until next month
5) Doubtful, but in any case wait until next month.

Not a whole helluva lot to be excited about.

Lol, 2nd in a choice of 2. You're right though, say I read in Guildchat 'any healers in town?' and I respond with 'yeah, I'm a CM', the next response is 'ugh'. Invariably, folks want their buffs.

From where? Seems new around these parts and I hadn't seen any 'Welcome so-and-so' threads started by Q or TH.

And, for the record, I really wasn't trying to be rude.
