to cure poison or disease you need not only to have the packs but also the doc skills to go with it to use them

so yes these are skill based use items and NOT only med use

/curedisease

/curepoison

these are learned in the doc tree

One of the things that you have to remember about CMs is that most use AE poisons rather than target specific. I was in a battle a few days ago and used a poison on a commando who was just laying waste to all my guild buddies. A moment later I get some guy yelling profanities for applying poison to his corpse, saying that I was an exploiter (along with a number of more profane names), and that he was reporting me.

The only thing I can tell you as far as poison/disease... Find someone to kill you. I know that it's not the greatest answer, but it's the only one we have.

I think my question, of course, is this: Were you in Bestine with a flame thrower?

I'd leave you on the ground too. heh

If not DBing on the kill is griefing, what's using a flame thrower on tatooine?

Oh and how many times had you come back with an RTEF?

Forget about getting someone to kill you. Just go attack a lair with a dagger or fist or something that wont do much damage. Save the faction points from not getting DB'd, die, get recloned, and yer done with it.

Just for thought, I poisoned someone in a duel the other day as a joke (since he's a friend of mine) and when I went to heal his poison with a poison healy med-pack, it wouldn't work. For some reason the command /healstate poison didn't work and simply clicking on the med-pack in my tool bar didn't work. So he had to suck it up... died a lot I guess.

I appologized later.

Fast way to fix this is duel someone and let them db you.

/healstate does not /cure poisons or diseases. You need to have the other tree of abilities to do it, as well as the meds.

Maybe if people paid Doctors what they're worth then there would be more Doctors around.

well seeing as you are a novice commando i tend to think that CM had a rather nasty run-in with a flamethrower and it's lasting effect some time before and wanted a little bit of payback but i could be wrong.

I was thinking the same thing myself..

I hope at least that the original poster will be so kind as to not use his heavy wound causing weapons against other players since its 'inconsiderate' to cause all those wounds, which, coincidently, would take as much time to heal as he spent incapped.. /shrug

Uh, so WE don't want it, and YOU don't want it in for PvP--then why is it still there??

I as a medic have been roasted and toasted by a commando before. Please dont tell me about the 3 in 10 rule because it did not work. He took me down at least 25 times before I could get far enough out into the wild and get a animal to DB me. The other scary thing was I was covert. My party and Iwere just standing in town afk and we get blasted. I am working towards master combat medic now and you better beleive I will be more then glad to repay the favor if I see that guy again.

on a related note...

The current pvpsystem is really messed up. Youshould be able to play a side and notbe worried about getting waxed every 2 mins. When I stated playing this game I only joined the imps because I had a friend who had joined and I wanted to be able to run missions together (I'm not a starwars nut and I think Luke can go sit on his lightsaber for all I care). When I interacted with people in game I didnt care if they were rebs or imps. I treated everyone the same. Now I have a different take onit. I have been sowered byPVPers. Iinteract and deal with very few rebs now.

Sorry that this happened to you and thank you for not blaming all CMs for the actions of one CM. If /quit doesn't work, perhaps you can find someone kind enough to duel and DB you? I agree this is a problem and needs to be fixed so you auto-die again after the 3rd poision death.

This bug really pissed me off the other day. I got incapped twice due to mind poison. I had someone duel and db me. I woke up cloned. STILL POISONED. I got incapped 7 more times until i was able to aggro a greater desert womp rat to attack me so that I would reclone again. Incapping 3 times is fine, I don't care. But you should be able to die if you want to.

I miss my Master Doctor skills
