lol this is the funniest CM post I've read in a long while. hehe first the in conclusion i like hot dogs and now the what should we give? colds?...5 stars!

The reason it didn't suffer a 75% reduction is because it does the damage it needs to. It's a Combat Medics only combat skill it's like saying nerf a flamethrower to do less than 100 damage in pvp and a pistol to do less than 10.


When you're poisoned you don't just walk around and start shooting at people just think about what mustard gas will do to a person. This is Chemical Warfare.


Don't be stupid. I know it's a lot to ask for most of you nerf whiners because you're not old enough to know what the word maturity means.


Anyway , to those of you who deserve this comment, youknow who you are,seriously, Don't Be Stupid.

i just have to say, that the combat medics destroy my gameplay and that is one of many reasons, i am going to cancel my account. its just so anoying, if you get a 500+ poison all the time. this gets me down, even if i have all mindstats over 3k... :/


and because i cant counterattack it, dodge it or whatever, the huge range and averything else, i started to hate it.

So i suppose it's ok to run around and continue fighting with some massive bleeding from the head. When you get shot in the eye, you definitely don't continue to fight. We could think of a million examples like this. And it's like we can buy gas masks or anything like that. At best if we're lucky we can get enhancements of +25 resists.This is rediculous.


At least if your on fire you can run to a river, but it's not like docs are readily available waiting around to heal poison/disease for the fun of it.


You know a profession like cm is overpowered when every single other poison/disease in the game done by any npc or creature is much much weaker. One star me if you want, flame me, whatever. You're overpowered.


I'm too pissed off with the bs in this profession to go on.

it's not like we can run around with 80% resist to poison compositeand disease is it. i hope we get issued some sort of protection from poisons and diseases or this game is headed into the toilet. the game will be nothing more than master cms and master docs with some other combat profession. how f'ing pointless is that.

and yes your right people should get resists to poisons and diseases but no dont try and say we are more over powered thencomandos you cant just run into a river to get out of fire....u have to goint a large body of watter.....like the DEVs said even on the SWAMP planet of rori people still have to run for up to 20min to get to a body of watter big enough to get rid of flame.....and theres no place on tat that has a body of watter big enough...plus we cant kill people without non CM skills.....wile if im not mistaken comandos can kill anyone in allmost 1 hit if the people dont have buffs


if you want to cancle your SWG account that great its not like the DEVs will change anything for 1 person......and also this game is ging to have half the people as IDs befor they are all CMs ok.....the classes that i see to much if ANY are TKMs comandos and BH....

People allways whine, no matter what is going on. On Ultima Online was the same, infinite horse stamina, reagent vendors dont spawn, I get killed by people with sticks...


But its only a minority view and it annoys them so much that they actualyl get physically upset and have to post. Which is a shame, cos everyone else just plays and doesnt post to say "hey i had a great fight with some CMs the other day" as they are too busy having fun

ok, i'm a little more calm now. i think as it stands currently, the cm poisons and diseases are devasting and slightly overpowered. i will give the devs credit for increasing the spawn times of the fire breathing spider (or whatever its called). i'm not saying that cm's should be nerfed, i just think that they don't need anymore spider venom drops with strengths of 251 or better. just my two cents.

...wait..the fire spider drops loot that makes good poisons and diseases....*twitch* *twitch*........hehehe...no jk but yeah i am a CM and yes i do think that there diseases should be nurfed a lil...poisons i dont know.....they only do damage wile diseases do wounds but you can't really say that our poisons are over powered when iv'e been killed head shot.......ummmm 3 i think it was.......well yeah the head shot a RM gets.....anyways it killed me in 1 hit so you can't say that our poisons are over powerd when thay dont incap as far as i know and they are a DOT so if our DOTs are over powered then so is head shot 3..i think.... lol..and im gessing also leg shot and body shot are over powered to....assuming that they do the same amount of DMG just to difernt bars....corect me if im wrong plz....i dont look to far into skill and stuff like that

The CM in our guild on wanderhome has mind poison that does 900 dmg a tick about every ten seconds. You cannot dodge it, counter it, block it, nor does ranged or melee defense stop it. Armor is no good against it. There are no abilities that allow you to begin to resist it unless you get lucky and loot some good attachments. I don't know if any of the new chef foods grant resistances to it but that would at least be a start.Poison never misses. Whenour CMruns around with our master sharpshooter/tkm the two of them can take out entire groups of PC's with little effort.


This is a game that we all pay for and as a GAME it should be BALANCED. People who try to compare it to real life are missing the point completely. I'm not a fan of the Nerf bat and i don't necissarily think that CM's should be nerfed, but i think that other players should get the chance to resist or avoid the poison attacks. And CM's have every opportunity for decent defenses if they choose another combat class to go along with it. Our CM is also master doc and has no defenses except for the nasty tank armor he wears and he rarely ever gets knocked out of combat. Maybe since CM's have area poison, Doc's should have an area poison heal?

Area heals fall into the Combat Medics domain. Much like Docs wouldn't want CMs to have a cure ability, we don't want them to have an AE ability either....

Last night while in a big pvp battle the following occured. Cm's entered water and sat at 60-70m and threw their balls of love all over me and about 40 other guys. I had all stats buffed including mind and subsequent substats. I was also drank 2 +400 brandies, ate 1 canepe, and resist to poison food. Within 2 minutes I had 400bf and over 1k in mind wounds that took approximately 4 minutes to meditate off. Most of the other guys were not so lucky and some 3 incapped on all the states thrown on them. Never the less1-2 cm's took out an entire attack, that is a FACT, not a complaint.


Its a FACT that we could not shoot at them due to distance, furthmore we can not shoot while in water so they were protected. Now please try to explain how you see that as a balanced scenerio? Battle preperations took over an hour, and cost quite a few credits, only to have our guys taken out of the battle instantly. Mind you we did have dr's and cm's of our own but there was not much they could do to help us.


Call this whinning if you must, but please draw your on conclusions. Ask yourself would you want to spend 1-2 hours preparing for an exciting pvp battle, and spend it meditating with 40 or so of your friends??....never getting the chance to fire a shot cause you need to find an entertainer. Their cm's were good guys crafted excellent stuff and played within what the game allows, so I do not fault them at all.

I'm just about to start on CM because its something totally different to what I've done before. God knows what state the profession will be in when I get to Master, but oh well.


Its pretty obvious from reading these CM forums that the majority of whiners are totally PvP inept. I PvP ALOT and would rank CM nowhere near my top 3 of professions I struggle against. TKM's in particular (ya know, 75% of the guys on the server, the ones that can be seen meditating in thier pretty doc's dresses) hate CM's because they are the one class that can cause them problems. These are the same people on the Rifleman forums complaining.


I have no doubt at some point CM's will be nerfed to complete and utter uselessness and we're all playing Star Wars Galaxies: Melee Wars.
