I find CM to not be very dabbler friendly myself. Personally I would recommend picking up as much doc as you can if you are going to dabble a healing class. Get some enhance ability, maybe rez and some disease cure. The poison payoff will really come when you hit master CM and it doesn't sound like you are looking to try that.

Bleeds in Pistoleer are cheaper DOTS than Poisons. 3/0/0/4 is better than 0/0/0/4, but as others have said, CM is not very dabbler friendly. I am currently 4/1/2/4, working to master, and feel very limited by the stuff out there that is below 75 med use. My Bleeds are quick to apply, cost little mind, and don't require me to stop moving. They can also be applied from a better range with a Republic Blaster (which anyone can use, is AP1, does great damage, and is faster than a poison).

Hey I am a newb to the combat med prof and I was hoping I could get a little help.

the thing I am having trouble with is using disease units. I know my skill is high enought to use the basic ones, and yet when I click on a baddie to use them, nothing happens, no message saying out of range or anything. I am just making basic health disease delivery units and I have ranged support 1 so my med use should be high enough.

if you can help me out I would really appreciate it, thanks alot

well, I am a Doc, not a CM.. (you shoulda used the profession forums),but that is exactly what happens if your Med Use skill is high enough, but you do not have the basic skill to apply the disease unit.

It is a common Novice doc question that they cannot use a buff pack when their Use skill is high enough. The problem is they are not high enough on the proper tree to have the basic /healenhance skill to be able to even TRY to apply the buff.

Check your skill trees for a skill that sounds like /applydisease or whatever CMs call it. You do not have that skill.

ok I will do that, its just strange because its an item that can be crafted on novice level CM so I thought I would be able to use it, and I dont get any sort of feed back message saying my skill isn't high enough or whatever.

also sorry about posting in the wrong fourms, I just missed the prof fourm earlier.

thanks for the help anyway though.
