Thread: Ideas for a skill to replace Infect
Every 10 seconds random state or maybe certain set states:
Dizzy/Blind/KD/Stun/Etc
that'd be great
an area KD attack.
an area DoT around a 150 tick. (Interesting, but nothing significant)
I like the random states idea, that sounds like a ton of fun.
Suggestions to improve/alter Infect
- Area DoT approx 150-200 damage
- Add a significant health Degen
- Increase the amount infect will reduce (example: 10% max health at level 1, 20% at level 2, 30% at level 3)
- Apply a random state every 10 seconds for a duration (Blind, Dizzy, KD, Stun)

I would say the areas DOT might be a burden as when u sed u might agro like 15 bols simulateneously
. PvP wise though i might be very usefull. I would vote for #2 or #3.
p.s. the abilty to heal wounds would always be welcome ![]()

True, but in that circumstance You wouldn't use an area attack, just like any other profession that has an AoE or Cone attack.

When asking for a new ability, I think it's important that you tread lightly. I think it's important to convince the devs that this isn't something that's going to cause a ton of grief on the boards. #4 is something that a player will always notice and start complaining about the new ability. The same for #1 even though it has little PvP implications and is not overpowering, people will notice something new and be upset. I think two and especially three have the best chance of implementation. The debuffs are there, don't always get noticed when applied and it's hard for a player to measure it's effectiveness in a battle. Fixing Infect to be more effective is even better as one, people never look to see changes in their total health and it's something already in the game, not something new.
If we want the devs to implement it, I think it needs to be something they can doas quietly as possible, without ruffling that many feathers. Otherwise they'll just leave it.
Personally though...I'd rather have number four!![]()

An area dot in the 150-200 range would not be overpowering, it could even be a dot of 200-300 strength like the non-area dots if the dots didn't stack. I think the real issue in pvp with dots is that in the old system you could lay 6 (I'm pretty sure) dots on one pool that all stacked in an area (multiple targets)....that's too much. Balance must be considered.
As a second option wound healing would be nice, even if it were at Master.
Third option make Infect stronger as mentioned. I don't think it would be overpowering if over time something's max ham was reduced by 1/3.

well only 2 classes if i rember correctly have an intimidate
and as for damage reducer, we have your -40 slow, which is amazingly effective
as for infect.... i think the idea of turning it into a percent of health would be great...
