If they don't fix infect, what do you think they should add in its place? Any and all ideas for a new skill are welcome.

realistic ideas here folks .

I have several ideas that may make infect worth using.

  1. Add a third DoT to our aresenal (uninteresting, but works)
  2. As is, add a severe health degen to it
  3. Allow infect to stack with itself
  4. Make it precentage based (example 20% of max health)

What about a stance like state to place on ourselves? Not reflecting like Duelist is, not CoB, but another that allows for a higher defense against ranged only.


Makes sense for a CM to be moderately protected from ranged weapons.

C'mon, you know the first time that gets used in PvP if its anything more than 10 per tic it will be nerfed.


I like the idea of a debuff that starts at -10 % and gets up to -30% over time

Though a 3rd dot would be nice.

Then again.... an area DOT that does only 100 damage would be nice...

"Heart Puncture" make it do the following:


Slowly crawl up the leg of the target then it breaks open in to a huge chat bubble and says "BOO" , it can be called "Heart Puncture" . At novice u get "Heart Puncture", and at MCM u get "Advanced Heart Puncture " that will also have a msg scroll across the targets screen saying "You have been Frightened. Please hunker down and look scared"


ok seriously:

1. Single health hit "Heart Puncture" for say 500 damage on a 10 sec timer. will be nice for pvp. range 35.


2. "Brain Hit" :causes decreased ability of target to heal. nice for both Pv|P and PvE. them kryts that are hard to keep up with cuz they heal so fast??? range 35.

An area ability would be cool, but not an area DoT. Perhaps something we can throw that will Blind, Dizzy, and Stun within a 10-15m radius. Wouldn't be much use in PvE though.

It would be cool if we had some sort of Plague ability too. We set it upon ourselves, and then run into a group of enemies. If we get within 1m of them, they get the Plague too.

I really like the idea of a max health debuff, if it was a bit stronger it would be quite useful.


Or... how about it ticks and you get a random state applied, maybe even KD?

Heh if anything i'd like to see a "heal self only option" nothing is more embarrasing to me than being a MASTER combat medic and walking around with wounds... i dont want to heal others....just myself...pweeeeeze

Reducing the enemies ability to heal is very interesting. It would have uses in both high end PvE and in PvP.

I would suggest something that slowed enemy players reactions (by increasing the timers on their specials).

Either that, or an attack that doesn't cause any damage itself, but instead causes a chance to disrupt any specials that the target uses.
