Definitely something like intimidate or similar to force weaken.

I like the idea of just boosting infects ability and really make it do what it says its supposed to. Were CM's I just dont see us being able to intimidate things, it really doesnt match up with our playing style.

I've been thinking about my suggestion of random states a bit more and I feel it would detract from Pistoleer and PIkeman state application abilities.
The thing that infect should never do is cause wounds, as that is a grief tool that the Devs will never allow.
I think the only realistic thing that can be done is to boost the tick so that it is useful in PvP. It still wont be worth using in PvE though unless it also has some small defence/attack debuff of say 10% on it as well.

how about puking!! It lowers your posture one each time it hits...kinda like a DOT, but actually a POT (puke over time)
