What combat abilities? Poisons and Disease packs cant kill anyone.
Ok.
First off- This is not true. I along with many others have been incapped and killedby disease and poisons. You do not need a combat profession to complement the damage that CM does.
Second off- Even if this were true, reducing someone'smind poolto 1 in about20 seconds (which I have witnessed before, no exaggeration) is not overpowering? Why should I along with everyone else in this gamehave to pissaway ourSP on getting Doctor just because every time I go out into combat I have to worry about a CM poisoning/diseasing the **edit** out of my mind. It defeats the entire point of the SP system and the idea of template customization. And no, I shouldn't have to bring a Doctor with me every time I go out into combat.Anyone that uses that as a comebackto the CM nerf-cry needs to realize that CM's were supposed to originally take the role of whatDoctors are actually doing nowadays- protecting others in combat. It'sextremelyannoying when people have to ruin PVP by throwing poisons around. What's the point of even PVPing anymore if every time I go somewhere I'm only going to last about half a minute because of someCM who enjoys boosting the **edit** out of his combat rating by poisoning everyone?CM's are just as damaging if not more than Jedi at this point. Since when should a single profession be able to wipe out 10+ people at once? Jedi is the only profession I can think of that really deserves that ability.
Third off- There's a big difference between having to customize your template according to your most commonly faced opponent/the deadliest and having to customize it in order to just survive and have a chance. Strategy vs. Survival is the real issue. With any combat profession it is possible to defeat another profession. No matter how much people **edit** and moan about how a combat profession sucks, there are ways to useeach one toyour advantage and there are ways to win in combat. It's just that everyone in this game figures that once they master their profession they should be able to spam their uniquely given special attack and let the rest take care of itself. Believe it or not, you need to strategize in order to be successful in this game. I have seen pistoleers kick the **edit** out of riflemen and tka's. I have seen bounty hunters own fencers andriflemen. But I still see CM's throwing poisons farther than Riflemen can fire. The only way to defeat a CM is really to surprise them, which is almost impossible with radar implemented ingame. Even if you are able to surprise one, nobody in this game, not even Jedi, can kill someone in one blow (unless the person attacked is unbuffed/without armor, which is almost never the case because most people in this game have an IQ over 50 and know not to go overt without any armor or buffs), and therefore, by the time you land your first attack, their firing the **edit** out of their poison at you. So even if you own the crap out of one, you're screwed.
With the re-establishment of NPC's using specials and doing 1200 damage, you are needed whether you think so or not. Until they give doctors area heals, you are needed. Places like the DWB and the Corvette are where CM's could easily thrive. Even Nighsisters now.

or combat medic
but there will not be many of either if the prof is crushed. and even a loser like you should realize that losing another profession to total brokenness hurts all of us, makes the game (more) boring, and fixes nothing.

Gavvot, don't walk into a room filled with Redlegs (Army slang for Field Artilleryman) and tell them they're a "support" branch.
You'll get your ass handed to you with remarkable alacrity.
There are three kinds of "arms" in the US Army:
Combat
Combat Support
Combat Service Support
Field Artillery is a combat arm, just likeInfantry, Armor (those are the guys in the tanks), or Special Forces.
yeah

Actually, very few players miss the days of PVP being dominated by CH's running around with 3 huge pets.
Though I feel bad for CH's, I'd rather see them stay screwed, than see "Pokemon Wars" again.
Most will feel the same way about CM in a couple of months.

to hell with that....there is no way to justify totally killing a profession....the cm community called for the adjustment and what they did is absolutely kill us....now we only are good for ranged heals.....for 169 points you should do better than that.......that's ok though.....when PvP still sucks I will laugh my ass off.......and as someone said in another post...when you realise the only way to kill a temploiter (99% of those calling for nerf) is with poison. Defense Stacking should actually be nerfed...all we needed was to be balanced...but that isn't SOEs way....they, like you would rather break the profession...but I think u would be smart enough to fix it...the devs don't have the intelligence god gave a turnip.....hell...50% innoculations would be good...why make a class a or b innoculation be 95% resistant to most poisons and disease?

Actually, I was more thinking of artillery that the field soldiers have to call and give coordinates so they can shoot straight on target and kick ass, but can't do nothing at close range and need alot of time to move.
Maybe it's not the exact right term, but I'm no military.

i dont think we are quite ready to say this yet there is no proof. have you tested large scale PvP under this new system? please if you have let me know.
you know the devs are about to change some major things in the game a few that i have heard are
1. accuracy nerfs across the board (guess whatt consider inoculations to be your early accuracy nerf)
2. buff nerfs (making your poisons do higher percent damage overall)
3. ham cost are going to be completely different (if you do secondary poisons then they may have hard times useing specials)
FACT is there is tooomany unknowns and with that all your "the nerf is too strong" arguments are NULL AND VOID without more info. so in the mean time shut up quit yelling at the devs who i and others dont think are stupid and have some patience
