Thread: So what are CMs going to gain to mitigate this nerf?

Hum,
Can I ask you why an army don't have only that armament?
Because, even if it is great in certain situation, it does really sux in others.
And this kind of unit alone might be able to deal some nasty damage, but would be nothing compared to it complemented with other kind of units.
That's what I ment by support.
Something that is great when used properly against the right target and with the right complement.
And that can really sux alone in alot of situations.
A bazooka deal an insane amount of damage.
Why soldiers are equiped with guns and not just with bazooka?
well, that definition of support pretty well applies to all the combat related professions in swg. any given RL unit from footsoldier to aircraft carrier to nuclear missile has its role, and is thus a support unit, by your definition. if a MLRS is a support unit, and an infantryman is a support unit, and a missle frigate is a support unit and an M1A1 is a support unit, and an F-15 is a support unit, are there any combat units? of course. they are all combat units. but the field hospital os pretty much a support, not direct combat, unit.
all I know from you is your arguments.
That doesn't help your situations.
A chemical weapon expert without the help of some damage dealer to protect him should be a piece of dead meat.
Support is greatly helping others but being much less usefull alone.
I've never been nuked by a CM.
All I know is the big number of people that I know that have left the game because of what CM did to PvP.
And how great a CM is in a team if he knows what he's doing.
Lol, the KD on wich rely the TKA, could you check how much defense against it you can have without any combat skill?
That's right, between 90% and 100%.
And you don't need a doc for that.
Leave the DE argument really, leave it.
You have no idea what it is to make a droid or be a MDE.

actually, the less you know about your enemy, the better his situation is.
A chemical weapon expert without the help of some damage dealer to protect him should be a piece of dead meat.
which is pretty much true in swg for combat medics. alone, we get mowed down by tkm, mr, fencer, etc. i do not personally know any pure cm's who do much solo pvp. if you want to do that, you go cm/mr
Support is greatly helping others but being much less usefull alone.
um, if you are supporting, you must, by definition, have someone or something to support. if i am supporting my self, well, so is everyone else. so we are back to everyone is a support profession
I've never been nuked by a CM.
first off, i find this difficult to believe. if you have not been nuked, WHAT THE HECK DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ANY OF THIS!?! i have been nuked by cm's and i do not have the singleminded tenacity to try and defend your pitiful positions. if you have never had a problem with getting hammered by CM, please go away!
All I know is the big number of people that I know that have left the game because of what CM did to PvP.
more left due to jedi upgrades. i actually know some who left for this reason, but not because of cm's
And how great a CM is in a team if he knows what he's doing.
...as all functional professions should be, thank you very much

um, i do not have that level of defense against kd. and i have a ranged master in addition to mcm. i have watched a proficient tkm kill repetedly, and kd is a staple item.
And you don't need a doc for that.
Leave the DE argument really, leave it.

actually, you are mistaken here, as well. i have a DE character that i don't play much cause cm was more fun, lol. but the bottom line here, as elsewhere, is you are WRONG, lol
actually, the less you know about your enemy, the better his situation is.
You're not my enemy.
Maybe I'm yours.
um, if you are supporting, you must, by definition, have someone or something to support. if i am supporting my self, well, so is everyone else. so we are back to everyone is a support profession
SWG is a great game because it let you have multiple role.
So you can have 1 main combat profession AND 1 support combat profession, wich is great.
Or multiple main combat profession
Or eventually multiple support combat professions...
But there are quite a few different type of support combat profession and quite a few of main combat professions, making it so you cannot be a one man army.
But yes, in some case everybody can support everybody, that's what a team is about isn't it?
And how great a CM is in a team if he knows what he's doing.
...as all functional professions should be, thank you very much
I wasn't talking about poison or disease...
more left due to jedi upgrades. i actually know some who left for this reason, but not because of cm's
Lucky man.
um, i do not have that level of defense against kd. and i have a ranged master in addition to mcm. i have watched a proficient tkm kill repetedly, and kd is a staple item.
Maybe check the food...
KD/dizzy is the only thing that allow TKM to deal real damage.
Dizzy doesn't work on creature, KD almost never work in PvP against someone that know food.
That does't make TKM useless how come?
Maybe because not everyone use those food in PvP. Like not everyone will be always buffed against poison/disease...
actually, you are mistaken here, as well. i have a DE character that i don't play much cause cm was more fun, lol. but the bottom line here, as elsewhere, is you are WRONG, lol
Make a list of what you cannot do without Master Artisan parts.
Try to stock a vendor with all those.
Make a list of what and how many Master artisan parts you'll need to make the more usefull droids.
Then try to find shop with engouh stock of those for you to be able to have a small stock on your vendor.
lol, I AM WRONG LOL LOL LOL.
Guess what, I'm human, I can be wrong and I don't fear that, but on this, I'm not.
And you having a DE that you don't play will not change that.

well, it was all tripe, but you still have a deficit in basic understanding. required means you must have it to gain the profession. you do not have to have it to gain the profession, thus it is not required. so no matter how functionally helpful it may be, it is none the less, not required. very very very very very helpful? ok. required? no
Unwritten requirement mean that it is not written on the skill screen but that without it the profession is not doable, or very very very very limited.
That's what DE is.
If you wanna call me a retard because I think that arguing on words is plain stupid and denying a situation because of agrument on a word is trolling, great do it.
Do you still think you can rude me.
(don't respond to that last sentance, that is a private joke).

an unwritten requirement? look, either it is required, or it is convienient. it is not required. go figure.
ok, let's ignore the facts for a sec and say every DE is a MA. 140 sp. add master fencer for 92 points, pick up novice medic for 15 points, and you still have 3 points to blow. the point is, you get a lot for your points. which you should. so should we.
go build some speeders.

We won't get squat.
SOE doesn't work with balanceing and compensation. They listen to the mob and nerf accordingly.
I'm not saying that power reduction wasn't required... I'm just saying there are more professions that got broken and then ignored. Nothing convinces me that we won't be treated the same.
/agreed...and now that we are going the way of the commando and the creature handler....kittens are being drowned as we speak.
What will crack me up is when PvP still sucks 2 weeks from this going live and will laugh loudly with my broken profession.

but at least then it will be someone else's fault. whew.

gonna be hard to handle jedi, too. my pvp is over. i died too much as it was, and now it will be for no good reason.
maybe i will go master DE, but isn't master artisan REQUIRED for that?
