I dont mind if someone dumps a bunch of money into there house and leaves for several months. But the houses that are condemend because money ran out is jacked up. If the money runs out then there obviously have no plans to come back. Let it decay and go poof like it used to.

You know whats worse is these guys who swaped lots with other servers and put up like 40-50 harvesters. Now the guy's left and we have 50 harvesters just burning up out in the fields...
All I know its hard to find a spot to even build a city because of all the misc. houses/factories/harvesters that are abandoned.

Well all the above gives enough reasons for the devs to implement some kind of purge.
And I still dont understand why they wont do it (they started talking about it in october 2003!!).... beats me.

Wow, that sucks..
Yes! On Chimaera it looks 110% the same. All is full of Houses and burning harvesters! The lag is horrible - Rubberbanding is back! We need a auto house packup after 30 days inactivity!

I know that people regularly take breaks from all types of games - But when you have eyesores like homes & harverters burning..that is way too much! Many good city sites, home sites & harvesting areas are going to waste. These old structures have also put out many good spawn points that stop the rest of us from playing in many good areas.
I think that SOE needs to take a stance on this. They should do the follwoing:
1) Pre-determine a timeframe of inactivity
2) Notify former cutomers of structure re-packaging
3) Re-package home & contents
4) Customer can have that in inventory when/if they ever log in again...and have to pay a fee (if applicable) for past due maintenance.
5) Make everyone happy by reducing eye-sore and area lag
Just my 2 cents.

They should give Mayors the option to evict people & their structures within city limits... When evicted the house & structures are auto packed and placed in the owners inventory...

Eviction isnt the answer, I place houses some where then someone builds a city nearby and it expands to include my houses. I was there first and should not have to move. Thats an example but a good one. Simply packing up the houses of inactive accounts or even just destroying all condemned houses would probally solve alot of are problems. Preferably both.

That's true... Architect business must be kinda slow since most buildings don't have any maitenence etc. So they can't sell as many structures as they used to. And with cities or parts of cities gone it would increase their business since people would begin buying more structures to create new cities.

Isnt it possible to send a PM to a dev, and ask him to take a loot at this thread?

Hehe... yes, lets hope he loots a solution
But to be ernest... Something has to be done I can't stand to see the burning harvester and factory fields any longer, especialy not, if they keep my now fullgrown city from using the space. Just pack it up to their datapads... or whatever, but do something.
