Thread: New Medium Naboo Complaints
This is going to kill the design of our city, which is a real shame. We are not a fortress. We just have a well thought out design that has been i place since the day player cities went live.
I hope the Developers read this, because it is very depressing indeed.
I care for my friends and the community we build, and this effects our creative ideas, all because of the lack of discipline on the exploiting group.
You disciplined the wrong people Devs!

or atleast post some replies to theeese treads?
Im just... sickened with worry. We have a challenging environment as it is: 2 klicks south of Theed where the Gungan monument is in the river..... wedged between the hill and the river is a narrow band we could build on. The Idea was a closely placed homes... to mimick Keren's windy streets. All goes well until now... as now we cant have our streets windy and close..as our main structure we used was the medium homes. We actually banned small houses because they lacked the physical archectual presence a medium Naboo neo-classical has. That was one of the best designe tools.. was using the medium homes as ways to define a city block... now not only is our design plans ruined.. but as medium houses now take up almost equal footing as a large.. you can imagin how less homes we can get per lot... this is absolutly a HUGE BLOW to player cities using Naboo medium homes. It has caused so much unhappiness amongst a constiuencey of Galaxies players... this is a politician and city planners "Combat Upgrade" fiasco!
Reverse the Medium Naboo foot print enlargement!!!!
I would like to see the DEV's build a player city under the conditions they force us to build under! Compleate with enlarged medium house footprints, city caps, broken taxes, terrain that cant be altered!

We had three new citizens join last night. Normally our default housing is a medium. We placed them in smalls and one large. This is a short term solution. We need answers and an immediate return to the old footprint NOW.
OH MY GAWD !!! I am so upset with the new foot print for medium houses I actually just got sick, i really did!!!!
My whole city designe is based on placing medium homes close togther to encourage a village like atmosphere. My designe style is more akin to producing a city like Keren or Kaadera, rather then the sprawled-out grid like cities.
I understand the concept of not wanting to encourage walls, and to stop the use of Naboo medium houses as walls for bases... but THIS was absolutly the WRONG WAY to correct this problem.
A more proactive approach would have been to simply enlarge the foot print of a factional base..... to maybe 20 meters or something.
Allow for city planners and designers, who wish for something other then a grid pattern city, to create beautiful cities we know we can create! I bet most mayors and city planners have played a SIMMS city simulator, and other games that would allow them to craft cities. We are the stewards of the player communities.. yet we can not have the basic tools to craft legitimate looking cities! The reason people love the static cities is they look good... and player cities have such gross limitations!
WHAT should DEVS been doing instead of enlarging the Naboo medium house foot print?
1) character and old stucture purge!!!!
2) City Roads: Simple... we all know that when you place a structure, it flattens the vegitation around as well.. why not code this to be a pavement?
3) Terrine modifications: you mean in the sci-fi would our characters live in they cant even fill in the gully infront of the city hall?
4) Taxes from bank use, mission terminals, trainers, ect.
5) a managerie of other items that paying accounts have offered here.
I am so sickened.... NOW I have to contend with the certinty of empty lot places in my city where I can neather place a medium house or a garden in its place. The result is like looking at a gapped tooth mouth that you cant fill in the gaps!
This is obserd!
Why is it that they wish to punish cities, rountinly keep cities from being the beautiful player environments they could be, by not allowing us the creative tools we need to do this?
errrggggggg!!!!!! I see red right now.
/agree
I posted this issue originally because even despite the fact that my city is only half and half naboo/tattooine, I could see what huge implications this would have for city builders in general. This is an UNACCEPTABLE fix for the whole "wall" issue. Ive passed along the word to people on my server that I know to be severely affected, but Ill bet that we haven't even seen 1/10th of every affected politician post on these boards.... Only by causing a huge outcry amongst the civic community can we ever hope of getting this changed. Anyone who doesn't have a city on Rori/Naboo/Dantooine had also better chime in on this issue, since if this stands the next house to be changed will be the medium generic... You can bet on that.
I dislike the idea of smalls... they dont have the archectual visual "presence" a medium has... and the visual gaps between them makes it difficult to imagin them representing a city "block". I know that it was possible to travel between medium houses even though they were next to each other... this wasnt a bug to be exploited.... walls were never really walls once it became known that you could pass between medium houses if they were approached by a certin angle.
Ive never created a wall... only city blocks.. .and now that set up is ruined.. and I have such limited space to build on... this threatens my cities expansion!!!
Come on and play far devs! Give cities a chance to prosper, instead of slapping them down with a "fix" that is not a fix!!! Let Medium Naboo's be placed side by side, find another way to prevent walls around bases!
