Thread: New Medium Naboo Complaints

I was a little worried when I saw the notes regarding the medium naboo house and now that Ive gone into the game to see for myself I am a little more than outraged at the solution they've come up with. What theyve done is to add a line to each side of the footprint structure, so that instead of a 3x4 footprint it is now a 5x6 footprint. Anywhere that these structures already exist the footprints extend outwards by TWO! This is an UNACCEPTABLE solution. Im sure that there is NO issue about these houses being placed back to back because you cannot create a solid wall in this fashion. What was the issue was the fact that they could be placed side to side. All that was necessary to fix this issue was to add a single line to one side, meaning to alter it to 4x4 and recenter the house accordingly.

As it stands right now I cannot even substitute small naboos in the place of the medium in future development without first removing every single medium naboo from the zone in question. To add insult to injury they've done NOTHING about the fact that the medium generic houses can still be placed side to side creating the same kind of wall. So now in areas where people cannot remove every single medium naboo from their complexes they will simply pack up and create a new base complex somewhere else.

My city is now as good as ruined. A city plan that has been strictly enforced for neara year and a half is worthless. Any house that disappears can no longer be replaced and my town will over time render itself uninhabitable.

They really should have considered leaving pre-established towns as they were. I have no room to adapt to this. My only option for future expansion is to move my city off Naboo. This was a totally unnecessary addition and needs to be re-evaluated.

We had a layout we cannot complete. I understand the principle behind it for the faction base exploiters. But we have no bases and were enjoying this benefit for 2 years. The effect this has does not effect the current exploited bases, so there really is no logic in it at the moment. Please reconsider.

You punish the people in the game, respecting the rules and trying to have fun enjoying a benefit we had for 2 years now. Instead of punishing the right minority doing this to cause the change.

If bases are all they are worried about they need to make so that medium naboo's can be walked through by players. Not make it so you have to place them far away from each other.

Or just put a darn radius around the bases so houses cannot be placed within 150 meters. It was illogical and ingorant for them to due such a drastic measure they did. They did nothing but hurt the honest players and their cities this time around. And this needs to be reverted and the BASES dealt with, not the player housing perks.

The artwork change would've been more sensible. Now there are going to be even worse city layouts on naboo, dantooine and rori. A space along the foundation to allow passage of one toon or vehicle instead of the massive footprint that looks like you can cram a small naboo round house in.

Hello,

I think it's very stupid to "resolve" this "bug" afte 2 years...

We learn to play with, we built cities with, and we established street with. Today if one of the medium naboo house's owner leave his place, we couldn't reimplace this citizen until one of his 2 neighbors leave the city too...

And more, i think it was very beautifull to see medium stucked...

this is seriously stupid!

I urge the devs to change it back, seriously stupid to change a "bug" that has become established canon within the game. And its not liked the houses placed in "wall" fashion blocked people out - they didnt; there was a bug where you can drive/walk between the houses anyway.

Seriously annoyed that something like this is "fixed" when other major bugs are ignored!

PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK

Yep, I'm extremely frustrated by this change as well, and the rest of the people in my city are pissed too (over 100). And my city isnt the only one on my server affected by this. The dev's are looking to frustrate well over 500 players a server with this bs.

I agree, this sucks massively. My town's city layout has been affected greatly by this too.

WHY the devs would decide to change this once the community has adapted to it and embraced it for two years is beyond me. This must be changed.

I too thought the mediums in a row were nice-looking. It had an apartment-block feel to it.

Clearly, there was a problem with military bases, not with non-military Naboo houses. Changing the classic footprint of the Medium Naboo House arbitrarily negated nearly two full years of design, effort, andmaintenance of mayors, citizens, and any owner of true Star Wars themed, seamless, Nabooian row-housing.

What a terribly poor decision in favor of the GCW at the expense of, arguably, one of the galaxy's most beautiful house designs and footprints! It also penalizes, most unfairly, those who do not participate in the GCW in favor of city design and simple enjoyment of non-combat aspects of the game.

I implore the Game Developers to reconsider the peaceful beauty and theme of Star Wars design, geography, and architectural concepts instead of placing war, war, war first.

Given that proper placement of many types of structures can "blockade" any given region, I see no merit in this Publish 19 "fix" of something that was not broken. Please do reinstate the traditional footprint of the Medium Naboo House.

Short sighted Developers strike again.

What a shame. I hate when we have to get mad to get a point across. But the developer team refuses to listen to the complaints. They continue to fix non-issue items and refuse to repair things that really matter, such as broken sales tax, or messed up BE clothing attachements, or WHERE HAVE ALL THE BATTLEFIELDS GONE!!! -- after you said you were going to improve them.

They have shown us that they have poor direction, yet again. It is sad that this game remainsenticing for the communityonly because we, the members of the community, work to makethis game functional and entertaining -- not the developers.
