Yeah, it'd be interesting to see the reasoning behind some of this stuff.
PS: I didn't say flatter me, screaming and cursing at the Devs all day isn't going to get you anywhere. However, constructive criticism has a better chance of getting things done. Just a little tip from the real world you claim to know so much about.

And you obviously should brush up on your reading skills, I didnt threaten you with a ban, I simply inferred that perhaps you could call me some names so we could move along with your banning so we dont have to listen to you anymore. Congratulations on being the only person I know who has had a post removed for being derogatory and not being banned.
Ive been listening to your whiney knowitall crap for the last month. I have a question for you. Have you ever had a good thought about anything? anything at all?
You arent sticking up for your profession, you are sticking up for your wallet. You made that rather apparent with your bogus top chef wants posts where 90% of what you listed were things that we were told were on the way already then got all whiney when people filled you in that it was in the works. You obviously hadn't bothered to read a single thing that had been going on on this board. You came in guns blazing trying to stir up crap and not having a foggy clue what you were talking about. If its all just the same, Id rather someone who has a clue and a bit of tact stick up for OUR profession. Preferrably sirvimes since that HIS position not yours. The last thing Id ever want to see is some uber leet dewd using dewd speak and calling people names claiming to stick up for me. Knock yourself out flinging mud all you want. Ive managed to ignore you for a month already Im sure I can keep doing so without any problems. Its not like Id be missing important information or anything. And if I wanted your advice on my behavior, Ive a middle school up the road where I could just ask any kid there thanks anyway. I'll act any way I want and I can even do it without using numbers for words or insulting people by calling them names. By all means, sticking up for yourself is a good thing.But I fail to see how slinging mud and calling people names because they dont agree with you is sticking up for yourself. You are certainly entitled to your own opinion. But you dont have any right to think that other people arent entitled to theirs. I disagree with Pkstangs opinion as well. But he still hasa right to have an opinion...And since this is a thread for discussion about it, he certainly has every bit as much right to state his opinion as you do. And frankly from the way you carry yourself, Id bet a lot more people are interested in his opinion than yours. You on the other hand, do NOT have the right to go around calling people names.
And as an FYI, I never said I like the patch. The patch has me so disgruntled I dont even want to think about playing.

ok now I feel like a heel...took me so long to write that post that it seems a lot transpired in that time. Sorry for blasting you after the apology I didnt know you had apologized. Your last post was much more reasonable and a worthy read.

Next Time I scream and yell at the devs I'll let you know... Here's a tip from the real world you know jack about - don't put words in my mouth, it comes back to you ten fold brotha... Here's some more -- don't moan about constructive criticism in a post where you criticize someone in that very same post, makes you look real smart. Another Tip: In the real world, most people don't sign up for something unless they know fully what they are getting themselves into. Well, most smart people anyways. I can't see how anyone would be able to fully back this new system without knowing the whole story..
I'm not a sheep. I don't play follow the leader. If my best friend juped off a bridge, I'd go find a new best friend.
And for anyone who doesn't agree that we need to get the devs/designers in here to give us a complete breakdown of the chef system that is in production on TC, speak now. I think it will really help us all know what is coming, and what changes we could possibly get made to it before it goes live.

Lol (I'm not criticising you here) -- my post got nuked Not because it was derogatory, but because vimes didn't like what I had to say (I'm assuming this here, otherwise it wouldn't have been deleted)...
no use repeating it, but I'll assure you there was not one curse in the post, in fact it was like.. one sentence about how I called someone a moron.. which, in hindsight may have not been the best thing to do..

I don't think Anyone disagreed with the idea that we need to get Dev response in here, in fact, it's been discussed a little on and off today. When you sit in a thread and say "I'm going to quit if this hits live" it is a threat that holds no value, I'm sure the Devs don't care if you quit tomorrow. My point I'm trying to punch through your thick skull is that posts like your constructive criticism post are a lot more effective than your rants scattered in every thread here. It's ok to be angered/disappointed, but to express it in the manner that you've done most of the day is pretty unacceptable. Dev's don't wanna read that crap, they want to read informed constructive crit like your recent post. Do that more often and there won't be a problem. Apologies for pissing you off or whatever.

I saw the post before it was nuked. Itswhat finally pissed me off about you. Course I see you made a very similar post in another thread today calling someone else names. The chef community as a whole does not behave in this manner. I *think* (yea I could be wrong) that I speak for a large number of us in saying that we really dont appreciate that type behavior being forced on us. Unfortunately, its seems that for several reasons chef is going to be more popular and more popular and we are seemingly going to degrade ourselves to the level of a few other classes that I wont name with all the new blood we get in class.
If you make a logical well presented post, people may read what you have to say...all this name calling garbage is just unecessary crap and has no purpose on this forum on than stirring up people and making them mad. Chefs have a community, its one of the things that many people voiced as one of their favorite things about our profession. The reason chefs have that community is because we DONT behave that way. Do you really want destroy what currently appears to be about the only thing chef has going?

I have never, ever, EVER had anybody's post deleted because I did not like what they had to say.
Let me see, you were calling people morons, you were swearing...all somebody had to do to get your post deleted was just use the "report abuse to moderator" option.

SirVimes, I told you my thoughts last night, but for the record, I think the patch is heading in the right direction.
Gripe: The benefit of using bigger containers should be in line with the cost. Not a high cost with little benefit.
