As a non-master Chef I sell all the food I make. It is slow but I make more than enoughby selling on the bazaar and a vendor in mycity's Cantina.

However once I become a Master, I will want to make factory crates of my items like any master. There just isnt enough time to locate all the resouces and keep them in stock if you spend your time making singles.

I would like to point out that my stimpack business sells crates and singles at about the same rate. This may have something to do with the fact that the Stimpack Bs have 30-40 uses.

There is no doubt that making singles is a complete waste of time. Selling singles can not even pay the maintenence for my small house, no matter how uber the final stats of my experimented food and drink items are. You can make as much money as an image desinger doing people's hair while waiting for a shuttle.

Keeping my fingers crossed for the revamp, but not holding my breath.

95% crates the rest are new players that want to experiment with food/drink or someone wanting to try out something new. With the revamp I will of course be selling samples of food so that everyone can once again figure out what will work best for them. Once things have settled down I will be back to selling crates for the vast majority of sales.

I could do OK selling on the bazar.

But 20 items at 3k isn't much compared to a vendor of full crates starting at 40k. And there are less stocking fees and travel costs on a vendor thats in my house.

I sell by crates in my vendor and sell out within 48 hours of 1,000 unit runs (sometimes 1,000 runs of the subcompoents). I have 4 factories at this point and cannot meet demand. I will have to raise prices soon as I cannot afford to harvest enough of my own resources.

I also sell by singles in the cantina. Everything in my vendor is available in the cantina, plus about 5-10 of each other food as RP substance. I have yet to restock the bartender and I filled him 3 weeks ago.

simply put, no.

Crates are required

people wont buy singles in bulk due to the sheer amount of inventory room they take up.

and unless its in bulk its pretty much useless considering the short duration of our buffs.

That doesn't answer the question though.

If you could only sell singles, can you sell enough of them in a week to pay your overhead and make a worthwhile profit? That is the question that was asked. In this also has to be considered the extra time involved and logistical issues that would occur.

As stated by many others singles will not do it. Crates are a requirement.

I'm not sure I could make a living with just singles with food stacks and durations at what they are now.

I can't make a living through singles for the basic reason that people as a whole want a deal. If this deal means having to buy in bulk, then so be it. Playersdo not buy in singles

cheers!
