I don't know if I'm the only one, but I don't think that Chef buffs should be portable Master Doctor/Master Entertainer buffs. I can't see why WE have to be the class that gives out huge stat buffs. I'm content with passable stat buffs (+400 to a stat is NOT insignificant) and skill buffs. If some elite combat professions think that our stat buff sucks, great. They'll miss out. I personally think Vasarian Brandy is better than BoH ever was, even though the new BoH can buff Strength, Quickness, and Focus by 1000 if you take it enough.

Excuse me if I can't see why the changes suck. I think everyone else just isn't thinking about this hard enough. Just my 2 creds.

yes, you can buff 1000 with the new breath of heaven. however it requires *four* stacks of breath of heaven to do this. It will last for 11 mins and you wont be able todrink again for another 34 mins if the 45 min idea is correct or 49 mins if the 1hr stomach is correct. 34 mins of no buffing to have 11 minutes of a good buff which took 4 stacks of drink to get? Id rather have my 550-600 buff thats 20 use per stackthat I can continuously keep buffed with any day over that.

Brandy is the only buff I see that is even in the same ballpark as the buffs we currently have and it still has downtime unless you are content with a lesser buff. And is roughly 4 uses less per stack than our current drinks. Altho Im not sure that the smaller stack on this is a bad thing since its lasts twice as long as other...that seems about right consider consumption rate wise. Tho the stack of old BoH compared to new BoH is horribly wrong. Old BoH Ive seen come out in stacks up up to 36 if made with alcohol. Now the stacks will be 1?

Raids and especially faction base raids last well over 11 minutes. Ive seen some go on for 2 hours (well did not actually see it because I logged but friends told me it was still going on after I left). So yes the digestion is a problem in pvp. In hunting and in pvp duels it may be easy to go around the digestion, but thats not all this game has to offer. Food needs to be looked at for all player needs.

In case you havent noticed all of the master foods are 1 use.

Yes chefs tend to charge by use. But chefs also have to cover their resources. I currently charge credits per use on BOH and capped the price at 4k. So you are saying that the price of new BOH should be 300 credits since its one use. Nevermind it uses 100 resources withut an additive?

The worth of the food is going down. The food will become more more expensive, and doubly so if we "have" to use an additive to make it worthwhile. Our customer is getting much much much less buff for his money.

See the other thread for the comparison about breath of heaven. I answered your question very thoroughly there about the difference that you think is so small.

Coming from a 1,2,2,2 chef who has been playing the entire game for a month and has never made anything you are talking about and only sales according to you 2 things. I have to wonder why you are going on and on about something you have no experience with.

Perhaps you should consider asking your customers if they prefer their crates with 25 servings or 475 servings and see what they say.Fact:Its less buff. Fact: Itsless servings Fact:Its more work

Opinion : its less buff and less servingswith more work involved, therefore it is considerablyless than what we have now.The word nerf certainly hops to my mind. And I have to admit after doing the comparison on the old and the new.Ido think the old is maybe a little overpowered (man thats hard to say). But I think the end result should be a lot more middle of the road than what it is on test.

Thanks guys for backing me up with some positivity here.

Again, these are things that have not been worked out to their fullest extent and people are jumping all over it to say what? It sucks, I haven't tried it but I know it sucks? As to my argument posted above which was half assed disassembled by someone who couldn't seem to differentiate between block and dodge, which in the initial statement I never mentioned block, and the dodge stat has been experimented up to 25 or 30 I belive, not the 5 that was mentioned.

I am a dosh Pikeman/Carbineer...YOU do your research and YOU decide if I know about special useage costs. I work the everliving outta Fishack and Muon, I'll still drop faster than anyone out there. Buffed TKM will go through his mind pool constantly spamming moves in the time it takes me to drop it once, take a fishack, drop it again take a muon and drop it a third time. You guys are still complaining about not being able to solo high end content. Only five usefull foods now? DoT redux, DMG redux, Downer redux, stat enhancers, some great pet foods, Drinks for medics, for entertainers, drinks to affect experimentation? The list is stickied up top, read it.

The idea is simple, and was recounted by the devs awhile back. It was never the intention to allow combat professions to sit there and simply spam their moves. Hence the heavy toll it takes now, but some can't seem to figure that out. So the devs need to change the whole combat system to keep people from crying. In an effort to wean myself off the heavy mind buffs as of late I've done alot of soloing and halved my special usage. My survivability has increased. I've actually seen some impressive numbers above and beyond what I would have thought just off the auto attack.

This is not a relearning, this is learning it in the first place. Find a more efficiant T21. Put that damm laser carb away, unless it's a krayt it's really not worth it. We've been pampered up to this point, really we have. Personally I likes it rough.

It all comes back to this. Within a few weeks you guys will have toolbars filled with all types of different foods, you will eat em, you will be looking for a master dancer. You will have down time, BRING BACK THE DAYS OF SETTING CAMP. You will sit around the camp fire, replacing the items on your toolbar and listening to a Waltz while everyone talks a gang of **edit**. Invision, this is your life. It's a bottom line, I personally would figure how to use it all to your advantage instead of taking the time to attempt proof that yes indeed, it will be difficult to solo creatures that are intended to be difficult to kill. We all know this already. Give me all the equations, all the scenarios, anything and everything and yes...High end content will no longer be a cake walk. I still marvel at the idea of going out and being able to hunt rancors without a medic. But I guess you just need to look at the whole picture. We knew there would be some imbalance for a period of time while all the changes catch up with themselves. Nothin left to say...

Whoops, I mean I accept your critism of the new chef revamp. However, as a chef on currently on TC testing these new buffs, I'll have to disagree with you on a few points:

The skill buffs (Such as +10 Block for 15min) are significant. This is equivalent to having 2 extra levels of Rifleman block tree. And doubles the block rating of a novice rifleman. &5 resistance to Knockdown is also very useful for PvP.

These are both useless, are you a rifleman? Consider..

Which is more useful, a food that cuts your HAM costs in half (takes 220 for a hs3 and now it takes 110 MIND (unhealable pool)) or some crapass food that gives you +10 to block that doesn't even work correctly. This is a tough choice indeed.

Now lets consider again..when people use KD on you and it doesn't work, it can be spammed again, it has no failure timer, so what do I want more +5 to defense where I might stay on my feet a little longer or +500 mind where the TKA might have a harder time killing me on my ass, and if I'm on my ass I just spam /stand ; /melee2handheadhit3 (or whatever the command is) and it doesn't even matter if your knocked down, you just might take a little more damage.

From my second hand accounts (what people have told me) the defensive buffs are quite significant, and could change the outcome of many battles.

The stats of good Vasarian brandy will be +200 to Mind, Focus and Willpower for 45 minutes. There is a possibility of drinking 3 of these at a time, so you will have 600 buff to mind, as well as mind regen. Once the combat revamp goes thorugh (publish #7) this will be even more effective.

Sounds nice, I assume it'll be nerfed.

I'm not trying to be rude. But give it a bit of a chance before you cry NERF.

So what you really mean is embrace the nerfage of stat buffs because its coming and hope that the skill buffs proove usefull? *laugh* As much as I disagree with you on a lot of things...I think I will agree that that is probably true. Tho i still dont like it hehe

Honestly, if you can't function with around +500 or so to ALL of the Mind stats, you're doing something wrong. I simply can't see why someone would need that much pool, unless you do 700 specials while wearing full composite.

I know self-reliant players in the game now that play just like that. 2 ryshcate, a BoH, and they spam the most powerful stuff they've got while wearing full-composite armor. They are upset at the new changes.

Do they have a right to be? I don't know, they might be too powerful as of now.

Does that mean they aren't angry? No Way.

I'm not even talkign wearing composite. Its so blatantly obvious none of you have played one of the combat professions that draws heavily from the mind pool. For instance with a T21 and using stafe2 with 900!!!! focus, the move takes 124 mind any move for that matter takes aroudn that. To get that down to a managable level you need 1400-1500 focus. Carbineers, Swordsman, Pikemen all have weapons/specials that draw HEAVILY from mind pools. It simply isnt possible to use these period without having these food buffs.

like i keeps saying if they have 900 focus they should stat migrate they cants just relay on food for PVP. and if they do thats not very smart i know a guy that has everything migrated over to mind and unless hes tanking he does fine(he always is Doctor buffed by the way) people need to understand that Mind isnt all....

Quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Do you pvp? If you did you would know that people dedicated to it migrate most if not all their stats to mind and still have a dependancy upon food. I have all my stats in my mind and I still can't play without food because my specials cost that much.

I guess the first line is true, you can't relay on food for pvp, I don't mind staring at the clone center ceiling.
