Thread: Chefs my heart goes out to you (unfortunatly my credits wont anymore)
Anyone who has played this game for more than 2 hours knows that you might as well "fall back" on magic pixie dust. I can put food in my backpack and rely on its availability ... I can go days without finding a master entertainer to buff mind pool. You think there will be more entertainers after hologrinding ends?

Nice
Whoops, I mean I accept your critism of the new chef revamp. However, as a chef on currently on TC testing these new buffs, I'll have to disagree with you on a few points:
The skill buffs (Such as +10 Block for 15min) are significant. This is equivalent to having 2 extra levels of Rifleman block tree. And doubles the block rating of a novice rifleman. &5 resistance to Knockdown is also very useful for PvP.
From my second hand accounts (what people have told me) the defensive buffs are quite significant, and could change the outcome of many battles.
The stats of good Vasarian brandy will be +200 to Mind, Focus and Willpower for 45 minutes. There is a possibility of drinking 3 of these at a time, so you will have 600 buff to mind, as well as mind regen. Once the combat revamp goes thorugh (publish #7) this will be even more effective.
I'm not trying to be rude. But give it a bit of a chance before you cry NERF.
Um, how can we ask an entertainer to accompany us when they're all AFK in the cantina? Don't get me wrong though, I love entertainer buffs when I can get 'em.

Well, stop for a moment and think about why you can't find any master entertainers. When was the last time you grouped up for a hunt and asked an entertainer to accompany you for an equal share of the loot so you could get buffed up whenever needed? Thought so.

I mean to say "if stomach decay is reduced to HALF an hour." Also, I'd just like to point out that Sunburns ARE a best seller. Not THE best, but they are one of the top 5.
And if you REALLY need 1500+ focus to be a Rifleman, you are, again, doing something wrong. My guild leader is a Master CH/Rifleman, and he's NOTHING but excited over all the new Chef stuff.

I'm not even talkign wearing composite. Its so blatantly obvious none of you have played one of the combat professions that draws heavily from the mind pool. For instance with a T21 and using stafe2 with 900!!!! focus, the move takes 124 mind any move for that matter takes aroudn that. To get that down to a managable level you need 1400-1500 focus. Carbineers, Swordsman, Pikemen all have weapons/specials that draw HEAVILY from mind pools. It simply isnt possible to use these period without having these food buffs.

I guess being a Rifleman means spamming Strafe2 for you, huh? And yes, I am a Rifleman who usually doesn't even use *any* buffs at all (except if you call weapon powerups buffs). I can still solo red mobs and for PvP it is all a matter of picking the right targets with the right specials
Don't blame other people for being lazy or unimaginative
I think this is what the Dev's want to encourage. You're not supposed to be able to solo krayt's, pick your fights, pick your specials, and pick them well.

As a master Pikegirl, I beg to differ. I certainly do use food and drinks, since I have my very own personal master chef, but it certainly is possible to use the pike with all of its specials with no food or drink. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes you even *gasp* rest for a minute, but it's far from impossible. If you want to be dramatic about other weapons, I haven't a clue and you can say what you like, but pike I know.
