Whether it's intentional or not, you have to stack swirl with garmorrl or canape with brandy (or won-won with accarragm). It works pretty well that way... IMO the best combo is Canape/Brandy since the canape gives the highest health buff out of the 3 (and garmorrl just sucks).

Well I'm not really sure what to think--I made a few runs of various foods after the CU waited to see how they sold then proceededto create player specific food pacs Ie crafting , ranged etc. Conting all the best foods for that profession line.

So now I have tons of foods that combined great and worked well for my customers and now this.

As far as many of the foods being Artisan foods they still rewuire good ingredients to make good foods not to mention Bios.

I'm not overly concerned about money, but I do get concered when I have to lower my prices so drasticaly yet still have to pay 30 or 40 CPU for meat and 4-6 cpu for organics

There has to be more balance created somewhere but is this really the way to do it???

Do the Devs have unemployment insurance for us to collect while we learn a new profesion?

Why would you have to lower your prices drastically? With so many people leaving the profession you can probably raise your prices.

There is a lot of rumors going around about buff stacking after patch 17. I did one test and here is what I know.

Neutorn Pixie spice still works fine. +20% health and action regen.

Foods YES will stack on top of spice.
I stacked the following with no trouble:

Crispic+67 melee accruacy +40 ragend accuracy
Vegasparine +98 melee defense
Tetlier Noodles +179 health (on top of spice health buff) +100 action regen.
Elshandruu +98 ranged defense
All of these stacked fine with neutron too.

[Final stats +20% health +179 on top
+98 melee defense
+98 ranged defense
+67 melee accurracy
+40 ranged accuracy]

What Did NOT work is stacking any food or drink with the same buff to health. For example
Tetlier Noodles +179 health
add vagnerian canape +147 to health
EQUALS only +147 health, the last food overrides all earlier food with the same stat.

The new way to stack is to use foods that have ability modifiers like ranged defense or accuracy.

I did already mention this already i think sum1 else did too however try testing food regen alone then try testing spice alone tell me which 1 u prefer to
use (never thought food buff regen worked tbh) besides its not the skill mods we r talking about really its the regen foods. as for skill mods foods *thumbs up* i think they are gr8.perhaps they wanted chef to concentrate mostly on these and not ham buffs as we alrdy have doc buffs and spice. its just a thought.

This is absolutely unnecessary. With any profession I've tried (Rifleman, Carbineer, Jedi) I cannot keep my action up for anything. It was barely manageable even when we could stack foods... Coming from a Chef and avid combat player, this is a huge nerf that was completely unnecessary. They better address lowering the damn action costs if this is the way things are going to stay. I know chef will still be fine and we'll still have plenty of items to sell... that i'm not worried about... but the action costs in this game are beyond ridiculous.

20%???

this means that any stats with Breath of Heaven over 400 are a waste of time. Gathering the resoures to make the high numbers was a waste of time.

Also puts Jedi a bit further out of reach in PvP.

Way to go devs.

And to think i was starting to enjoy chef again

Pre-CU sabers have action costs now, effectively making LS one of the worst (if not the worst) combat profession. Also, that 200 or 20% refers just to regen stats, not health stats. There is no food, to my knowledge that will buff any regen higher than that, except maybe that karkan ribenes stuff.

considering that foods and drinks already had built in limitations with "filling", I don't see the need to limit consumption to a single item for a given effect.

if the overall intention of this "fix" is to correct the gobble all the spices problem, wouldn't it have made more sense to add a "brain fill" line to go with the food and drink stomach limits and just assign a filling to each of the various spices? that way, spice consumption would be limited much the same way that food and drink filling are supposed to be

... this is so lame. I want to be able to drink my brandy and mandalorian wine and get my action regeneration bonuses!

Hell guys you all sound like Non Stat stacking is a good idea.

Tell that so someone who spent over 3mill on food that is utterly ussles to them.

Also its not like the extra !00 or so health/Action that i can only get now, is going to be of any use to me anyway.

As specially whn most NPC's hit in the 1000's. I think its crap.

In the old system, I could take two types of food for each stat to last for 45min. All up i would get around an extra 250 Health/action.

Hardly worth taking the food anyway, now its efectively halved, unless i take a completely full backpack, of little 30sec buff foods & brak my concentration every 330 sec in combat to take them.

Sorry guys, but i am not going to be buying any more food of any type in theis game, I'm better off with out them!

As long as foods buff, people will buy them. It's that simple.
Your ability to make money is still alive and well, just mabey not 15 million a day.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You sir are wrong...!!

If I take a swig od Caf to boost my Health / Action Regen, I then cannot take Teltier Noodles or Kanali Wafers (this means i will not buy these productrs again), But I am able to take Blob Candy to Boost my Action Regen & Bofa Treats to Boost my Health Regen.

But because I cannot take Teltier Noodles or Kanali Wafers with them, the ammount of Extra Health/Action/Mind i get from those i can take, is not much. Hardly enough to help me take on a jedi...or even a Post CU Nuna for that matter.

I'm not going to pay 120k - 200k for a4 crates of food that give me little more than 150 or so in buff. Thats not even worth having, that pissy ammount of extra health & regen won't save my life.

SO i will no longer even bother with food at all, not even the foods to boost Ranged & Dodge & such, cause i won't be needing them. As the CU is ATM, i will be restricting my game play to Lvl 30 NPC's & creatures & will not be doing any PvP at all against Jedi.

I am not alone in this... I have seem a few BH in here Saying the same stuff.

SO don't fool yourselves, You are going to lose your entire customer base.., It's easier for BH's to Group & Gank a Jedi without these weak, pathetic buffsrather than settle for a tiny ammount of unstackable food buffs & walk into Ceartain death.
