I've just had it confirmed to me that the way that HAM buff stackis now, is the way it will remain. But i've also had some information about the way foods now interact.
Now HAM stats will not be buffable above 20% of its base stat, which means limitations have to be put on the Ham buffing foods to ensure that they don't unbalance gameplay.
Foods will stack or stomp over some other foods stats to make it so you can eat some foods that overlap in stats. I've not got all the infomation on how this will work, but it sounds like food combinations will still be possible. Just not to the potentially unbalancing nature it could without the limitations.
As of now, i'm not best please, but this is the situation we find ourselves, the devs are stead fast about not letting buffs getting out of hand like they previously were. Please be patient, and try not to jump conclusions, until we have all the infomation.
If I understand this right as I would like to see it like this is if you have ...
Food A = +10% HR and +20% AR
Food B = +20% HR and +10% AR
if you ate both of them you would then have +20% AR and HR as the higher one would overlap. I hope it turns out like that.
I don't know if this is your section either being the chef cor, but I would love to be able to open up my character sheet and see what my food buffs are at say put 120% where the 100% is if the above case was true.
I would hope that is the way it would work also, it would give us more room for manuerver.
And i'm really not sure on a UI stuff, but i'll ask.
you killled chef very well like some other profs too
you realize you kill yourself with it ? no one play no one pay.......figure it out soon...
i am happy i respecced my CHEF-BE to some usefull...........
believe it or not CHEF IS DEAD by the Devs and by player like me who dont eat your stuff not with jedi not with alt its too gimped sry ill stick to some art stuff with 50+ minutes and you chefs try cooking better to get me back to your products
If they want a hard cap, they need to remove filling and replace it with a buff/regen UI. Or if they insist on dumbing down the game, why not make 2 foods, one buffs health, the other buffs health regen. Then make 2 drinks, one buffs action, the other buffs action regen. Or make it even easier, one food buffs health and health regen and one drink buffs action and action regen Or even better, one meal that buffs everything. Or why not just give everyone an extra 20% to health and health regen and not even need food.
Basically by not allowing food stacking and providing a hard cap, you are going to be looking at cookie cutter foods/buffs. Everyone will find the combination of 2 foods that provide the best health/action benefits and that will be it.
They should have just balanced out the filling values and stomach timer. That would have put a limit on stacking that actualy made sense.

Hmm.... kinda like doc buffs now all being the same. Now everyone will have the same exact doc buff (supposing that they have a doc handy every 40 min, wich IMO is retarded buff length) and pretty close to the same food buffs... (same foods, just difference in a few points due to resources) plus a Nuetron Pixie or Muon Gold.
So, we are all being equalized... bit by bit...
-charecter stats- no more migrations... everyone is the same
-Doc buffs- all the same
-Foods- going to use mostly the same stuff for pretty much all the same bonuses
-spice- Only one or two spices to be used now... muon for docs and pixie for others
-weps- with everyone running around with these Kashyyyk reward weapons, dps is pretty much regulated
-weps2- when making weps, there are now hard caps on damage/speed
-armor- because of diminishing returns layerd armor isn't that great... especially when considering the weaknesses
-Slices- not determined randomly anymore, but apparently based on damage/speed caps
-spices- with no overlapping spices... one less way to differentiate your abilities
So now everyone is the same. We'll have to get FS to have an edge... and since Jedi will have the edge over everyone (not that they shouldn't... but perhaps not as much) we'll all have to be Jedi.

I stacked the following with no trouble:
Vegasparine +98 melee defense
Tetlier Noodles +179 health (on top of spice health buff) +100 action regen.
Elshandruu +98 ranged defense
All of these stacked fine with neutron too.
+98 melee defense
+98 ranged defense
+67 melee accurracy
+40 ranged accuracy]
What Did NOT work is stacking any food or drink with the same buff to health. For example
Tetlier Noodles +179 health
add vagnerian canape +147 to health
EQUALS only +147 health, the last food overrides all earlier food with the same stat.

Try taking the Caf first?
Here is an example that illustrates the problem with the latest changes:Kiwik (+263 health, +200 action regen) and Vasarian brandy (+406 health regen, +200 action regen, and +50 mind regen).
If you take the brandy first, you can't eat the Kiwik, even though the Kiwik would give you a health buff that the brandy doesn't give you.
If you eat the Kiwik first, and then drink the brandy, the brandy overrides the Kiwk, and you loose the Kiwik's health buff, even though the Brandy doesn't give you a health buff.
