I know this has been asked, but what will happen to the current foods we have in crates? Will they convert into the new foods or will they be unuseable? I spent a lot of money on crated food orginally to last for a long time.

I know this has been asked, but there is no advantage whatsoever to the pre CU clothing attachments of Dancing Mind Enhancement and Musical Mind Enhancement? These will be renrered worthless?

I know this has definatly been asked several times, but I don't see a sticky for it. The Attachments that we have, like for example my ubese armor belt has a +14 or so of Carbine Speed will these attachments that makes us speed and accuracy capped go down in flames? I spent 2 some million for the carbine speed attachment and more on several others, this also goes with the questions such as the point attachments, like my friend being a 12 point master Chef, are these attachments considered worthless after the CU? I would really appreciate an answer from anyone who knows for sure. Thanks.

There is supposed to be something coming to replace performance mind enhancement, so we assume the skill mod will be changed to apply to this something... Inspiration replaces mind wound healing....

They did say that a +25 mind enhancement tape would help you apply the buff faster. But, I do hope it ends up being useful in another way as well. I mean, people, whether they are bots or live, have spent MILLIONS of credits on these things. Me? I only have up to +7 and I can't afford to spend that kind of money. And, I got a really good deal, only cost me 250K for them total. But, even so, it's still quite the hit in the pocketbook for little old me and it's kind of annoying that so much money has been spent and all it seems to be doing so far is making the new buffs apply more quickly.

Can you get me a clicky to this statement? I'm pretty sure that only the wind wound healing mod is supposed to apply to the Inspiration buff...

Sure it'll be good. Here's a few things to consider:

1. Specials can be used across professions now, so it doesn't matter if you pick up a ranged or melee profession, the specials apply to what you're holding.

2. TKA handles armor differently then everyone else. (unarmed toughness verses armor cert). Consider that and do some research on the TKA boards before making your decision.

3. Don't forget Master Brawler as an option.

I'm still playing around and trying to learn, but so far I'm thinking Master Pikeman, Master Brawler, Swordsman dabbler, the rest somewhere else entirely like medic.

Well, after reading this over, I realize it doesn't specify what kind of skill tapes. So, as far as I know, they didn't say whether it would be mind wound healing or mind enhancement.

Not so good at the clicky, but here's a quote:

What is an Inspiration Buff and how long can it last?

Inspiration Buffs are the replacement for Mind Buffing post Combat Upgrade. Inspiration buffs will increase one's crafting successes, faction gains and XP gains. All Inspiration Buffs will have the same effect regardless of whether they come from a Novice Entertainer or a Master Dancer. This means that an Inspiration Buff from a Novice Entertainer and Master Dancer will be the same. The maximum duration of an inspiration buff will be 3 hours. The time it takes to get to this maximum will depend on the entertainer's skill level. A novice entertainer may take a minute to give you a 30 minute inspiration, but the same minute spent with a double master dancer/musician with +25 skill tapes will yield a 3 hour buff in that same minute. The buff is a steady application and not in the old system chunks'. There will be no artificial time listened' breakpoints that have to be met for certain gains. It will be a simple system of the longer you listen the more buff time you will get, up to a maximum of 3 hours. You can even leave an entertainer's session and come back to resume the buff increase without having to start over. (I.e. if you got an hour buff and then had to go to a bazaar terminal for a bit, when you return the buffing session would start from whatever you have currently.)

Insp. is supposed to be replacing MWH (this is probably partly the reason that novice Ents. can Inspire), sohopefully the corresponding skill mod will be switched over too.... They have not said this directly yet that I know of, so it would be good for us to keep it fresh in their minds. : )

Well because we can no longer switch armor after combat has been intiated with the CU, I'm not gonna do tka at all, because of the armor issue, so I only have 2 suggestions,

m.pikeman, m. fencer, m.brawler

m.pikeman, m. swordsman, m.brawler (which im doing myself)

I guess a more specific question is... After all upgrades/changes are done...will there even be a "10 point" or "12 point chef"? Will they even allow the ability to do 12 points or will they make it so everyone has 10 points with no chance of getting more to keep things in BALANCE?

It'd force chefs to always look for great resources and maybe spend exp in new ways to make their food a little better than the next guy.

That would be the only thing that would keep a good chef from being a great chef..and it would be totally up to the chef to do it.. Not a bad idea actually..but still.. I'd hate to see it happen for those of us who have spent cash on tapes etc...but for chefs that can't/haven't or don't plan on trying, this would be a way to balance things and make the playing field even.

Guess i'll just wait and see...
