Is it possible she got lucky? Perhaps.

It's also possible my friend got unlucky. The sample size was certianly small enough. except for one thing... my friend actually had a buff for below the minimum, which is pretty strong evidence something is wrong. Perhaps you could ask your friend to note her results, and see if Tempari ever allows her to buff past her normal maximum, proving that it works?

Hoping to extend the range of my survey tool, I made some "Chandad" with +18 to survey and it didn't appear to do anything except increase my displayedskill value. I wasn't able to extend the range on my survey tool and I didn't noticeany difference in /sampling. I had people with varying levels in survey try as well and none of them were able to increase their survey tool range either, nor did they notice any difference in /sample and the percentages they could sample from.

Might be worth looking in to to see if it's working properly.

Tyler, to my knowledge Chefs are the only class for which missing stats work this way.

Unfortunately not.

I'm afraidit works this way for Doc, CM and WS to to my sure knowledge.

Missing stats on resource = value of 1 substitued = crap results.

I've noticed that many food items remain on your buff meterafter you die and clone. I've tried using Air Cake, Synthsteak, Spice Tea, Vasarian Brandy, and a few other foods, and in most cases, I'm unable to eat the food again after cloning because the buff still registers on my meter. Air Cake, especially, seems to stay for a long time after deathbefore disappearing, perhaps up to its full duration, and I'm typically unable to have aeat moreeven if there's room in my stomach and I've just been killed.

So it's not my stomach that's preventing me from eating in many cases, it's the fact that the buff is still registering on the meter even though I died and supposedly reset it.

While making Vesarian Brandy, I noticed I could drop a Light additive in the Medium additive slot.

Bug or intended?

Intended, you can put any smaller additive into a slot (ie heavy slot will take all three, medium slot will take medium and light only, and light slot will only take light)

Excellant, I did not think that the Devs would consciously be that nice to us.

Because of the way surveying skill works, I believe you would need at least a +25 to actually be able to increase your range. But it should increase your sampling results.

Chandad works quite well for me, but it doesn't wear off properly.

With survey 3, I can set my tools to 192m range max. After eating a +10 Chandad, I can set my tools to 256m range. Also the minimum concentration needed to sample goes down by a few percent - I often get the trace-amounts message when I sample something around 12% concentration, eat one Chandad and pull up a sample in the same spot after.

The bug comes when the Chandad wears off - my survey tools continue to function at the 256m range. I only ever need to use more Chandad to sample the lower concentrations.

Pre-combined components ARE making a difference. *glower*

Making Vasarian Brandy, decent quality fruit and berries, I was noticing a shift between quantity 18 and quantity 21 on the initial combine. Messed with the casks for ages before I finally got it:

Use "Alcohol" and get quantity 18

Use "Kylessian Fruit Distillate" and get quantity 21

Thought this wasn't supposed to be the case anymore.

(annoyed because she wasted her remaining stocks of Distillate on messing around)

Aitha is bugged. When you have mind wounds and drink until it hits the place on your mind stat where the wounds are..instant incap.

Not only that, if you happen to quaf Aitha while on a Muon Gold downer, you actually have the value of the intended heal **subtracted** from your mind pool.

  • 1000 Mind natural

  • 1500 Mind with Muon for 10 minutes.

  • 500 Mind with the Muon downer for 3 minutes.

  • 380 Mind while on the Muon downer if I consumeone shot of Aitha with a heal value of 120.

  • 260 if you do it again, and so on. Didn't test to see if this would incap.

  • Normally at the expiration of the downer, you get a 500 point mind heal. I was hoping that I'd get back the Aithapoints that were so buggishly taken from me. Didn't.

There is a Chef drink that heals mind also, I can't recall the name, and I have not tested that (I'm not a Chef, just a Master Artisan). Some of you may want to test that also.

Edit: Just tested. It *will* incap. On the downer, take enough Aitha, down you go. Also, the numbers I give above aren't so cut and dried. The Aitha I'm using to test with has a heal value of 148. Each time I consumed an Aitha while downered, my combat tab shows the following:

"You feel refreshed. 148 points of mind damage have been healed."

However, not only was I not healed, but the damage I took wasn't even equal to 148, like I thought on first noticing it. Damage #'s floating above my head were, on 4 trys:

  • -91

  • -178

  • -348

  • -243

I can't explain why the damage I took varied so widely, but those are the numbers.

Sorry, but you are mistaken.

If that stat is missing, a 1 is substituted. SV or other chefs here will be happy to provide better examples, but this is a fact. That is why every single combine using bone and or hide is garbage in comparison.

this deserves a hotfix patch. this bug is KILLING our supply and buff possibilities...
