We the consumer (I was going to pl chef for the revamp, but have decided against it), feel like the new stats buffs are inadequate in level of buff and in choices, particularily disturbing is the level of filling and fill timer for the few that sound remotely possible. Skill modifiers are far too low or not long lasting to be useful either.

Do we have a final word yet on if the resources of the components have any effect. Does it matter if I use garbage or caviar? The loss of experimentation for me means loss of personalization of my product.
If components are all created equally, there is very little manuevering room to be a good chef or a mediocre chef. They will be pretty close to the same I fear. But again, Ive not played with the stuff on test yet so maybe Im wrong but it seems that way. Tho I do understand what you are saying about experimentation SV. Perhaps if they made the final outcome of the component be treated by the system in a way similar to theflavorings.

If component experimentation isn't brought back, then BE comps become the real trump card in the cheffing industry. I agree with Nikii in that the range of food quality will definatley narrow. This is great for customers, but generally bad for chefs that cook with a lot of pride (ok, i've got cooking images of grandeur).

Would it be too much to ask to just have milk be 'milk' and not divide it into different varieties? We already have to collect loads of resources, milk is still going to be difficult to get and drive our food prices up.

Looks like you nailed the big points Sir Vimes.

The stomach issue is a big one and I have to agree with a previous poster by saying that even 30 minutes is too long. It's a bit silly to place any type of restriction like that once the benefit wears off...at a maximum filling should match buff duration. Anything longer and you may as well add a downer...

Based on the information provided here in this forum, there are a lot of reasons to not like the initial pass of this revamp. With luck, the devs will actually come back from vacation in browntown and recognize that they can't pass off a half-thought and rushed revamp and either fix the shortcomings of the revamp or push it back and keep it on test until publish 7.

Of course...I just got back into the swing of things today...what do I know...

The buffs we are getting are just notpunchy enough. Because of this, there is no real, significant change in the position that chef occupies in the SWG world. We don't have a renewed profession. We have swapped one set of buffs for another. I didn't wait since last summer for this.

That, for me, is the beginning and the end of the story.

The rest is just bugs to fixed.

Which I only mention, again, SV, because nowhere in your report did you mention that some of us are questioning whether or not these buffs, both stat and skill, are powerful enough. A change to the stomach time will erase some of that concern, but not all. Especially in the case of skill buffs which, if I understand correctly, are not stackable - and most of which are not really significant as they stand.

Proper bonafide purty decorative multi-tiered wedding cake! (Especially after them making all that Friday-feature fuss about player events & player weddings)

It's important to me and I'd like you to add that they need to keep the popular chef foods the same and to not change them. These changes are NOT what most chefs want.

Know what would make me happy? Ok probably not, but here goes anyways.

I would love the chef profession AS IS on the live servers, if we had milk, and new graphics. That's it. That's not asking alot. That's already in this "revamp". Leave everything else the same until the combat changes, so we don't suffer alone until they are implemented. There is no excuse to cut 30 schematics of ours out of our cookbooks.

I guess my main gripe is having things *taken away* from my cookbook. Don't take away the schematics, I'll enjoy the new graphics, and down any changes to food stats/buffs/bonuses and adapt to them.

P.S. And fix all that other stuff to keep theother chefs happy too I doubt they'd be opposed to getting our "lost" schematics back.

Right now, I pretty sure no.

But I disagree with that one.

Let's compromise a little more and try to find a figure for stomach decay that would induce the minimum amount of account cancellations.

I propose 15 minutes.

I really really think it should be 0 minutes for stat buffs and 15 minutes for skill buffs or x for x number of turns. The problem is that if there is a digestion, it will almost "force" us to experiment on duration to try to beat the digestion. Some customers like all points on buff size and the rest on quantity, others buff size and then duration. Digestion would only limit the new experimentation method. I really really hope the DEVs reconsider this, it is definately my biggest concern.
