I total agree in that we should be provided supplies if they want us to grind out a proffession. Its something they can easily do but choose not too. You might want to bring this up to them and TH.

SirVimes do you know, or can you comment on the charater copy? Is this going to be an option? are they thinking about it? Should we give up all hope on it and start trying to figure out how to get a master chef in a few weeks from scratch? Are they gonna help us with resources so we can powergrind and get carpel tunnel?(again)

I saw your forum on the TC and it doesnt look like there are but maybe 2-5 master chefs on the TC at least that have responded or people know about. Surely they are going somehow get more MC on the TC to test these major class changing adjustments.

I wouldnt care if they deleted my charater on the TC after the chef patch goes live, I just hope that they allow a much larger testing of these changes at high levels (MC) and not just go off what 2 people give them at that level and what a few other lower level chefs say.

Thanks for your hard work. I keep an eye on several professions and I have to say your prolly one of the most active, helpful and caring correspondents out there.

I am not up to date on the character copy as I should be. It will be going in, I believe, but it might not go in on time to test the new chef stuff.

I am going to ask about helping us with resources, but from past experience I kinda doubt it.

Yeah, this is what I am most worried about.

SirVimes, if they want to do it right and character copy is not in place, they need to pick about 5 serious testers and give them master chef/master artisan and stacks of resources(high/medium/low quality too)to create with, possibly even a few food factories with enough power/maint to last for a few weeks. After those few weeks, wipe the character. If they don't want to do this or character copy, then they just aren't serious about thoroughly testing this at high levels in any real number. From what I have heard, resources are even harder to get on the test center. How are we supposed to do APPROPRIATE testing if we can't even get all the resources we need for testing. I don't want them coming back and saying "Well, you guys tested this out and didn't say anything. You're stuck with it" when we couldn't even make the schematic.

I agree, If they want this tested correctly then we need to be very vocal. Let them know that we want to test this, but we need help to be able to test it and that anything less than a good testing effort is not going to be acceptable. We have suffered through 6 months of proof that S*#(ty testing leads to S*#($ty results. If they think people are going to waste weeks to get a charater up to a master chef for a little testing, then they are crazy. Besides all that, I seriously doubt anyone can take a novice with a few newbie melons a Cdef, and 500 credits and have a master chef in 3 weeks. If you can then your main charater/chef is going to suffer and/or you just got waaaaay too much time on your hands

Oh yeah, we may also want to see if they can do the same thing with a few BEs that want to help us test the new additives. Nothing like giving the BEs something that doesn't work again. Or something that requires resources that don't spawn in any real quantity(*cough* milk *cough* seafood *cough*). I would be willing to give up a few weekends if they want to test this thoroughly(As I'm sure about 100 other people would be willing to do). If anyone can give more time than that, they need those slots. I'll let my real character suffer some inattention if it means we can be a fully functional, useful, and unique profession in the very near future.

I am now a novice Chef on TC and have gotten enough xp for my first box. I only have 2 farms and 1 wind gen going at the moment.

To make money I do crafting missions in bestine and anchor and back.

I should gain about 1 box every 3-4 days at the rate I am able to play on TC. Hope they implement the new buffs soon

Ok, the family time penance has been done, now I can spend the next couple weeks just playing SWG without that silly distraction "work"

I'd like to introduce TC's newest novice artisan heading for chef: Patot Panak.

Now if I can just find someplace on Theed selling harvesters...

Don't bother with theed. Head to New Unity (player city). It seems to be the place where most of the players congregate on Naboo. Plus, it seems there is always a dancer at the cantina to help with those pesky battle fatigue points.

I'd just like to let testcenters helpers know that there's a chat channel set up for chefs to share resources/ideas/information. It's a little quiet right now, but it's there regardless.

I just got novice, and I'm trying my hardest to get a fusion generator and some medium harvestors to get the grind going. Money's tight for everyone on TC, so missions are the only reliable way to make money.

I'll be as generous as I can be to fellow chefs, so keep your eyes open on the Chef channel.

Not giving people CC is like saying you can test-drive a car, but you have to assemble it yourself.

No way I would move over to TC for that, especially since I'm still grinding to MC on my regular character.

To be honest, I am kinda worried about this. You are all right. I mean, I have a master on the test center and I am having trouble getting the resources I need.

But if this stuff is not tested....we may end up with a buggy system
