As mentioned before, this revamp (at least the new foods portion of it) should wait until the new HAM system goes live...either that or modify all the other buffers now as well. It's moronic (sorry but facts speak loudly for themselves) to make a change directly related to a new system before changing the system (sure one could argue modular programming models or staggered integration...but then those philosophies are designed for major system changes, not changes to a video game).

The problem here is that despite claims to the contrary, there will still be a core group of 5-10 foods that chefs make on a regular basis. A great many players will be penalized that relied on food to fill in the various cracks on their template. If they really have issue with the buffing that food does, fine...they should simply say it and nerf the buffs...don't hide it inside a revamp pretending to give us all these great new items which should have been in from the start. The changes won't make SWG more challenging in PvE or PvP...eliminating the ability to spam attacks will...and perhaps eliminating spamming may well make the new food have value...

heh this could go on for hours...time to stop now and see what happens when it goes live. If its bad, vote with your money, cancel your accound and reverse charges are far back as you can.

I would like to point out that the aforementioned Brandy should be all the Mind buff you need. +450 to Mind, Focus, and Willpower is Muon Gold with 3 times the duration.

If stomach decay is reduced to an hour, you'll be able to take MORE of the stuff as your stomach empties.

Honestly, if you can't function with around +500 or so to ALL of the Mind stats, you're doing something wrong. I simply can't see why someone would need that much pool, unless you do 700 specials while wearing full composite.

Also, do remember that stat buffs STACK WITH THEMSELVES. So you can take a bunch of +100 to some stats to get a decent buff going.

If you want portable Master Doctor buffs, you ain't getting it. End of story.

Do you even have an idea what you are talking about? Between this and the wow everyone should be excited over the new mind heals and suburns are a best seller, I kinda have the impression that you really dont have a foggy clue what is happening here.

I know self-reliant players in the game now that play just like that. 2 ryshcate, a BoH, and they spam the most powerful stuff they've got while wearing full-composite armor. They are upset at the new changes.

Do they have a right to be? I don't know, they might be too powerful as of now.

Does that mean they aren't angry? No Way.

I'm not even talkign wearing composite. Its so blatantly obvious none of you have played one of the combat professions that draws heavily from the mind pool. For instance with a T21 and using stafe2 with 900!!!! focus, the move takes 124 mind any move for that matter takes aroudn that. To get that down to a managable level you need 1400-1500 focus. Carbineers, Swordsman, Pikemen all have weapons/specials that draw HEAVILY from mind pools. It simply isnt possible to use these period without having these food buffs.

yah i agree all these +100's aren't gunna be enough. i mean all these +5 KD defence kind stats look good but they don't do squat.... i have +100 KD defence at the moment and it still only takes a TKM about 5 seconds to KD me. i used to eat a muon/2glucoses/a fishack and get my mind to like 3k.... at that point it took a master rifleman about10 seonds to incapp me with head shot 3. now with only like +100 buffs i'll be one shotted again in PvP... but its not all bad, i like some of these new foods a lot, like the dodge ones and the Xp and the crafting and the healing ones. i'm sure ppl will buy a crate of these once in a while, but they won't be in demand like they used to. so it has its ups and downs, we'll see how it turns out.... i didn't see sunburns on that list, i live off those, the only way to do dmg with a pistol is to spam specals after eating 2 sunburns.... there goes pistoleer...

like i keeps saying if they have 900 focus they should stat migrate they cants just relay on food for PVP. and if they do thats not very smart i know a guy that has everything migrated over to mind and unless hes tanking he does fine(he always is Doctor buffed by the way) people need to understand that Mind isnt all....
