Thread: How do you REALLY feel about recipes being re-balanced?
A doccan get 2.5 hour buffs, if they make them with the advanced components, which they can make themselves and don't have to rely on a bio-engineer.
Two words..... NO WAY
Ok I'm a man of few words, but this needs an explanation.
I became a Chef with the intention of becoming a Bartender, nothing more. Now changing the existing line up two months into the game is NOT an option. Adding different foods is the only option.
Moving or changing Sunburn is in no way a solution to this profession.
Enough said.
I am all for a re-balancing. Even if, as a soon to be novice chef my food will be next to useless, I think it will be that way anyway without the re-balancing.
Higher level food should be really, really good. I also think if Milk is going to be so rare it should make some really wonderful food buffs, but from the little I have seen posted on this board, it doesn't. Also we have too many foods that the buff is identical or really close to others.
That being said, I have been doing okay with sales in my area, even with my newbie food. It's taken a lot of free samples and schmoozing, but everything I put up on the bazaar seems to sell before the time is up. A few people have even made the journey over to my shop. There are people out there who realize the benefits of food, but at this point I think we are catering (pun intended) to a small group of highly educated players instead of the masses.

I didn't go up the Mixology tree, and I won't get there for another month or so, since I play fairly casually.
I would totally support them reorganizing and making everything much better, even if it meant cutting the effectiveness of Tatooine Sunburns by half or moving them up the tree. I wouldn't feel cheated or slapped.
I don't care how it's done, but the skill trees need to be organized in a better fashion and recipies need fixing. There's nothing like opening a new skill box and gettingtons of recipies which are either broken, missing resources,or are worse than the previous recipes you already possess.
I am fine with rebalancing so long as the end result really is fair. I don't want to see the few good things go away and not have the bad things fixed.
I really want to see low level chef food be better than the high end artisan foods. (I guess I also want to see all the high end chef food exceed the low end chef food.) Just make it make sense, dang it!
Oh....and while you're at it...add more recipe's that don't require milk or fish meat(but don't add any bugs along with them!)
I would be fine with the moving of Tatburns if the rebalancing was competant.
Hey, I can dream...
Seriously though, I too want the buffs to buff more things. And buff better. Skill bonuses, whatever, doesn't matter as long as it varies things, make it less competition for the other buffing classes. It might also be nice to add a couple of bonuses to be gained by the Master Chef box, to make actually being a master useful.
Necroposting....
Funny how all this still applies 3 months later. That may be a sign of a problem.
