#7: Make it a wearable. A small window pops up with a limited size character input box...I type in "Zo's Rodian Roadkill is the Best!" and I get a barrel with two straps that I can wear that says what I typed in the box. And while we are generous, give it 5% resists to all damage types except Lightsaber. It covers the chest and pants slots. Be careful where you position the power conditioner though!
Seriously though....#5 sounds fun (I always like options!) but I'd settle for #1.....I just hate broken schematics!

#1. Remove it. Having the ability to further increase the quantity per drink is just going to increase the inequity in quantity between drinks we produce and food that we produce.
or
#7. Introduce the newly revised Barrel with a line of plates. The plate line would scale up in the quantity multiplier as do our current drink containers to bring food quantity in line with our current and possibly future(barrel) quantity multiplier. Sciguy if you like the plate idea I would be happy to list out my thoughts on how it would work.

18-21 uses is more than fine for drinks. Modifiers for food is so far a BE area and should be left there.
Choice 7 would be best, dump barrels and put in plates. The stack use for food is what is off, not drinks.
I totally agree withe Meplorium. Barrels would result in stack sizes that are two large. They should just be removed all together.
Bonus %multipliers shouldn't be an option as listed in #5. That's a BEs responsibility.
Food really needs amultiplier. It should be optional though, and not required like glasses are now with drinks.

1.
To the person asking about trim...its not made by chefs, its made by tailors so you have to buy it ( casks are the same way )

Casks are large enough as it is.
Barrels will actually hurt your biz more than help it. More uses in brandy= less often is it bought. Casks are more than enough now.

I would like to see it at maybe a 2-3 with double the filling. It has to be a double filling if we are going to get a biiger load out of it. Kinda funny this poll is out because i was going to mess around with the barrel when i got home and make a post about it. lol

Especially now that sales have slowed a bit - The cost factor for the barrels just doesn't make it worth it.. Casks are fine.
I know you also had mentioned in another thread that plates wasn't staying within the frame of the question - but having something like that to increase food would be nice.

Option #1
Just not necessary and would spoil the chef industry if we had to rely onmoreprofessions to make our food. We already consort with tailors, bio engineers and every schmuck that has any scout or ranger skills. Also, if barrels provided a power boost to the stats, would anyone use anything else.
Besides, foods are too expensive already. We don't need reasons to raise the prices any higher.

Put me down for another vote on #1.
I just can't see needing yet another profession to depend on, and I'm happy with the stack size of my drinks.
