Thread: Chefs Revolt against BE and Tailor
2) I dont know many servers where Brandy isnt 150k or more per crate. if it is less than that on your server, then great...I just think this is the low end of the scale.
3) BE's primary source of income is selling to other master professions. They make components for Tailors and Chefs, who then have to make a profit themselves. Those components require meat, and good meat at that. But they have to pay a LOT for that meat because all the other Chefs are bidding on it for their OWN use. I can assure you, a BEs profit margin if they have to buy their own meat (as many do) is FAR lass than that of a Chef.
I can understand your frustration with those prices, but in the end it helps to have a bit more of an understanding of the challenges of these other professions. Trim schematics are very easy to come by, since there is such a small level of profit in it for tailors that they would most likely just rather do the schem for you for a set price. And BEs are quite simply one of the quirkiest crafting professions out there. They have challenges that no other crafting profession has.
Just some food for thought.

I just get tired of having to pay 47k for a crate of Light 67k for Med and 87k for heavy enhancements from BE's and needing trim from a Tailor for Barrels.I quit using any of that and sell my stuff cheaply now, not as good for sure but selling well....Don't get ripped of by that. We should not have to rely on rip offs to make our food and then we have to sell a crate of Brandy for 120k to make a profit...F-That. We need to be stand alone careers and not have to depend on the ripoffs out there, Something should be done about making this crafting stand alone and not be dependant on someone else ripping us off for goods....Please keep bumping this and any help to elevate this issue would be appreciated....Please add your comments and how you all feel about it as well.....Do you feel the same? If I am being an Idiot just say so,,,Lol
Let's take away artisan productes that DE and weaponsmiths need as well! DE's need armorsmith components too. Tailors need BE components. CMs need Doc components. All crafters need merchants.
See a trend here??

Fruit - 8 cpu
Berries - 6 cpu
Gemstone - 2 cpu
Trim - 1 cpu
Wheat - 3 cpu(alcohol)
1.5 mill for 40 crates of +87 BSN.
So it comes out as:
(8 * 20 + 6 * 20) + (1 * 150) + (2 * 1) + (2 * 3) + 1500 ((1,500,000 / 40) / 25) = 1938
Comes out as: +407 (18 uses, 44 m 30 s) 50 filling
I sell on bazaar for 5200, and on vendor for 4500 (in crates of 5, 10 and 25)
Do you reckon my pricing is ok?

Friends help keep costs low and profits high, hehe. I have a friend who makes me +86 mediums (yeah, I take a 6 point loss, but I have good resources to make up for it) for 10k per crate. SO for a full run, I'm spending 400k max. He does the same for lights and heavies. In exchange, I toss him a crate or two of brandy, ahrisa, or Bespin whenever he needs them.
I must say, the overall comments in this thread lift my spirits. Every crafting profession is reliant on other professions. If that is such an issue for a player then they might be better off playing a FPS game instead.
The price the BE is selling tissues for in this quote is insane, even if they are getting a crate or two of food once in a while. The BE is losing money hand over fist and the chef is raking it in. The BE would be much better off setting up a profit share program with the chef instead of a crate of food every now and then.
Also, one thing to consider when asking a BE for a schematic. How would you, as a chef, feel if a BE came to you every two days with all the components and offered you 50K to craft a full run brandy schematic for them? Nice tidy 50K profit for you right? It is no different when you offer 50K for a schematic from that BE. Just something to think about.
