I take great offence at being labelled a cheat by some idiot that doesnt have a goddamned clue about the subject he decides to troll on.

Firstly, factories only gave 100% XP if you were online & close - personally, I can craft about 20k XP worth of gwouch in the time a factory could make me 3k.
Secondly, it was NOT exploiting. It was a bug that could _NOT_ be avoided if you were making items requiring crated items unless you walked 2Km away or quit the server.

Other peoples pets eating food & you getting UXP is NOT a bug. The bug is that instead of 150% UXP, we only get 50%, IF the eater is on hte same zone server, same planet, within 1-1.5km AND you are both online - hardly the best situation

I worked my backside off for over a month to hit Master Chef, and Im not going to let a jumped up child with a chip on his shoulder say I exploited my way there.

Id have LOVED a 5% XP bonus and not have to continually delete gwouch when powercrafting all those weeks, think yourself lucky you have practice mode and shut up, or leave & close the door on the way out.

Kthxbye got no time for trolling whiners

You think wrong, that's exactly what I'd do. I'd use another weapon, and happily look myself in the mirror every day.

And tsk tsk, you didn't pick up on that advice on how to retort with class.

Sure, there's some masters that factory grinded their way to the top, but you named EVERY SINGLE MASTER as an exploiter, and for that, you are being extremely inconsiderate to every single one of us that worked our way to the top through clicking. What do you expect SOE to do? Manually look through every master's logs to see if they used a factory? Oh wait... using a factory guarrantee's a high quality of product... so by trying to get ahigh quality product and in the process getting full uxpyou are a cheat and an exploiter? You're just jealous because you're not willing to put the hard work in that some others did.

Can't really argue with that.

Guys, let's keep things peaceful here.

As for feeling pissed...nah. I almost don't want to be a master chef. In these types of games I think it is the journey that is the fun part, not the destination, so I don't mind taking it slow. Taking it real slow right now with the hopes that the devs put in some fixes to make the journy a lot more fun.

Just FYI, grinding a 4th level box of a tier takes roughly 400 ithorian mists to get.

I can do 5 mists per minute in low lag conditions(try going to a planet with few people... Rori works really well on my server). So a 4th level skill box is only 80 minutes of grinding. It's not all that bad to be honest.

If you were a master pistoleer, with no other weapon skills, and no points, Id love to see you running around blasting things with a CDEF rifle for 3 months until the devs fixed it.

And I didnt resort to a class retort, as I didnt think it deserved the mental exercise in producing one.

I love being a chef, and Im proud I worked my wrist joints into Arthritis doing it.
The original post is actually grounds for libel (or slander can never remember which one is relevant to online postings) as it is a false negative statement about me, and others that have worked damned hard to get where we are today.

No one likes to look in the mirror and say, "Hello you handsome cheater," so they close their eyes instead. People like this ruin the game for others. In this case, he makes the argument agains himself.

"I reported that in the bug tool " ---- admits its a bug.

"and never heard a reply"--- The lack of a personal Dev response means they endorse it?

"so Icontinued doing it"--- makes you a sploiter.

Everyone who wants this game, and their chosen profession, to work, needs to take both parts of responsibility. Find a bug: 1) report it; 2) leave it alone. (step three, report step 1) If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it probably is a duck.

Perhaps you didn't think it was a bug... That would leave much room for discussion, but with the way this was presented, it really doesn't. "I found a bug, but the devs didn't fix it, soI sploited it. That's okay, right?"

No.

And nope, wasn't trolling for a reaction, was putting a simple fact out there. When immoral children exploit game bugs, it disrupts the game for others. The devs so far seem to be compensating by making things tougher for everyone. If instead, people took a hard stance against cheaters, then everyone could enjoy the game in a good environment. Though I'd certainly love a mature retort of some kind, let me say just say, spouting off and calling people names such as "troll" and "jumped up child" really just ten to reflect back on you.

Maybe I missed something here, but how does one NOT exploit when its a UXP bug?

How wouldI have any control whatsoever on what my customers do with my food?

Though you are technically correct Meo, I think that is a bit of a hard line stance for something like a UXP bug. Its not like hes exploiting to get millions of resources he didn earn.

I knew for a fact that factories we SUPPOSED to give 10% exp when they were giving 100%, but I still used my factory during that time.Am I an "immoral child"?

Take it easy with the thought police action.
