Thread: Chef Issues Designer responses
Thanks very much for the response! *huggles*
This has certainly brightened my night now =)
I would like to note, eggs at the moment, as far as any has been able to tell are not required for recipes.
They are protein (meat category) and apparently useable as that and as an organic but they aren't specifically called out as milk is. Unless of course you are looking into changing some of the recipes (schematics) to specifically require eggs and have not done so as yet.
We have 4 skill trees that are all devoted to buffing others. Our buffs should be more desirable than doctors and smugglers, who only use 1 line to craft.
That should be reason enough for a big increase in effectiveness.
Man, the minute my internet goes out they post the report!
Ah well atleast we got a response, even though most of them sounded like a complete overhaul of the profession
It seems like they don't understand 2, 5, and 6.
2. The factories are broken with all stuff and not just Jawa Beer.
5. Eggs might be plentiful but we don't need it. We need milk. Even if milk did come from lairs it would take forever to collect enough for a nice stockpile or a Bantha Butter factory run. The ability to directly search a lair for milk instead of just a randomly picking eggs, milk, or animal sample would help a bit.
6. UXP seems currently busted with food and drinks. Requiring both people to be online and near each other at the same time and only gaining 50% XP. Factory created items don't grant UXP at all.
When will the next chef report need to be sent in? I think we need clarification on this.
Personally, I have no problem with rarity of components being involved in limiting high-end buffs from becoming too commonplace. The top-end food buffs - as with everything else - should be dependent upon "whether I can get enough milk/eggs to make it." People shouldn't normally be sitting on a 100-crate of the top-end food buffs, and such buffs should bring a premium to the person fortunate enough to craft them.
It also provides a reason for some of the low- to mid-level buffs to be used. If food isn't designed to cost significantly more for each progressively better buff, then nobody will ever buy Stewed Gwouch. But if a buff that has 2x duration uses 5x the resources, then the cost on the market will be significantly more, and some people will determine that they can only afford Stewed Gwouch (thus giving lower-end Chefs a position in the economy other than "XP Grinder").
...or should that be XP Hoagie? *grin*

Yes, but milk (eggs are not required for any recipes) is not limited to high-end buffs. The items requiring milk are, so far as we know, of similar quality to items requiring much more easy to find ingredients. There are recipes requiring milk even in the artisan line.
