I am pretty tired of the whole entertainer thing myself.
Every other service in the game can be purchased at a vendor 99% of the time (with the exception of a custom order or a slice). The former is to accomadate the huge differance in play times of all people. Having to rely on another player ....and one being at their keyboard for a service is just not realistic in an MMO.
It was a lot more realistic before the CU massacred the noncombatants. Oh sure, granted there were way more AFK entertainers than ATK, but at least the cantinas were not depopulated. I dropped into the Coronet cantina last night to be semi-AFK while folding laundry, and there was just one person there, and maybe a half-dozen in the whole city. Never thought I'd be nostalgic for ye olde days (all of 6 months ago) when it was hard to walk around in there.
Coronet is dead on my server. Mining Outpost and Theed rule. I miss a busy Coro. Cantina, Med Centre, Spaceport. Just felt more Star Warsy
I have not bothered with the buff, but have noticed a nice nerf to additives. I have materials that should give 119 or 120 heavy additives, yet the cap is 118(experimented to 98%). I can use a lower quality meat, and still achieve the same 118.
since the CU, my chef business has slowed, and my opinion is that they took the crafter out of crafting, everything is just about the same, good materials dont matter as much anymore, everything has hidden caps, and, everytime you just about figure out what had changed, they change it again without telling anyone.
Im waiting for the next nerf... err patch to hit to see whats not working (besides Bria).

Were your additives made with the exact same resources ?
I am certain there is a hidden decimal point value we do not see.

120 is perfect if you have very good resources 119 should not be that hard to get. I just made up some 59's and might possibly beable to hit 60's. While it is a pain to get i definatly see a improvements in my foods. I about broke 500's on my mando wine today. Wish it could be a generic or let the watcher choose what type of buff he recieves but other than that i like it overall.
For the people who feel they don't get all amazing sucesses sometimes it happens sometimes it doesn't regardless you get a 2% increase in resource stats which makes up for it if you choose not to use a all amazing suc schem.
I have never seen 119s on my server ever. You must be very fortunate on your server to have resources to make additives like that.

Its really pathetic and why I battled it tooth nail going live.
Entertainer(s) professions really only appeal to a handful of the SWG gaming populace.
The former is a real issue. And the very lack of them in a "ATK" capacity only proves my point.
Right. I logged my alt on instead.

If you could AFK chef and make more money while AFK than ATK just how many ATK chefs do you think there would be?

What the hell does that twisted logic have to do with this thread ?
The problem is entertainers (in the current form of the game) offer nothing except a buff that crafters want. A buff which requires them to be at their keyboard to target us and click a button.
Only the combat classes benefit from watching "AFK" entertainers because they still get the general xp buff.
If being an entertainer was soooooo popular they would be all over the damn place.
Nice try but you are comparing apples and oranges.

Well I am an AFK crafter. I sell stuff when I am AFK (not even online)
