It took 7 months to correct a spelling error. The developer is grossly incompetent and has no idea of what is or is not happening in the game.


Why in the world should I believe carbines will be fixedany time soon?

ok so we are left STILL with HIGH HAM nowour bleeds suk even more chargeshot1 pffft ya fixed to knockdown now every 10 secs or whatever and gets resisted ridiculously how the hell am i suppose to "control" my target if i can keep it back huh tell me and it has nothing to do with carb. accuracy on my character 106/108 is my stat with carb accuracy......sooooo what is goin on ???

I am soooooo damn tired of this SOE get it together already I can see them thinking that "well we dont need to worry about carbineers sh*t who even plays as a carbineer anyways?? We'll deal with them when we have the time" seriously am I the only one who feels this way???

of course people feel like you do, if you want I'll get my roommate to call you and tell you how I lost my voice swearing when I got in and saw the effects of the changes, but we have to accept it, now we can only wait and hope nova brings good news



PS I'm sitting in game all tomorrow reporting bugs with the class, they don't seem to read posts much but hopefully if the issue is brought up ingame enough it may help bring some change (for the better)

Nova from what i have seen you are a great correspondant, and i am not one to shoot the messengers, but i mean c'mon it would have taken that dev less than 30 seconds to realize /chargeshot2 was not functioning properly. Why do they even bother lieing to us like that? Did he maybe think no one would notice. Also a large issuei had with publish 6 was howthe /chargeshot "fix" was annouced. They added it under the generalcombat section even though it was a carbineer only skill, and we had a carbineer section. This to me seems only to reinforce the fact this was more of a "here you go nerf-herder" than a "thanks for being a carbineer guys" To be perfectly honest with you i dont see what the difference between constantlyKDing someone until you canDBand KD/Dizzy so they stay down long enough you can DB them? Also if the /chargeshot2 code is finished and working why isn't a hotfix in order? But you asked us to stay positive and i will try my best, i am quite pleased that the Dev's stated they will give us some attention before the much needed combat rebalance, that at least gives some us hope even if that hope is based on blind faith from a Dev who is either a liar or not quite versed enough the game to realize /chargeshot2 was not working.

Well Nova no one can say you didn't try, but the devs simply have not worked hard enough to keep me with the carbine profession. For a long time I was a BHer Carbine, Master Carb and I loved it, then I droped BHer to do holoing and found out just how worthless carbineer is. So now I've droped it and joined the ranks of the defense stackers. /shrug


Good luck with your new professions everyone. I can't wait to see just how many master carbineers there are left. LoL!

On the one hand I'm sorry to see people leaving the carbineer profession, because now we'll have less squeaky wheels and the devs may not think we need any grease. But I'm also glad to see you go, it will take them longer to counter balance us when they do fix us and those of us who waited for so long will be uber for a few weeks.

nova, does one of the fixes for publish 7 include the /scatterShot combat spam?

I'd really like know how much damage that special is actually doing...

Im sorry but when this is said"chargeshot2 is not working but the Dev thought it was. He is looking into this more. I think a hotfix is unlikely but who knows" about the DEV, hopes for carbineers or anything else in this game are looking dismal

Looks like he needs to think again lol!!

    Please address (IN THIS LIGHT) the issue of the "spirit" of SW to the devs, Nova. I'm MORE than happy to discuss this particular beef in further detail if you wish, just contact me.


    Note, I have been playing since week 2. I have Only mastered 3 professions, only 1 of which was from a Holo. I have 7 Holos in my house. The point? I play for fun, not for power-gaming (which ultimitely, gets boring once you realize you're not actually ENJOYING playing... and you burn out and quit.)

    You know.. there's one thing in that list I don't see, Nova....


    High, New master Carbineer / Master Doctor here.. as I will be till pilot or jdei quest publish.. but, who knows.


    Anyways.. why don't I see anything about our defenses? Or is it not a mistake that we have an insulting 27 ranged and 0 melee defense?


    And about hunting.. you're all right ofcourse. The only reason I can constantly hunt/solo is because a) I'm always buffed and b) I keep my speeder 5 feet or less from me.


    And on that list... what's wrong with chageshot1 now that they've *fixed* the timer?
