I have a question and want a definitive answer.

As a Master Carbineer, Master Swordsman, I have noticed that I practically counterattack then get hit, then counterattack then get hit.

I never counterattack two times in a row, but i never miss a counterattack every other hit cycle.

Question:

Does counterattack from carbineer and swordsman stack (215 CounterAttack) as long as you are using a Carbine or a Swordsman weapon?

Question:

Does Dizzy, Knockdown, etc stack across all professions regardless of what weapon your using?

I'd really like know how much damage that special is actually doing...

Then watch above your targets head for the damage number.
Seriously, this is such a very minor bug I have not even brought it to the Devs attention. We have much bigger problems than a simple display error. The Devs set priorities often by how easy things are to fix. Imagine if they fixed this little display error instead of fixing the dizzy on our specials.
This very minor bug can wait until our big problems have been addressed.

Well I was merely asking since you mentioned that the Dev fixed a lot of our issues but too close to the deadline. I wasn't implying that you should go lobby it as a Top 10 issue or anything.

Yeah, I can watch the numbers floating sure, just a pain with 3 numbers floating and the fact that they are modified numbers based on resists, AP and the color of the current Australian meat for all I know. With all the emphasis on our broken specials you'd think that knowing the dmg multiplier for one of the few working specials would be an issue.

And no, I can't imagine them fixing this minor display bug. That would imply that they would be able to actually fix something, which they haven't proved in regards to Carbineer.

Occulus, the damage on scattershot2 is very close to crippleshot. It is probably 7-7.5x damage where cripple is 7.5x damage. I have tried to get the exact number but to get the exact number you need a big sample set. Since you need to use this on creatures (you can test all others on lairs), it makes it hard to get the big data set needed to nail it down.

Of course the issue with scatter is it is hitting 3 pools...or 2 pools or 1 pool. Some players love scatter and some think it is useless.

And I am glad you appreciate why I am not asking the Devs to fix the 1 damage bug. As correspondants, we can only ask for some many things. My big push right now is getting our specials working. Everything else they are deflecting as a Combat Revamp issue.

I verified that Counterattack and Block stack across professions as long as your using one of the two weapons from the professions, but what I don't know is about Dizzy KD etc.

Does Dizzy, Knockdown, etc all stack from all professions you get?

Hello.

Since the beginning I wannted to be Master Carbineer and still want. No matter the problems I know CSR will fix it. What reason yould be a game if every one wants to be BH or commando? There must be a balance between the professions.

Carbineer is not dead. I will be one forever.

All these cries of ChargeShot1 nerf, but how did I knock down a melee opponent in a duel 3 times in 30 seconds? This was verified by witnesses.

I will admit fighting Rancors is more challenging, but a melee PC got spammed with ChargeShot1's posture to prone this past weekend. How do all you nerf cry babies explain THAT?

  • --May I ask WHY this is an "exploit", rather than just plain common sense?

Because there must be a risk for the reward. Players cannot be allowed to slap a bleed on a Krayt Dragon, fly away, then come back 10 minutes later and collect their loot. This would allow any character in the game to solo any content in the game making these events trivial.

When I started SWG about four month ago i was heading straight into Ranger and Carbineer (dreaming of an career as Hunter!). When I realized that Ranger is ABSOLUTELY worthless I dropped it for Image Designer (yes you're right, I found some Holocrons), now I'vemastered four Holo professions and Creature Handler for fun, I'm still Master Carbineer.

I was watching friends of mine (Swordsmen, Commandos, Bounty Hunters) doing more Damage, killing more animals, collecting more Hide, Bone, Meat and money than I ever did!!

At the moment I can kill nearly everything with an sliced Laser Carabine with Powerups, a full set of Buffs and two sludge Panters!!

Is this the way to play Carbineer??

Do the Devs think this is fun for a Player, if you cant leave your house without being full buffed??

Do I really need to use my Skill Pointson SUPPORTING Professions like Creature Handler to survive as Carbineer?

Will it last another four month untill Carbineer is finally for use?

I don't know what you Carbineers out there are playing for!! I'm playing this game for fun, and I pay 15 Dollars a month for that!!

So why should I worry any longer on high HAM cost, low Damage, broken Specials, no Defense modifiers, and at last an Elite Carabine (yeah really Elite *lol*)

    I'm done with this profession!

I know exactly what you mean. I am almost to master CH and it makes Carbineer actually useful. Of course I am buffed, I picked up a friend's Master Doctor account so I could have my own personal buffs 100% of the time.

    way off topic...but...

Carbineer with Creature Handler is really fun. I was master of both a few months back. I had a level 62 Gurreck with 12K HAM, AR1, 52% kinetic and 60% energy that I called Tsunami. Her only special was Dizzy but was chosen so that I had access to Dizzy. With Tsunami I could destroy FS NPCs and just about any non-epic encounter. AND! Tsunami was so fast, I could ride a speeder and she would actually be able to keep up with me. It was so convient zipping from place to place and having her at my side.

Alas, I found I soloed too much as a Creature Handler and dumped it so that I would have to group more. However, I can't think of a better master/master combo for one who likes carbines and wants to be able to solo.

I'm running a Master Squad Leader/Creature Handler/Carbineer mix and its doing rather well. I also PvP, so I have my human stats reworked to require buffing in order to be funtional (400-414-414/400-400-400/1100-986-986).

My end goal is to get a trained pet with a Dizzy capability so I can apply my refixed ChargeShot1, or with buffs, I basically lay down a continuous stream of FullAutoSingle2 (which a DPS calculator told me was better than BurstShot1 for damage on target) and stand behind pet tanks.

The other thing I have gotten into is Jedi Escort. Master Squaddie giving the Jedi terrain negotiation comparable to a Master Scout and me with ChargeShot able to put the hunter down and buy the Jedi time to get clear. With pet support for additional cover when necessary.
