I do have a reply to that, EisMan_Buckeye, but it is not appropriate on the carbineer's forum. If you really want to talk about this, I suggest you start a thread on the combat medic forum. Just be careful how you word it, all the nerf cries have made people there touchy in regards to trolling.

He might have been KD'd but I think it would still be over 1k dmg.

cripple shot is probably the strongest shot in the carbineer profession but the problem is, it is really slow, so what was said before, once your at the speed cap, crippleshot is really deadly if used properly

Dps is a good number to go by, but when you can do alot of damage at once, 1000 points in pvp, is good. 40% more damage over time maybe an increase but being able to empty a ham bar all in one shot is worth the 3 sec delay. Do I recommend spam this shot, by all means no! Crippling shot has a use even for use 60 speed carbineers, but spamming it is by no means the answer, think of it as the finishing move.

Dude I pvp daily, I mostly log to pvp... I have been overt for 3 weeks in a row.. I solo pvp and do good but my main area is support.. I have DH17 carbines with 530 max damage and with +81 ideal range... I have laser carbines with 630 max damage... If there is one thing you cannot do... is: 1000 damage in pvp lol

When I fight someone unarmored... my DH17 will destroy him in a matter of seconds but never will I have 1000 damage. As for cripple shot, i'm starting to believe it tracks your target weakness... Most of the time I use it, it will hit my target right on a spot with no armor.. ((this is only my personnal rumor.. try it and see..)) I might be lucky or simply right..

Trust me if I cold make 1000 damage on people, I would be in heaven... Yes you can do up to 20K damage on lair that doesn't count.

Do the math! If the person you are fighting has no armour or a broken armour piece and is one of those stacked brawler types then a laser carbine is better than your dh17. TA said if you kd some one over and crippled them you could do 8000 points of damage in pve, so with the 75% pvp reduction you could hit someone for 2000 points of damage in pvp.

Because you use a dh17 you are missing the importance of armour piercing.

I think TA is talking about DPS, where as Easy is talking about max damage. Ihit some guy a little over 1500 once in PvP, according to the combat spam (remember, the combat spam is before armor and defensive buffs), but there are a few things that made that possible that you are not alwways fortunate to have happen. I Kded him, he wasn't wearing armor, it was a laser carb so I assume he had no ranged mitigation. Also, I can't remember if I had any states on him, but there may have been states, and his BF may have been high. None the less, it can be done, just not as often as I would like lol.

Dps is like batting average.

Max damage is like slugging percentage.

It sometimes happens, not alot , but it does! However not often enough, lol. I have also blasted a few people who had broken armour parts, skill attachments or something.

I knew a wookiee Master Rifleman/Master Squad Leader with a bit of TKA who was fargin' lethal without armor.

His accuracy and damage with the rifles compared to me as a Master Carbineer was overwhelming.

That is a Rifleman of any species with or without armor.....

But lets keep in mind the majority of cases, not one or two out of a thousand....

Understood, unfortunately the majority of cases these days are Rifleman/Combat Medics.

Rifleman no longer bother me much, but those darn CM still rule.....

AND the Devs are quite stern about NOT nerfing them.....goodness.....

But hopefully something else in the Combat Balance will knock the CM down about 5 pegs
