I can still get them, though. The downside is they are about all I can get.

I had a run in last week before I went on vacation against a Rifleman/CM and even through the poison and disease, I at least sent him to the cloner first. I was trying for the Scatter Mind kill, but when he started popping the Jawa at me, little blue 636's started appearing over my head. I doubletapped blue milk and switched to FullAutoSingle2 and landed the Dizzy. One ChargeShot later, the FOTM was flopping and I used Scatter2 for the fast kill and DB.

Unfortunately, I took it hard on the noggin from a GTEFing Imperial who hit me with a token Mind hit for the incap and DB.

She was wearing a Master Musician title. Very embarassing...

But hopefully something else in the Combat Balance will knock the CM down about 5 pegs

I dislike it when somebody mentions combat medics outside the combat medic forum. I feel compelledto chime in aboutthem but it is not an appropriate venue... In short though, as I believe stated by the devs at the fan fest, combat medicsmay have some issues, but if they exist they are more of a byproduct of bugs and other issues in the system than a reflection on combat medics themselves. And even so, there are many counterbalances to combat medics in the current system which may or may not be adequate.

If you want to start a conversation about combat medics, I would be more than happy to converse about it on the combat medic forum if you start a thread. Just keep in mind that we are very touchy about trolls there (a byproduct for when literally 3/4 of the posts there were from various people flaming others), so be sure to be civil in tone, not exaggerate your numbers, and not flame. (And even then, there is about a 90% chanceit will degenerate into a flame fest after about 10 posts and be locked down...)

Unless of course you *really* want to start a combat medic conversation in the carbineer forums.

Edit: The offer extends to you as well, Rorenikibi.

Ah, don't worry about us. We've got enough issues in here to try and work out without getting into a forumfire fight over another profession.

If its the case that the issues that allow CMs to wipe our HAM bars to the tune of 1000 points a tick are the result of the same issues that allow crafters to create 90% resist armor, so be it.

It doesn't make living with those issues any more pleasant.

Agreed. How many days until the combat revamp?

Yes, against melee professions or profs without mitigation, i easily do over 1500 pvp damage with a laser carbine while they are KDed.... this is before their armor is brought into acount however, so for the most part you wont get that kind of damage. However crippling shot does have its uses, it allows us carbineers to kill nasty things like NS elders quickly

I would like to take a minute to point out that anything I may have written in the above post in no way reflects badly on SOE or any of its affiliates, and in fact I am ecstatic and overjoyed that I am able to participate in such a well-programmed, bug-free, and engaging game with such wonderful and helpful forums moderated by such fine and upstanding people. NS Eldershave heavy armor with 25% resists to energy, blast, and restraint (I think it's just those 3, might be one more). It's that damn dirty heavy armor that gets us.

NS elders have 25% heavy armor to energy to start. Blasting away at her with one of ben'jais dmg sliced laser carbs with cripple shot i can hit for around 1k dmg/shot, and i usually keep her bled with an enhanced e-11. I am bh also, so i can kite her fairly well and if she gets too close i can use burstrun. Now once you get them down to 1/2 their health or so their armor starts to decay. I can do an elder in under 20 minutes if the conditions are right, and i dont run into groups of more NS while i am running away. Got a nice vibro axe wtih +25 polearm accuracy the other night off one

What are you smokin'? Most of those Elders should be 90-100% resistant to all attacks from us and med-heavy armor.....QUICKLY???

Hmmmm

We had a Spiderclan Elder in the Dath Outpost last night.....350k HAM, heavy armor, only weakness 80% heat. Of course my EE3 didn't do **edit** but energy was 100% resist....After 30-40 of us gang banged the Elder, which she had about 150k wounds, for 10 minutes she dropped and went POOF....nobody got loot as she disappeared.

Hehe Eisman can attest to the abusability/overpoweredness of the CMs. Ran into him at the imp outpost on dant last night. A rebel cm kept clone tefing a group of 10-15 buffed imps until we had no mind left, we had a doc, but there's no way a doc can go around healing fast enough to keep up.

I hate CMs, I hope they are nerfed to the point where their poisons tick for 5 damage and they have to be applied withing 5 meters of each target on a 5 minute delay with a ham cost of 500.
