Right, but there's the qualifier, unarmored opponents.

Even with the pathetic stats on Wookiee armor, there are few unarmored opponents out there.

The general assumption (assumption is a bad word, typically, but we do it anyway) is that hardcore PvP is done against armored opponents.

Well that is an entirely different story. I run around with 90% energy, 38% stun composite, and 25% energy 45% stun PSG...and usually some synthsteak. I can generally take a beating from anything....except CMs. They have definitely broken the 1000 barrier. There are 1100+ tick mind poisons on my server now :/

It is not even HARDCORE PvP to be armored.....that is just standard and has been for months. Anybody in PvP without armor deserves to get spanked and sent immediately to the Cloner

Was I not clear in my other post? I thought I went out of my way to say that it was NOT a common thing to hit for that much damage, but it IS POSSIBLE given the proper circumstances. I have done it a number of times. I am also talking about Combat Log damage, and not acutal damage. I have enough things on my hand in PvP, I don't watch numbers fly out of people's heads like if I were testing on a rancor or something lol. That's ALL I was saying.

Also, on my server, it is very common to be killed in PvP (in Theed for example), to clone, and then to jump right back into battle. Most people take thier armor off when they do this as the encumberance is too high when they are unbuffed. Often times, one side will wipe out the other, and vise versa, leaving only a small fraction of buffed people left. I actually enjoy this way of fighting (unbuffed) better. Yes I die more, but I also kill more. So people with no armor may not be very common where you guys play, but they are where I play.

I feel your pain man. We have 1000+ tick Mind DISEASES on my server. Not only are you out in one tick, you take a while to get back in as well. Totally out of balance if you ask me.

Funny thing is that I still beat people that take their armor off......I keep mine on and use the hell out of Stim B's Both unbuffed of course

I can't help but laugh at ANYBODY for ANY reason in PvP without armor on my server.....

BUT, the whole point about this ridiculous 1000 point damage shot is that it is NOT THE NORMAL CASE so lets not mislead any NOOBs coming into Carbineer with such crazy claims......otherwise those cry baby nerf herders will suck the last drop of life out of Carbineer

That's exactly why I tried to stress that it is NOT something that happens every day.

To the noobs that are just strolling in and thinking about crying nerf...

Don't mind me, just trying toclarify some misleading information before it finds its way to the combat medic forum in the form of a(nother) nerf thread.

A 1000+ mind tick disease (let alone a 1500+ mind tick disease) can only be made using pre-nerf spider venom. These are few and far between, incredibly expensive (a rough guess would put it at more expensive than bounty hunter armor, but this is purelyspeculation on my part), and rapidly running out. You will also find few combat medics who disagree that it is unbalancing and something should be done about them (including possibly simply removing them entirely from the game).

To judge a combat medics based off of 1000 tick poisons, and 1000 tick diseases would be equivalent to judging carbineers by form fitted stocked and kryat'd carbines, and legendary carbines respectively. It can be done, but many would argue that it is not really a fair judgement.

Either that, or you are going into combat with 500 battle fatigue, in which case you deserve what you get...

Sorry to interrupt. Now, back to the carbineers.

I was a master CM for 5 months. It was my 1st elite profession. I had it before and after the 75% reduction of damage in PvP took place for everyone else. I had it before and after they stopped allowing DOTs to incap a player. I know what it's like being a CM. Yes, it is hard to compete with anything other than poison since you don't get to stack on defenses, but poison and disease DOTS should take a 75% reduction in PvP just like everyone else. You can not tell me that one toss of a disease should be able to give an entire group of players 1000+ mind wounds in one tick. I understand about the spider venom, but even 400 wounds per tick is insane. CMs ARE out of balance with other combat professions. That is why I dropped it.
